Our spacious American foursquare style home built in 1903 is the perfect family retreat! Located in quaint Cheriton, we are a quick 8 minute drive to downtown Cape Charles, and a 7 minute drive to the boat ramp in Oyster. It's the perfect location for both the fisherman and the beachgoer! We renovated the kitchen & bathrooms while leaving the original hardwood floors, wooden elements and layout of the house the same to preserve the character of this 118 year old roomy home. On 1.25 acres!

Was looking for a clean, quiet place for our family vacation and this place was wonderful. Woody was very helpful and answered my questions quickly and informatively. The big yard was wonderful for our dog to run around in and did I mention that this place was CLEAN? Nice screened in back porch, fire pit and grill for our use. I will definitely book here again in the future
We had the best first time in Cape Charles! Our house as my 17 year old said was like the house the movie the Notebook! Tucked away on a quiet street and o secluded. House was clean. Hosts were so responsive when we had a quick question. While it wasn’t on the beach it took no time to get to the beach the brewery and the grocery store. We had so much fun. We are looking at coming back next summer and almost 100 percent sure to this house. Might be our new favorite vacation house!

Peaceful area
Overall the stay was good! Not much around the area beside your basic shopping strip which was very convenient. The beach was about a 10 min drive and very nice there, family friendly; not overcrowded and nice shops! The owner communicated effectively and in a timely manner to any questions I asked and was very nice. It is an older home so you shouldn’t go with a mindset that everything will be perfect and modern! Some things could use a bit of work around the home of course and some cleaning. The only things that were not okay for me was upon arrival, the linens for the bedrooms/towels were all on the laundry floor and we had to wash them ourselves. There were 6 of us and they only supplied 1 washcloth which was very upsetting!
