50th anniversary of the Foreman's Fund / Ho Aloha golf tournament
Came to play in this 50th anniversary tournament. Loved the beach areas! Explored some small businesses that turned out to be real gems, like Notty's Italian Subs and Castle Rock Creamery.

We'd love to have you back again for your next golf outing! Thanks for the tips for Notty's and Castle Rock. We'll have to check them out!
Carol and John were great in assisting our needs. Communications were perfect every step of the way. A great older cabin situated with mature trees, quietness outside area. A very short walk and you’re at a private beach. Great accommodations for our group and enjoyed our stay. We will back!!

Beautiful Lake Tahoe
The private beach was beautiful, the scenery was unbeatable. The house is an older home, we had extremely hot days and were unable to return to the house in the afternoon temp 85+ degrees downstairs & hotter upstairs. Most older homes in Tahoe have no air conditioning, if going in summer and need a cool place to relax after the beach- find a home with air conditioning.
This place has everything we were looking for: hot tub, private beach, grill. Marty was very easy to work with.
Although we were very pleased with our stay, I deducted a star for a couple reasons that could use improvement. The upstairs turns into a dry sauna and is pretty much uninhabitable between noon and 7pm. A few details in the binder and overview paperwork emailed are outdated including the check-in process. Lastly, the TV is super tiny (which is clear in the listing). This would normaly not be an issue as you're supposed to be outside in Tahoe, but the World Cup was on during our stay.
To sum up, it was great for what we were looking for and we would stay again.

7 day vacation stay
The location of this property was right on. A beautiful walk to the nearby beach through woods and down a path to the private beach. Wonderful sunset sitting place each night.
The house needs some major cleaning in bedrooms, washing of windows, and some big house project updates. Bedrooms are upstairs and need much cleaning and window updating and window blinds to keep out the early and afternoon sun. Screening is very dated and can fall out if you are not careful. Gets very hot upstairs. Can use fans that are available but they are quite dirty.
Not many outlets upstairs for charging items at night.
Mattresses are uncomfortable.
Back porch deck has nails/screws and boards coming out in places. Need to wear shoes when on that porch.
Private hot tub was nice.
Main floor very comfortable. Kitchen had plenty of dishes, and cooking supplies. There is a separate ice machine but it did not work. Could not use laptop or other device to connect to TV to watch items and could not use the DVD player to play DVD's. Not sure what connection was not working?
There is a brand new gas grill on the back deck but it did not work. Could use charcoal grill that is available but need to be careful of fire and control that. Owner did allow us to use that grill.
Communication with property owner was not quick. Slow to respond at times to email prior to visit and during visit. But they were gracious on several items.

Michael,
Thank you for your feedback. The new gas grill was completely operable shortly after you departed. Unfortunately it can be challenging working with service providers in the Tahoe basin. In terms of communication I provide my cell phone to all renters so that they can reach me quickly via a phone call or text which has worked quite well for many years. We will be addressing all the other items you mentioned.
Thank you
You cannot beat this location. We had a really relaxing time at this rental and walking such a short distance to the beach each day was amazing!! Lots of space to relax and share meals on the back deck, everything you need in the kitchen. As other reviewers have noted, the bedrooms are upstairs and get quite warm during the day. There was also some construction noise in the neighborhood and I kind of assume that happens every summer since so many houses in the area have been remodeled or totally rebuilt.
What a gem of a property. For this location and proximity to the lake, I suspect you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal. Property was extremely well supplied in the kitchen, bathroom and living room areas. It was really fun to have such a homey feel. My wife and I are very grateful that we were able to make use of this property, and make so many great memories with our kids.

We love this neighborhood!
We love being in Lake Tahoe on the 4th and this neighborhood is the best! We had a great time and loved being able to relax outside anytime, and nothing beats being able to walk to the beach in 3 mins!
Cosy, rustic cabin had just the right amount of space for a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Kitchen was well equipped, back deck full of sunshine and lots of bed options to suit. We appreciated having 2 bathrooms, an ice maker, beach towels and chairs which proved useful. Proximity to the beautiful beach, walking trails and ships made this the perfect location for our holiday. Would love to stay again!

All in all we had a great time and enjoyed staying there and would go back.
It is a very old family cabin, not fancy. That did not bother us. House is very well stocked with everything you need. The front and back decks are really nice. The location is perfect and a close walk to the private beach. The private beach is great and so nice not to deal with crowded Nevada Beach. They ran out of parking for the people that needed to drive to the private beach. The house is old family cabin and needs some repairs to blinds, screens and windows. The one room with the queen and two twin beds is big with a beautiful view but the window coverings are very thin and do not keep out the afternoon sun or the early morning sun so we could not sleep past 5:20. It was really hot in the afternoon. Screens and window needs repair. It would be great if they put some new heavier blinds in the room.

A great place to stay
I love the Elk Point area, especially in the Summer months. This house has a great location just steps from the beach, and has a spacious back deck for dining or relaxing. The house had all the amenities we needed (with the exception of laundry) and we greatly enjoyed our 5-day stay.

Why they chose this property
If you are looking for the classic Tahoe Cabin experience, you cannot beat this location for your stay. There are so many recreational, shopping & dining experiences nearby, or simply enjoy the peace & quiet of a community with a private beach. The beach at Elk Point is a prime spot for the annual 4th of July fireworks display.
What makes this property unique
PRIVATE GATED COMMUNITY WITH PRIVATE BEACH. STUNNING VIEWS OF THE SIERRA HIGH COUNTRY AND LAKE TAHOE. CLOSE TO MANY NIGHT AND DAY ACTIVITIES. CLOSE TO ALL CONVENIENCES, YET WITH A FEELING OF PRIVACY AND SO FAR AWAY FROM IT ALL. THIS PROPERTY FACES WEST WITH VIEWS OF MT.TALLAC & THE ENTRANCE TO EMERALD BAY. WE ENJOY ALL DAY SUN, UNLIKE OTHER PARTS OF TAHOE WHERE YOU LOSE YOUR SUN AT 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON. YOU WILL BE ENJOYING THE OUTDOORS HERE WELL INTO THE EVENING HOURS, WHETHER ON THE BEACH UNTIL SUNSET, OR ON THE DECK AT THE HOUSE. MOST FOLKS THAT DISCOVER ELK POINT AGREE, IT IS A HIDDEN GEM. NOT KNOWN TO MANY, BUT THE LUCKY FEW.
