House was exactly as described, oven and kitchen were very cook friendly! Location is so close to Lake Placid, and Adirondack Mountains, just perfect distance away but close and easy to whatever you would like to do. Host checked with us on day of arrival to make sure we were in and everything was in order. Definitely would stay again.

Great location for what we came for - hiking in the region. Good space and being dog friendly was everything we needed. Having the hot tub after long days of hiking was fantastic. An easy spot to stay with our friend.

... close to intended destinations, but privacy as well. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Just two of us, but both the home and the property/yard offered plenty of room for activities for a larger family at any time of year.

Wonderful property close to skiing. Quiet, clean and everything we needed for a week. Perfect location to unwind away with the family. Best location for skiing

This house was only 4 minutes from skiing at Whiteface. After a day of skiing, it was wonderful to relax in the outdoor hot tub. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked with essentials.

Amazing experience!

The property was absolutely perfect. Communication with property owner was by far the best. I would highly recommend this place for a group of people adults and children. Definitely plan to rent this for future trips.

Fantastic winter getaway

We had a great time staying here! The house was so lovely and we especially enjoyed the hot tub. Great yard area for my dog as well. The yard is not fenced and is right near a road so I would definitely suggest a longline/tie out line for your dogs. Everything was super clean, and we appreciated the high quality cookware/kitchen equipment. Great access for hiking/outdoor activities and a short drive into Lake Placid. Highly recommend!

Clean and easy

Clean rental, easy process, and no extra surprise fees. They do require some work on the back end if you bring pets, but it’s certainly fair since there is no pet fee. Would recommend.

Great job friendly rentals is a perfect location

The house is well situated in the Adirondacks for so many great things to go see. The house was lovely and super clean. The hot tub was a real nice bonus, right outside the kitchen door. One of the most dog friendly rentals we’ve had with no pet fee. The only thing to be aware of is there are two bathrooms, but one is on the first floor, which is a little inconvenient for the two bedrooms.

Girls Weekend!

Just got back from a long weekend stay here. There were 5 women who had a fantastic weekend away. The place was perfect. Location was great.. Close enough to town and to various hikes! Beds were super comfy! Hot tub and sauna were an excellent treat at an end of a day of hiking. Only 'complaint' was not enough mirrors when 5 women were getting ready to go out. lol All and all.. highly recommended!

Beautiful, brand new and very well kept and provisioned.

My family and I (wife, 2 teenaged daughters, adult son and his girlfriend) spent 3 days/nights here. This is a great house to rent for a stay in the ADK'S. Beautifully built and decorated, plenty of space for family time or alone time in different parts of the house. A hot tub, and a sauna! We loved it, and will definitely rent it again for future trips, if it is available. The owner is friendly and helpful: he responded by phone to my inquiries and checked in with us by phone after we arrived. They definitely have a great deal of experience accommodating guests. The kitchen is very user friendly and we'll stocked with the pots/pans and utensils needed, as well as with dishware, silverware and glasses. There are helpful labels and directions all over the place. Anyway, I've stayed in probably 10-15 different places in the region over the years, and this place out classes them all: and for such a great price.

Absolute Perfection

This house was spotless when we arrived and looks just like the photos. It felt like home away from home. It was so roomy and comfortable. Each of the three bedrooms had a very comfortable bed and television. The living area was perfect for hanging out and has a very unique floor (loved it) that was easy to keep clean. The outside offers plenty of room for parking. We were too busy to enjoy the hot tub, sauna and firepit, but definitely make time if you can! The location is close enough to Lake Placid without the traffic, and would be the perfect location for skiing at Whiteface. Judi was super helpful, offering suggestions for local hikes and places to eat as well as letting us know what we may need to bring along for the trip. She also made sure we made it there and that everything was as expected, which was much appreciated. Our group included 3 adults and 3 dogs and all 6 of us really enjoyed our stay! THANK YOU JUDI!!!

Perfect base for exploring

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Chalet! Wilmington was a perfect location to explore from and it was close to both Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and the drive up to Whitehead Mountain (it snowed while we were up there!). We also drove down to Fort Ticondaroga and would highly recommend that as a side trip if you have the time. The house was smallish but efficient, and was exactly as listed/pictured. The beds were comfy and we appreciated the little touches like hand soap, TP, paper towels, and small toiletries that were available as needed. The only thing we found missing in the kitchen was a cookie sheet for nachos. :-) We didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub, sauna, or fire pit during our stay, but our dog loved the large yard and we saw several deer one evening. Communication with Judi before, during, and after our stay was exemplary. We really appreciated that she checked in to make sure arrival went smoothly and that everything was ok. We also appreciated all the information sent before we arrived, including restaurant recommendations. Rudy’s Scar Bar was a surprise hit for us! We loved our time in the Lake Placid area and we would definitely stay at Mountain Chalet again when we return! Thanks to Judi and Aseem for sharing your lovely home with us!
