Peaceful Riverside Cabin

Welcome to our tranquil cabin on the Apple River located in Amery, WI. Our little slice of paradise where midcentury modern meets romantic cottage.

It's the perfect 1 hour getaway from the Twin Cities, just 20 minutes from Taylors Falls, and 5 minutes from Amery, where you can unwind, relax, and make yourself at home. Whether you want to read books & play games or explore trails and kayak, the Quinby Cottage provides versatility for all of our guests.

Situated on a large waterfront lot, our warm wooded cabin boasts 3 bedrooms, two light filled living spaces, 2 bathrooms, and a wrap around deck. Outside you will find two dedicated bonfire pits, horseshoe, corn hole, a flat top grill, and a private dock with great fishing & serene views. The garage extension features a game room with a pool table that also turns into a ping pong table. In the winter, enjoy the nearby 18 mile snowmobile Cattail trail or the ample amount of trails for snowshoeing. This very quiet and peaceful community makes it easy to unwind and enjoy a relaxing getaway.

Unfortunately the indoor fireplace does not operate safely and can't be used during this time. We have an electric fireplace in the sunroom.

Fishing:
Please follow all WI DNR rules & regulations if you plan to fish during your stay. Must have a fishing license.

You understand there are potential dangers that swimming and the use of kayaks may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming or using the kayaks if a person has health risks, or if a person swims or uses the kayaks while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. Quiet hours are 11pm-7am as required by the county and the owners. No parties. No drugs on premises. No smoking or vaping inside the home.
No additional guests at the property without permission. No fireworks. Bonfires shall never be unattended and always put out completely once finished.
Do not use the indoor fireplace. No RVs or Campers allowed that are housing additional guests. Please lock doors and windows at night.

Great Amery Getaway

This is a fantastic place, especially for some peace and quiet. Our dog loved running and playing on the expansive, beautiful, and very well maintained grounds. The indoor areas were very cozy, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The location on the river is gorgeous too! Also, the host was absolutely stellar! If we’re back in the area again, we’ll be booking again without hesitation.

Good place, tough on hot days

In the very fine print it stated that there was no AC. I clearly didn’t look super closely, because I wasn’t expecting that on a humid summer day. The fans did fine, but it was toasty. The place was as shown, close to town and had great nearby wineries.

We figured we may as well share it with others in the meantime! I'm a realtor in the Twin Cities and was in hospitality most of my life and my husband is an Ironman who loves anything outdoors. We are avid dog lovers who enjoy relaxing weekends reading, puzzling, or watching movies. We hope you enjoy our place as much as we do!

It's peaceful & quiet - a lot of long term residents live on our street who are very kind. It's just 5 minutes to the cute downtown of Amery or 15 minutes to Taylors Falls or Saint Croix Falls. Stunning views anywhere you go!

The tranquility as well as the quirkiness of a 1950's cottage. Each room is a little bit different but there is a fun and peaceful harmony throughout.
