It is a cottage at the top of a mountain, complete with mountain roads and beautiful views no matter which way is taken to get there. The cottage feels bigger than it looks and everything was cozy and nicely done. It was not the height of the season for the area I think, so it was quiet and peaceful. We all enjoyed spending time there between family visits.
Very cozy cabin! Off the beaten path if you’re looking for that get away from all the city noise! Well accommodating. Would highly recommend a stay at this cabin!

Home was very clean and extra treats were left for us to enjoy.
Cottage had a very homey, cozy feel that I enjoyed. Everything was clean when we arrived, and we had all we needed. Our only complaint was that the bed in the main bedroom felt like sleeping on the hardwood floor. It is in desperate need of some more cushion.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re so glad you found the cottage immaculate and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We also appreciate your kind words about our team—we always strive to make sure our guests feel well taken care of.
We noticed your rating was a 6/10, and we’d love to know what we could improve to make your next stay a perfect 10. Your suggestions are very important to us.
It was a beautiful area with a public area for swimming. It was so cozy and comfortable. It was clean and had kitchen items that we needed for comfort. The first time I’ve ever been on top of the world. But we loved it!!!
Our trip began with difficulty, as we were provided with the wrong key code upon arrival. Resolving this issue took approximately an hour, delaying our entry into the cabin.Inside, the cabin was nice and clean, which we appreciated. However, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, the pillows were super thin, prompting my husband and me to sleep together on the couch instead. On our last night, the temperature dropped into the low 40s outside, but neither the mini-split system nor the propane heater provided any heat. By morning, the cabin temperature had fallen to the mid 50s, making for an unpleasantly cold experience. The exterior of the property appeared neglected and abandoned. The screen porch could not be used because the door handle was broken, further limiting our enjoyment of the outdoor space.Additionally, we had no access to the lake during our stay, as the host had not purchased the necessary yearly pass for guests. Lakefront homeowners appear to have an opposition to renters when it comes to lake access.Communication with the host was nonexistent. I am still waiting for responses to three messages regarding check-in, check-out protocol, and the heating situation, all of which remain unanswered.
Home was very clean with the exceptuon of spiders and spider webs on ceilings throughout the home. We were able to vacuum up all spiders and webs with property vacuum. Home could use a few more plates and bowls. Property was listed as if lake access was directly across from lake. Lake access was actually down the road and I had to call home owner to find out how to access lake. Lake was very clean and enjoyable for swimming and paddling. Link for the guide was not accessible. We enjoyed our stay!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback and for choosing our home for your stay!
We’re glad to hear you found the home very clean and enjoyed the lake for swimming and paddling. We do apologize for the inconvenience caused by the spiders and webs and appreciate you taking the time to clear them—we’ve already addressed this with our cleaning team to ensure it’s taken care of for future guests. We’ll also be adding more plates and bowls, as suggested.
Regarding lake access, we’re sorry for any confusion. We’ll update the listing description to make it clearer that the access point is just down the road, and we’ll ensure the guide link is accessible moving forward.
We’re happy to know you still enjoyed your stay and the beautiful lake! We’d love to host you again in the future.
I stayed here one night with my family. Check in process was a breeze and the place was clean and perfect for us. I love the screened porch. The hosts were easy to get in touch with-they immediately responded and answered my questions. The area is very pretty with the lake nearby. It is a very long and windy drive to get there. I recommend trying to get there before dark, if you are not familiar with the area. There were some dirt/gravel/unpaved roads. The GPS did not always work. Highly recommend!

Thank you for the kind review! We’re so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay, especially the screened porch and peaceful surroundings. We appreciate the helpful tip for future guests about arriving before dark, great advice! It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime.
The house was so cute! It was very quiet even with neighbors around and others. We did hear someone playing drums lol. I enjoyed taking a cup of coffee and just sitting in the screened in porch in the mornings, I don’t eat breakfast so that’s my quiet time. There is no cell service if you have Verizon but if you have AT&T you do. I didn’t care that I didn’t have any, I enjoyed it. We didn’t even watch TV. There’s WiFi also available but I didn’t use it either. Overall it’s a very nice place to be to relax and enjoy and just not think about work.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the peace and quiet and that the screened porch gave you that perfect morning moment. Sorry about the surprise drum solo 😊 but thrilled you found it relaxing and unplugged. We'd love to welcome you back anytime!
The cabin was very cute and clean. However there was no wifi and we had no service all weekend. The code tocour door also quit working on Friday nite so we werent able to lock our door and there was no response from the host. Plus we had to wait till we got back to town to communicate because of the wifi not working. Its also pretty far out from town but we did enjoy our stay besides the lack of communication

Thank you for your review and for staying with us. We're glad to hear you found the cabin cute and clean and that you still enjoyed your stay overall. We sincerely apologize for the issues with the door code and lack of communication, your experience is important to us, and we’re looking into this right away to prevent it from happening again. Thank you for bringing it to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again under better circumstances.
Cabin was very cozy, mattress in the room with the larger might need to be upgraded. You can feel the support boards through mattress. I’m not sure if the cabin next to us was also people staying for the weekend or if they own it, but it was very obvious he was recording us for some reason when we first got there, that was off putting. This was my first time coming into the mountains. I wish there would have been a disclaimer somewhere of which road we should avoid. After we got used to the steep inclines and sharp turns going up the mountain we were ok. If you’re someone who has never been into the mountains I would say avoid butterflygap as your first drive up until you get used to it. Overall Lake in the sky is truly a magical place the screened in porch is also super cozy as well.
