About Jules Glasspool
I grew up in the West Indies, went to university to study Modern Languages in St Andrews, Scotland, and trained as a journalist, working as Features Editor for Country Living Magazine in London. I'm married to David and have 3 children. I love travelling, and think the best beaches in the world are in the Far West of Cornwall!
Jules Glasspool purchased this Farmhouse in 2006
Why Jules Glasspool chose Sennen Cove
Esther's Field has a special atmosphere. I think this is partly due to its great age and significance (it is Grade II Listed as a historical building of interest) and its architectural charm. It is also because of its amazing position tucked into the hillside above Sennen Cove, affording vast, all-round views of sea, sky and coastline: truly breathtaking.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
At Esther's Field, you will find peace and seclusion, but the glorious Cornish countryside, the beach, the sea and the amenities of Sennen itself are all just a few minutes from the house on foot. You will have the best of both worlds!

What a fantastic house and stunning place.
We loved every minute of our stay. This is a real gem on the landscape. From the stunning views to the cosy feel, we were sad to say goodbye. The bonus of a real wood fire in the lounge was very welcome when returning from a walk with the dog.
There is no doubt we'll be booking again, if Jules will let us.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review - I'm really happy you had such a good break in beautiful Sennen. We would love to have you stay again!
This was our second visit to Esthers field, and it won’t be our last. Loved it.
Jules is very helpful, and easy to communicate with. Sennen cove is the perfect family get away. My children, husband, dog and myself loved every minute. And the cottage was the cream on top.

Esther's Field is in a perfect position to enjoy the beautiful coastal area surrounding Sennens Cove. We were a family group aged from 10 to 81 year olds and the house catered well for all ages. On arrival we stepped in to the main sitting room and saw that magnificent fireplace and the welcoming Christmas tree and we knew that we would have a very happy family Christmas and New Year. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds were very comfortable and the second sitting room a boon for different (generational ?)tastes. A thoughtful addition were the books about Esther's Field and the local region which enhanced our knowledge and understanding of the history of the areas to see and explore. Many exhilarating hours were spent on long walks discovering the breathtaking views, clambering over rocks and the occasional dip in the sea including the traditional Christmas Day hundred +peoples mad dash. 13 year old Rhys and 10 year old Poppy were absolutely in their element!
Thank you to Jules and Jessie for their hospitality and opportunity to visit this stunning and photogenic part of England which we were so very reluctant to leave.
The Cottrell and Ireland families
Thank you so much so for such a brilliant and helpful review! You really outlined all the wonderful aspects of Christmas at Esther's Field, and all the many things there are to do and see. I do hope we can welcome you back again soon.
This was our 6th visit to Sennen and this was by the the best property we’ve stayed in. Very comfy, very cosy and stunning views. Perfect enclosed garden for our pet Beagle. It’s the first time she’s never managed to escape.
Thank you for your great review: very happy that you were so comfortable at Esther’s Field- and that your Beagle had a good week safely in the garden!
What you see is what you get ...
The many previous glowing reviews of Esther's Field inevitably raise high expectations, which were not at all disappointed. A beautiful house, immaculately presented in a stunning location. Many thanks to Jules the owner and Jessie who looks after the house for her.
And many thanks to you too for such a lovely review. So glad you had a great week and do hope we can welcome you back to Esther’s Field very soon.
Esther's Field sits peacefully in its own garden, but is just a few minutes walk from the beautiful white sands and crystal-clear waves of Sennen Cove. There are also pubs, cafes, shops and a little art gallery a few minutes walk from the house. Sennen is famous for its mile-long stretch of golden sands, safe swimming and clear Atlantic rollers. There's an excellent Surf School here too - they provide wetsuits, boards etc. The house is on the Coastal Path, so walks around this spectacular coastline are on your doorstep. Great opportunities for spotting native bird and plantlife. Or go on horseback - the Land's End Stables are just down the road. Visit the amazing Minack Theatre cut out of the cliffs or the rocky outcrops of Land's End, the many nearby coves and beaches and the numerous mystical prehistoric sites. Enjoy the Tate Gallery in St Ives, and the well-known towns and villages of the Far West like Mousehole, St Just and Pezance with excellent small art galleries, cafes and antique shops
Other Activities: hiking, swimming, surfing, coasteering, birdwatching, kite-boarding.
