About this property

Water Front Cottage In North Frontenac

The Water view Cottage is one of my favourites. It has privacy, a great view, and spacious yard. Just a few steps down a short path and you are on the beach.
This 2 bedroom cottage will sleep 6 people with a queen, 2 singles, and a double futon. It has a sit in kitchen/ sitting area, 3 pc bath, large screen porch and a small deck. The kitchen comes fully equipped with full size fridge and stove, propane BBQ, and fire pit. Bedding is not included in the price of the cabin. Most guest bring their own sheets pillows blankets and towels. There is a $20/ bed charge for Bedding.
Kids want to tent it there is room enough to pitch a tent. (small fee may apply)

Marble Lake
Marble Lake is a great fishing lake. Bring your own boat and moor it to our docks , or for a daily fee rent one of our boat and motors. Boat launch just 800 meters next to the public beach. Marble Lake is know for it's small and large mouth bass fishing, but fishing is good for other species as well.
Marble Lake Lodge has a beautiful, safe sandy beach, and 2 large docks for fishing boats. Cottage rentals include use of canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats, and we have fishing boat/motor rentals available.
We also have various indoor/outdoor games, children's playground, and each cabin is equipped will a TV/DVD player. WIFI is also available for a small fee (no streaming allowed)
Don't feel like cooking grab a bit from our on site licenced restaurant "The Hungry Moose" or grab some supplies from the store. Don't see just ask. We try and keep in stock everything from ice cream, old fashion milk shakes to milk, bacon and eggs. Best pizza in the area.
A short distance into town you will find groceries, mini put , a 9 hole golf coarse, museum, and numerous antique stores. During your stay visit the beautiful Bon Echo Park to visit the famous Mazinaw Rock where you will find native pictographs, hiking trails and visitor centre, just a sort 20 minute drive from your cabin.
Designated as a dark sky zone, where there is little or no light pollution. North Frontenac's dark sky viewing platform is located a 10 minute drive down the road. Bring your telescope or view with naked eye the stars are amazing.

Cosy little cabin definitely comfy.
A great little week's holiday. Connie was most hospitable. Any issues we spoke of she was right on it. Found the peace and tranquility we were looking for. Nice. Would holiday again

Cottage #6
Private litte spot For #6 Except the rocks right outside the door are pretty steep and dangerous for small kids and the busy road just a few steps away. Also lots of pets hair on the futon, no handle on the oven, and the top right ring of the stove didn’t work as well as the bbq handle was broken. Other then that there’s a nice litte beach a few steps away. I could dock my boat and go out no problem.

The Location is worth it
We knew going in the cottage was going to be rough, but it was all we needed, a place to rest our heads and make food! The location was perfect, we were in a private area, and the views were amazing and being on the water listening to then loons was exceptional. The available kayaks were great as well, and the rapids you can paddle too are a lot of fun for kids! Definitely recommend.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property in 2012 after Connie experience 2 plant closures and 2 lay offs. Time to start new adventures.
It took a couple of years looking for a resort that met our needs. This property is 1 hour South of our off grid property, where Dave offers survival camps

What makes this property unique

The people here are amazing. We are far enough from town and the city but still close enough to enjoy what the cities have to offer.
