Lovely wedding weekend for our daughter.
Everything was what we hoped for, for our daughters small friends & family wedding weekend. Sweet private location for the beautiful fall outside wedding. Wonderful nature setting and rustic beautiful log house.
Loved it here. Definitely would come back again!!
Wonderful get together at the log house!
Carol and I were talking about the best thing about the log house and it had to be the porches! It may seem weird to others but active children the porches were a blessing. With a multitude of things to do, we never got in each others way!
Annual Extended Family Vacation
My extended family (my brother, sister, our spouses and children, as well as our Mom) stayed at the Lake Lodge the week of July 8. In total we were 14 people ranging in ages from 5-62.
The lodge and bunkhouse more than accommodated our large family. We throughly enjoyed the large wrap around screened in porch. Literally everyday was spent on that porch either eating, napping, reading, playing games, dancing, or putting together puzzles. What a great feature-we absolutely loved it!
Although we were looking forward to the sandy beach area for the younger kids to swim in, the water by the beach and around the dock is nearly impossible to be in due to the amount of vegetation growing in and on top of the water. Had it not been for the surprise floating platform quite a distance out on the lake, swimming would have been next to impossible. We did however appreciate and enjoy the use of several kayaks, paddle boards, and the canoe and they were especially helpful in getting out to floating platform through the lily pads.
We were also disappointed to find out upon our arrival that we were unable to rent the pontoon for the week as previously agreed upon due to a battery issue. Which for the avid fishers in our group was a huge let down because they found it difficult to fish from the canoe and nothing was biting at our dock.
Due to the inconvenience, we were given a golf cart to use for the week, and I would highly recommend renting one as it provided hours of entertainment on the numerous groomed trails around the lake and property. During these rides beautiful birch trees and wild flowers as well as lots of wildlife was seen.
Last I’d like to compliment Drew, the awesome caretaker for the Lake Lodge. He was so attentive and responsive to any and every need we had. We’ve rented many cabins over the years, but this is our first encounter with a caretaker. All I can say is he is a huge asset to this rental!
All in all we enjoyed our week at the Lake Lodge and have made a lot more memories to last a lifetime, thanks so much for sharing your place with us!
Three generation annual vacation
The lodge and the lake were well suited to the ten of us ages 5 through 66. We had the privilege of touring the bunkhouse and although we didn't need the space, we recommend it to larger groups. Our favorite part of the lodge was the huge, screened in porch. Grandchildren slept out there every night with the furniture provided, and we enjoyed meals and games on the large table. We appreciated the assortment of kayaks, canoes and paddleboards, and were pleasantly surprised at the variety of other outdoor equipment provided. Drew is an outstanding property manager! We recommend Ladysmith for shopping for supplies and its nice Memorial Park.
3rd year in a row
Except for the rainy week it was still great. Love the paddle boards this year. It is amazing how well the kids did on them.
Love the secluded area. Where kids can be kids and not worry about how loud they are.
Great place I would recommend it to anyone..
