The house had some real cleanliness issues that should be addressed. There were carpet beetles throughout the property, including on towels and curtains, and the space had a strong musty smell. The refrigerator also wasn’t clean.This didn’t match what we expected based on the listing. I’d recommend confirming the current condition of the home before booking.

I think they confused my property with another. First, the property is over 220 years old, renovated to Code. I have retained historical features such as exposed beams and shallow fireplaces. I use flowers and fresh air to provide a comfortable living atmosphere. There is only one carpet in one room, launder bedding after every guest and allowed their dog to share their quarters. I am on site at all times but here was no communication about any problems despite requesting issues to be reported promptly in order to address them while the guests are there. I would not host them again. I don't believe they read my offering.

Most importantly, Bob is a kind and welcoming host and his property is in a great location Charlottesville. The price is also unmatched, though there could be a few improvements to the guest space. The fridge contained old food, there was no hand soap in one bathroom, and there were no trash bags. Also, there are only two beds, not three (best of my knowledge). If the place becomes more suited to VRBO guest needs, it will become a top spot to stay. Very thankful for Bob's flexibility with coming and going and checkout times as well.
