About this property
Panoramic sea views overlooking the beach – on the South West Coast Path
Vessacks is a family holiday home in Porthcurno, Cornwall, with panoramic views over the sea from practically every room. It sleeps up to 8 people and is ideal for young and grown-up families, groups of friends and couples.
With several beaches a short walk away, and the South West Coastal Path passing the house, Vessacks well situated for summer beach holidays and out-of-season stays for walking and exploring.
Nearby attractions include the South West Coast Path, Porthchapel, Porthcurno and Pedney beaches, Porthgwarra Cove, the Minack Theatre & the PK Museum of Global Communications. Boat and foraging tours can be booked, as can surf lessons at nearby Sennen. Some excellent restaurants and pubs can be found in the neighbourign areas, including Newlyn, Mousehole, Sennen and Penzance.
West Penwith is naturally wild with steep cliffs, sheltered beaches and coves, and an unusual variety of plant life due to its mild and humid climate. There's lots of wildlife to be spotted in the sea, sky and on the ground, which will please birdwatchers and nature buffs.

About the host
Hosted by Katherine
It’s four decades since Ann Grace fell in love with Vessacks. The Grace family were already regular visitors to Cornwall, but Vessacks’s stunning sea views were special. Since then, it’s become a much-loved holiday home for three generations of family, as well as for countless guests – friends, families and couples who have returned time and again to enjoy its spectacular views, relax on the nearby beaches and walk the Cornish coastal paths.
Why they chose this property
Vessacks has some of the very best views in Cornwall. It is directly on the South West Coastal Path with panoramas over the sea from almost every room. At night you can see galaxies, stars, comets, satellites, planets and the moon, as well as passing ships and fishing boats, nocturnal wildlife.
What makes this property unique
Guests repeatedly write about the stunning location, abundant wildlife and many nearby beaches. Vessacks remains a convening point for members of the Grace family and is still family-run. Many of our guests visit year after year; some have been coming since the 1980s.
