Awesome 5 Bedroom Lake House on Sandy Lake

This is a very large 5 bedroom family home on beautiful and peaceful Sandy Lake. Your family will enjoy the lakeside living including an outdoor kitchen, multiple decks, a sandy beach and dock with Muskoka chairs, a firepit, sunroom, family room, living room and dining table which easily seats 10 people. Multiple sitting and living areas give everyone room to hang out without feeling like you're on top of each other. In addition, a giant basement includes a workout area and a pingpong table in addition to two separate super comfortable lounges/sitting areas. There's a fireplace in the upstairs family room and a woodstove in the downstairs TV lounge area. The master bedroom has an electric fireplace, an ensuite bath with a jetted tub and separate glassed in shower. Two other main floor bedrooms share a bath which has tub and shower. The two downstairs bedrooms share a bath with shower only. There's room for everyone at this special lakeside retreat.

The house kitchen is a true chef's kitchen with walk in pantry and an extremely well equipped spice and appliance collection. The outdoor kitchen includes a Traeger and a large gas BBQ as well a bartop counter for guests to enjoy the cooking activities of the BBQ master.

The house is only a five minute drive to Buckhorn where you'll find Foodland, a bakery and the LCBO. Several excellent restaurants are also in Buckhorn. Sandy Lake is a quiet aquamarine lake which is fantastic for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. The home is fully winterized and is available year round.

We really enjoyed our stay on Sandy Lake. It is a lovely cottage/house with multiple sitting areas. It was very clean, nicely decorated and stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed using the kayaks and fire pit. The stairs and porch might be something to consider if you have small children since stairs a bit steep and the porch is open/no railings on part of it. It was fine for us since we were all adults. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The property is huge and very comfortable for ten people. The only disturbance was that in one of the downstairs bedrooms there was a gurgling sound from the washroom next door every time it was being used and the water ran from the sink, flush or shower.The kitchen was well-equipped. However, would be good to replace the plates - there was one with the edge completely broken off.On the whole, a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the fantastic lake and surrounding view.

I have rented this property for the last 2 summers. Just stunning. Absolutely something for everyone...even in the rain. We had such fun playing ping pong in the xtra large basement. Very spacious. Erin the property owner is lovely to deal with, very accommodating and returns communication promptly. The property is beautifully manicured and well taken care of; an obvious pride of ownership. I highly recommend this property. It will not disappoint!!! Although the lake is awesome for swimming, bring watershoes if you don't like touching bottom, the rocks get a little slimey.

The lake was shallow so could not jump off of the deck. The bottom of the lake was rocky and slippery so could not walk out easily to swim. The rooms for socializing were very nice you could easily find somewhere to have some by yourself time but no room was big enough to fit us all in together. 5 minute walk to the public beach which was really nice. The bedrooms were really nice especially the master. All in all it was one of the nicest places we have rented in the past 5 years.

The property was just as described. It is very large, it accommodated our group of 9 adults with lots of room to spare. You will not be tripping over each other. Everything was clean well stocked and in good working order. The dock is large enough for a small group, not deep enough for jumping or diving but deep enough for docking a boat. Communication with the owner and the property manager was always easy and responsive. My only caution would be that outside, there are some places where tripping and falling could be issues with the elderly or very young. That said our party had one person in their 90s and 3 in their 80s and we easily enjoyed our time there. The lake is large and quite quiet the sandy bottom give a really nice aquamarine colour when the sun is shining. If you are bringing a boat or jetski give the area you will be using a really good once over, the lake is relatively shallow and irregular in depth. Everyone in our party only had good things to say.

This is a beautiful spot! Our family group of 10 had a wonderful weekend here. Lots of room for everyone. The kids loved the ping pong table, and swimming and fishing off the dock. A few also made use of the kayaks. Unfortunately with the fire ban we weren't able to have a fire, but enjoyed sitting around in the Muskoka chairs and talking. The outdoor table and big dinning room table were great for family dinners. The house/kitchen is well stocked.It was a fun weekend.

This is a perfect cottage for a large family. We had three generations sharing and there was plenty of space for everyone. Lovey shallow lake. Kayaks and an awesome fire pit by the water.
