Monika is an extremely pleasant host that made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The pictures don’t give this beautiful cozy place justice. The fireplace just gave an incredible feel to the whole house. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the days we stayed here alot

We had a fantastic holiday in this lovely cottage which was very well equipped and very clean. Monika the host is a lovely person, very friendly and helpful. It's an ideal base for visiting a very pleasant, interesting area.

A week away near the sea

We enjoyed being close enough to Honfleur to walk into town as parking is difficult and expensive. The owner is charming and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Would recommend the property and hope to return as the house is very private and surrounded by a beautiful garden

Perfect Honleur visit

This was one of our best VRBO rentals over many years. From the property location, condition, owner communication and private location it definitely deserves 5 stars. Honfleur is a fantastic place and the town is within walking distance from the home..maybe 10 minutes. The surrounding villages, Chateaus and historic landing beaches are easily reached. I will recommend this home to any of my friends looking to visit the Normandy region

Charming cottage

We had a wonderful week in this charming cottage in the lovely village of Honfleur. The house has everything that is needed and all is of good quality. We enjoyed the wood stove. The owner is very nice and lives close by in case of need. We can only recommend the place.

Hello Daniel, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to leave us a nice review. It was very great to see you and your family again, I hope that Sibyl enjoyed Honfleur . Last year when you stayed with us we had sofabed, but since wintertime this has changed and the Vrbo website has been updated adequetly . The rental of the cottage is for 4 adults and by general filter for 5 adults our house is not showing up in a display. Nonetheless, we can accept an extra child by adding a bed mattress or a travel cot, this means we have 5 sleeps, however in the request filter guests needs to fill in the age of their children before I accept the reservation. Your latest vacation inquiry was for three grown-ups, consequently no issue there. :) All the best for you and your family and perhaps see you again.

Great house, great location, great host

At the same time two great experiences: the chalet is very rural and quiet and green; and in a few minutes walking you are in the centre of the beautiful Honfleur. The house was great for our small kids; there were even games and a baby bed and a stroller. The host was great. A very warm person and when we had a question the answered and acted immediately.

A little away from the city center, just right for us!

A beautiful house, cozy and just right for us in the winter. Everything we needed was there. The many positive reviews speak for themselves. They don't need to be repeated to confirm it. The contact with the landlady was great: nice, helpful, eloquent, educated... We had a nice week and may come back one day.

Wonderful weekend

Beautiful property in a fantastic location looking out towards the Pont de Normandie. A short walk downhill to Honfleur. The property is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Monika our host welcomed us, gave us helpful directions to the town centre, gave us ideas for good restaurants, walks, and places to visit. We had a wonderful long weekend. Thank you

Short early summer break

We stayed in Hornfleur at Le Chalet in May and found it to be a very comfortable place to spend time with views across the estuary towards the suspension bridge, withun a quiet part of the town. The cottage is very well catered for with most appliances and all that you need to enjoy your stay. We would highly recommend it and Monika the host was very helpful on arrival explaining the facilities as well as recommending some places to eat. Of which there are many very good restaurants especially for fish lovers... Thanks again for a wonderful stay. The Cooper Morrow family.

Great base

The cottage (Le Chalet Normand) was a convenient and comfortable base for discovering Hornfleur on foot and the entire surrounding regions of Normandy by car during our six-day stay (we had spent the previous week visiting western Normandy with Bayeux as a base). The half-timbered cottage is well-appointed and sparkling clean. Easy walking (15 minutes) many very good and several truly great restaurants in the heart of charming and historic Hornfleur. Beautiful flowers are everywhere - even in early October. Monika is an attentive hostess and great communicator who lives nearby and whose artistic skills are on display in several paintings which adorn the cottage.

One of the best self catering stays .

As soon as we arrived and were met by Monika we knew we were going to have a really good stay.The house was perfect for us. Well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery,cooking utensils and sharp knives-a rarity in holiday accommodation in my experience. Also a decent cooker, washing machine and dishwasher and the tablets and powder to use them.Even an apron! Beautifully kept,furnished and decorated.Comfortable large L shaped sofa and importantly a comfortable bed and pillows. Good shower too and nicely fitted modern sanitaryware.I was really impressed by the whole set up.We couldn't have asked for more. It really was only an easy 15 minute walk to the centre of Honfleur with good food shops.Monika advised about the excellent fish shop there and a short drive away the bakers nearby,plus the best cider and calvados maker and wine merchant . .Good Saturday market; Wednesday one much smaller.

L'hébergement correspond parfaitement à la description. L'accueil par Monika a été très chaleureux, nous apporté tous les informations pour découvrir au mieux la région qu'elle connaît parfaitement. Au sein d'un environnement paysager très agréable, le chalet a beaucoup de charme lié à l'ancien. et offre toutes les commodités nécessaires pour passer un excellent séjour sur les hauteurs de Honfleur. Par ailleurs, sa situation permet d'accéder à pied en quelques minutes aux commerces et animations du centre ville. Sehr schönes Haus, sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Monika ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, die viele Tipps und Empfehlungen gibt. In die Stadt braucht man zu Fuß trotz des Gefälles keine 10 Minuten, zum Hafen sind es vielleicht 5 Minuten mehr.Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.
