Relax in Fortuna! Villa with Free Car, AC in Bedrooms, Snorkeling Nearby
Nestled on the peaceful west side of St. Thomas in Estate Fortuna, our charming three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom villa offers the perfect private getaway to relax and recharge away from the bustle of the city. Surrounded by lush natural beauty, our home comfortably sleeps up to six guests, with a king-sized bed in the master bedroom, King Bed in second bedroom and a queen-sized bed in the other guest room. The master suite includes a spacious bathroom with a shower and bathtub for added comfort. Each bedroom is equipped with its own air conditioning unit to ensure a cool and restful stay. Additional amenities include keyless entry, Starlink Wi-Fi, Firesticks on all TVs, on-site laundry, a UV water filtration system, and a fully equipped kitchen—you just need to bring your toothbrush! Linens are provided, including both bath and beach towels.
Because transportation can be limited in this area of the island, a vehicle is highly recommended—and we include one free of charge with your rental. To use the vehicle, guests must provide a valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance. A separate lease agreement—uploaded under House Rules for your review—must be signed. Coordination is required for both pickup and drop-off of the vehicle so that all parties can sign off on the car’s condition at the beginning and end of the stay. A refundable security deposit of $500 must be submitted prior to the release of the vehicle. Guests are also required to provide a photo of a credit card to be kept on file in the event of any damages that exceed the deposit amount. To ensure a full refund, the vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas and in clean condition. If not, a cleaning and/or refueling fee will be deducted from the deposit. This vehicle is as available basis, and the property has the right to refuse the use of this vehicle for any reason.
To add peace of mind, the property is equipped with a backup generator in case of a power outage. A caretaker lives on-site and will assist in operating it if needed. Just a short walk from the house, you’ll find a rocky shoreline that’s perfect for snorkeling. We recommend bringing water shoes to comfortably navigate the rocks—beneath the surface, the underwater landscape is full of beauty and marine life. Photos of nearby Fortuna Bay are available in the listing for your preview.
We’re also conveniently located to many key destinations on the island: 15 minutes from the airport, 12 minutes from Brewer’s Bay Beach, 17 minutes from Pueblo Supermarket, 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte Amalie, 23 minutes from Moe’s Grocery and Yacht Haven, 33 minutes from Magen’s Bay Beach, 38 minutes from Coki Beach and Coral World, and 45 minutes from Red Hook and the ferry terminal to St. John.
Please note that the property owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that may occur on the premises or while using its facilities, nor for the loss of personal belongings or valuables. By accepting this reservation, guests and all members of their party acknowledge and accept all risks associated with their stay and agree to release the property owner from any liability.

My family stayed here for a week-long vacation. the home and car made it feel like our second home! The house was very well stocked with kitchen, linens, and laundry essentials. The location was actually really nice to be out of the business of town and not a far drive at all. The host was very responsive with communication and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay here. Thank you!
Very big home by fortuna beach. A bit far from things on the island but with the car included it's worth it for the size and privacy. Lots of space and very quiet. Get a good breeze through the house, especially at night. Comes with everything you need to have a home base during your vacation. Owners were great and happy to help with anything..
I planned this trip to St.Thomas with my family for my mother’s funeral l. Although a very beautiful home, The house was not cleaned prior to check in. The linen on the bed was dirty and the pillowcases and it still had someone’s hair on it. The pots and pans were rusted, the light switches and high touch areas were covered in dirt and fingerprints. I took the liberty to clean it myself for the time being . Then the bed broke down. I was not pleased and spent way too much money to be in a house like that. Can I get a partial refund. The host is ignoring me.

Hello La-Kama Brady
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We are truly sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your trip, and we understand how important comfort and peace of mind are during such a difficult time.
Regarding the issues you experienced, we want to clarify that every concern you reported was addressed immediately and correctly once it was brought to our attention. Our team responded promptly to resolve each matter, including sending staff to inspect and repair the bed and offering solutions during your stay.
With respect to your request for a partial refund, we do have to follow the refund policy outlined on the booking platform. All refunds must comply with that policy, and we are unable to issue compensation outside of those established guidelines.
That said, we sincerely apologize for the condition of the linens and the pots and pans you found upon arrival. The cleanliness you described does not meet our standards. We are currently reviewing our cleaning procedures with our staff and making the appropriate changes to ensure this does not happen again.
This 3 bedroom home on the western side of the islands is the perfect home base to recharge, have privacy, lots of space and amenities. Chris and Julia really went out of their way to not only provide a wonderful stay, but also went out of their way to assist us when we needed it in both getting around the island, and in being flexible when we had a health emergency (non travel related) come up. You really do need a car to get around the island because taxi cost would be very expensive, and since they provide a car with the rental of the vrbo, getting around was much easier and we were able to see much more than if we tried a taxi or local bus. Lots of space and personal space in the home, AC in the bedrooms, three balconies to enjoy the scenery, full kitchen, and FULL LAUNDRY- you are going to need it with all the sand.... would absolutely book with Chris and Julia again!

An experience
Pros- House is nice and in a good, secluded location.- The man who lives on the property is nice and has a funny looking dog.- Starlink on property provides fast internet.- Hosts were very helpful. Julia provided quick support for the property, and Chris drove out to the property to air up the tires on the SUV when needed.Cons- Listing mentions a gentleman who lives on property," but does not mention that he will know the code to the property and enter it when you leave.- SUV - 2007 Nissan Rogue that doesn't have working airbags and has rusted car seat mounts. - Listing doesn't mention additional car requirements such as needed to perform an extensive full cleaning before drop-off. - Check engine light came on and the host's solution was to clear it by unplugging the battery. - Multiple appliances mentioned in the listing were unable to be used. - Pickup/Dropoff location is out of the way and especially inconvenient upon leaving, as you are stuck between trying to get a taxi (17-20 per person) to come out to the drop-off or paying the host 20 per person to drop you off at the airport.- Driveway is very steep, makes parking a chore.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—we truly appreciate the thoughtful feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the home, the quiet location, fast internet, and the support provided by both Julia and Chris during your stay.
To address a few of your concerns:
• The gentleman on the property is there for maintenance and security and does not enter the home while guests are present. He may access the home after checkout to prepare it for the next guest, which we’ll clarify further in the listing to avoid any confusion.
• The 2007 Nissan Rogue is one of several vehicles we rotate through the property. While it is an older model, it’s well-maintained for island conditions and regularly inspected. We’ll certainly review the items you noted and address anything necessary to ensure safety and comfort.
• Cleaning expectations for the vehicle are simply to run it through a car wash and vacuum out any sand—this is clearly outlined in the lease agreement reviewed and signed prior to vehicle use. It’s a standard request to help us keep the cars clean and ready for the next guest.
• The check engine light was addressed during your stay, and we appreciate your patience. Island vehicles do face unique challenges, and we do our best to respond quickly when issues arise.
• Regarding transportation, we understand the drop-off location can feel out of the way. That’s exactly why we offer a paid airport drop-off service as a convenient alternative to local taxis.
We always value constructive input and use it to improve. Thank you again for your stay, and we wish you all the best on your future adventures!
Unfortunately, the listing is very deceiving.• The listing makes it sound like there is a maintenance man living in a guest house somewhere on property. That is not the case, he lives in the basement essentially of the house & came into the house while we were gone.• Double ovens do not work. We were not aware of this and spent around 100 on food we could not cook.• Only 2 of the 4 burners work on the stove.• Microwave door only opens around halfway due to hitting the wall.• Insecticide in kitchen cabinet.• Guest bathroom shower knob is broken & pops off.•Closets have random stuff/ junk stored in them.• Old, half eaten candy, used candles, soaps, toiletries, medical supplies, & cleaning products sitting around/ in cabinets & drawers.• Master toilet struggles to flush.• Jacuzzi tub doesn't work.• Master bathroom sink leaks all over the counter.• Master bathroom outlet is behind the mirror, so to use it you have to move the mirror from the wall.• Icemaker in refrigerator doesn't work.• Used food in the refrigerator.• The house is hot, with very little circulation.• Ceiling fan in smaller room does not work.• Laundry room floor covered in water.• Laundry room has strong mothball odor.• Random holes throughout & drywall sitting around.• Master bedroom door drags making it difficult to open & close.• Doors sweat when using a/c in rooms.• Overall the house was dirty.• The car is old & dirty with the check engine light on. Rips in the seats & carpet, stains.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear parts of your stay didn’t meet expectations. The home is built in traditional Caribbean style, with a separate lower-level apartment where our maintenance person resides—common in St. Thomas and does not affect the guest space.
The oven part has been ordered, and a large countertop oven was available during your stay. A new large AC unit has also been purchased and is currently being installed to improve airflow, in addition to the AC units in each bedroom.
We want to note that these concerns were only shared after checkout. Had we been informed during your stay, many of the items—including the AC installation—could have been handled immediately. We always encourage guests to reach out during their visit so we can assist in real time.
Since your departure, all items have been addressed—plumbing, fixtures, stove, cleaning, and more. A full deep clean and decluttering have also been completed.
The SUV is an older model, included at no extra charge and maintained for safe use. We regret if its condition affected your experience.
We appreciate your input and are committed to continued improvements for future guests.
