Waikiki Banyan amenities: ∙ Pay laundry room just steps away, diagonally across the hall from our front door (there is a laundry room on every floor) with an app available to download to pay for your laundry using your smart phone. *Note due to the recents storms on Oahu that caused widespread power issues, the laundry rooms on our floor or even in our building may be out of service. Laundry machines are available in Tower 1 just across the lobby our second building. We apologize for the inconvenience.
∙ the Banyan Breeze Coffee Shop in the lobby offers great coffee and other beverages, and delicious food. A computer, internet, and printer are available in the coffee shop for a small charge
∙ Well-stocked convenience store mini-mart in the lobby
∙ The Waikiki Banyan is currently undergoing a complete renovation of our recreation deck. The rec deck and all associated amenities - including the pool - are currently CLOSED. The newly remodeled recreation deck on the 6th floor was projected to reopen May 4th however the recent severe storm may now delay reopening slightly. We will post further updates as we get them. Perfect for the whole family with a large heated swimming pool, sauna, 3 hot tubs, lots of deck chairs, cabanas, barbecues, children's playground, basketball and tennis court and more. Photos and reopening date to come soon!
*Important note: The hot tubs and pool are closed for annual maintenance for two weeks each year. This is usually done sometime in late spring/early summer but we have no control over the timing. While we will advise of the exact dates each year as soon as they are scheduled, we will not be responsible if this necessary annual maintenance closure falls during your booked stay. The remainder of the rec deck will remain open during this time. Accidents also sometimes happen which necessitate the pool being closed for short periods for cleaning. Again, this is beyond our control and we are not responsible for any emergency closures that may happen from time to time. We apologize for any inconvenience these closures may cause.
We purchased our condo in 2012 and we lovingly renovated it again in 2025 with comfort and relaxation in mind. Since then, we have welcomed hundreds of guests, all of whom have loved our unit as you can see by our many 5* Star reviews. Perfect location to have a rental car and walk around waikiki. Unit is incredibly clean and includes everything required for a vacation compared to a hotel room. Instructions are clear and check in/out is super easy. Would stay again!
Awesome spot in Waikiki! The building amenities such as free parking, in building laundry, building security, convenience store and coffee shop make Waikiki Banyan perfect. This particular unit was beautiful, had great mountain views, comfy king bed and everything we needed for the beach. The host Cathy was great, had fast communication and very accommodating when our flight was changed. Will stay here again on our next trip!
Perfect location, just a walk to the beach! Apartment was immaculate and was very well stocked with anything you could possibly need. Owner stayed readily available by phone in case you had issues or questions. Best VRBO experience i have ever had!!

This is a lovely condo, in a great location near multiple restaurants and only a block from a calm water beach, and with a very friendly and helpful host. AND, you can’t beat the view. Grab it if it’s available!

The condo was in the perfect location and was outfitted with anything we could possibly think to need. Clean, organized, and stocked with all necessities. Cathy was extremely responsive and easy to work with. Laundry was accessible and much needed for us! Waikiki Beach was just a 5 minute walk.Would highly recommend stay here! No hesitations and no regrets!

My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon here in Waikiki. A big part of it was the service that Cathy provided. From having everything we needed (chairs, sun relief cream, reusable bags, ponchos, etc) in the rental space. It’s also as beautiful the pictures if not (better!). You name it - she had it. The location was awesome, and a major plus was the guaranteed parking. We are already keeping our eye out for our next vacation here! Thank you Cathy for sharing this space. Best first trip to Hawaii for us!
I was so excited to leave a review the second we got here. I was searching for a place to stay in Hawaii for my honeymoon for MONTHS and I’m so happy I didn’t book somewhere junky just to get it over with. The price was super fair and This location is right in the middle of everything so we could walk just about everywhere. Temperature of the room was good, beautiful view, no bugs, cute decor, our host was ON TOP of the communication anytime we needed help. Also extremely detailed instructions on how to park,” and get to the room. We weren’t bothered by any neighbor, and this room had everything we possibly could’ve needed from flittered water, ice packs, kitchen utilities, to coolers, beach chairs and snorkel gear and that actually meant a lot that she made sure we didn’t have to pay a million more dollars on tiny little things we’d have to buy cause the room had it all. Also there’s a cute little coffee shop and store in the building if we needed anything else. I was skeptical cause I don’t think this place had a ton of reviews when I booked (unless I’m confusing it with somewhere else) but it was worth it and we had a wonderful trip. Thanks for everything and So Sad we’re leaving!!!!
The property is ideally situated in the heart of Waikiki and with parking! Views from the unit are great, and with an end unit, could even see diamond head. The unit is well appointed, with a complete and well stocked kitchen and everything else you need. We would definitely stay here again!

This place has all the amenities you need & more, like coffee pods, full kitchen supplies, beach chairs & towels. Cooking breakfast made it so easy. This place is very clean and well organized. Checking in was also easy & the host responded quickly & communicates very well. Parking is definitely a Plus, especially in Waikiki. We will definitely return here again. Thank you Cathy, we enjoyed our stay here.
We had a great stay at Cathy's condo. The decor is great, very lovingly done - everything like in the pictures. And there was simply everything you could have needed on site. There was coffee and fresh milk sticks in the fridge - and filtered tap water. We didn't cook anything ourselves, but if you want to do that, the kitchen has all the equipment you could wish for. The communication with Cathy was super friendly and accommodating. There was a small problem with the door lock and she took care of everything immediately so that we had absolutely no restrictions. Should we travel to Oahu again, we will definitely stay here again.

The unit is exactly as described and shown in pictures. Location is fabulous, within walking distance of everything in Waikiki. Parking was easy in and easy out for anyone who has a car. The unit was quiet, comfortable, and attractive and owner was very helpful. A great stay.

This felt like a home, great view of the mountains, open floor plan, very clean. A/C maintained the entire home. We had such a wonderful stay here. The location is perfect and provided a lot of things that came in handy during our trip from beach towels w/mat, toiletries etc. The unit was clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked too with supplies and we felt at home away from home. The view from the balcony was stunning! Cathy also had great communication throughout the whole process to make sure we were okay, which we appreciated very much. Thank you Cathy for everything! We'll definitely be back!

Stayed for 2.5 weeks Feb. 2019. Corner unit with stunning views. Very clean and well maintained. It has everything we need. Just felt like staying at home. Excellent location. 2 min. walk to beach and lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Owner provides very detail info on driving, amenities and local attractions. Would definitely recommend to friends or relatives.

This unit was perfect! Everything was perfectly clean and cozy. The host literally has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The unit it self was very modern with updated kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has every appliance you could possible need. We enjoyed the location being a few blocks from the ocean, the zoo, or the canal. Free parking included on site with the pass saved us so much money. Our host made sure we were comfortable and stayed in touch with us throughout the entire trip.
We’re so happy we stayed at Cathy’s apartment near the Ala Wai in Waikiki. Gorgeous view facing the mountains and my childhood hone of Manoa Valley. Refreshing cross breezes because this is a corner unit. Best bed we’ve ever slept in! Immaculate, lovely space which was a super, relaxing vacation home. Also super to have a parking space included. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

We rate the condo and all services at a 10. The location, unit and services were perfect. Looking forward to the exact same vacation. The owners could not be more gracious and helpful. We had the opportunity to see another unit at the Banyan and there was no comparison to this one.

We at part time residents of Hawaii and rent our place during the times we are back in Vancouver, BC Canada. We fell in love with the Waikiki Banyan and all it has to offer. We love the separate bedroom, gorgeous views and full kitchen. We knew we wanted to be on the quiet, cool side of the building, with views of the mountains, canal and Diamond Head. After much searching for the right unit, we bought our condo in January, 2012. We lovingly renovated it from top to bottom and have just recently renovated and modernized it again in 2024. We look forward to welcoming you to our home and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
The Waikiki Banyan is one short block from world famous Waikiki Beach. We are a short walk to Kapiolani Park and the Honolulu Zoo. There are many shops and boutiques just a short stroll away and there is a bus stop right outside our door, with buses covering the entire island. Great cafes and world class restaurants are all within walking distance. We think it is the best location in all of Hawaii and the amenities are great.
