Classically Charming, Quiet Lakeside Cabin less than 2 hours from the Cities
Lakeside cabin on a great lake and situated on a large, private lot. Surrounded by nature, it’s a serene getaway. Enjoy the screened-in porch, deck, high-speed wifi, gas fireplace and fully stocked amenities. Pet friendly. On snowmobile trail and close to 700 miles of ATV trails, and Kathio Mille Lacs State Park. Surrounded by knotty pine throughout the large shared spaces, it's authentic cabin experience and great for entertaining. Located between two large lakes great for recreation and fishing. High speed wifi. The bedrooms are quaint, but both offer queens beds. The large, southern-facing lakeside room (27' x 12') serves as a family space during the day and can double as a bunk house at night, with bunked twin over queen bed.
The main area is an open format space- with kitchen and island, dining, and living room seating area.
The master bedroom is 15' x 8' and has a queen sized bed. The second bedroom is 9.5' x 7.5' and has a queen sized bed.
There are additionally 2 pull-out sleeper sofas (one double in the lakeside room, 1 twin loveseat in the living room.
The property is .66 acres, with large grassy lawn. The cabin and lawn are flat access to the lake and dock with no stairs to deal with.
The 3-season porch is a fantastic place to enjoy morning coffee or evening cards in bug-free peace. The deck include a gas-powered grill (propane included).
We are located on the north end of the lake, which is native habitat to wild rice and aquatic nursery so while we do our best to clear the space around the dock for recreation, the cattails and lily pads to the channel are part of the scenery. The dock is great for launching boats, canoes or kayaks, or paddle boarding.
Lake Sullivan itself is large and deep at 1,100 acres with a max depth of 57 feet. We are near the channel which connects to Platte Lake, offering another 1,600 acres and max depth of 23 feet. Between the two, there is great fishing of Walleye, Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, Sunfish and Perch.
We have life jackets also ranging from toddler to XXXL adult. In the winter the our bay is a popular ice fishing locale and a snowmobile trail runs past the cabin, expanding to 700 miles of trails in Crow Wing County.

Lisa and husband were a joy to host- conscientious, great communicators, and treated the cabin like their own. Would absolutely rent to again and highly recommend as guests.
We had a very enjoyable 4-night stay — wish we had more time! The cabin was perfect — clean and comfortable. The soaps & shampoo were exceptional and the bed comfy. We brought our own boat & having a lake map available was a huge plus when fishing (& that’s what we like to do best when on a lake!). Would definitely stay there again in the future. Thank you Christy & Corey!!!

Thanks Marilee and glad you appreciated small details- I think it makes all the difference. We would love to have you back! Marilee and family were wonderful guests and highly recommend.
The place was well kept and cleaned. Very nice and cozy area to get away from the city. They were so nice to set out some s’mores treats for the family. A small gesture that was greatly appreciated. Love that you get a nice view of the lake out back. Love everything about the place.
We had a wonderful three-night stay at this cozy cabin in Hillman. It was the perfect distance from the Cities—close enough for an easy drive, but far enough to feel like a true getaway. The cabin was well-appointed with everything we needed. We spent our time relaxing, grilling, and even caught a couple of fish right off the dock. One evening by the fire was a highlight. We also ventured into Brainerd one afternoon for a delicious lunch at Chick N Rice (highly recommend!) and had a great time playing mini golf. Overall, this was such a relaxing and fun trip, and we’d definitely stay here again!
We would need a novel to describe how amazing the experience was with this cabin. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and thought about every detail needed for a lake stay from the scenic fire pit to the coffee/tea nook. The location was perfect on the lake with solid dock fishing and was serene and quiet. We had plenty of space and every kitchen utensil needed to have meals. The decor was well thought out and made the place feel like home and cozy. The screen porch was also a great atmosphere for games and meals.

Kyle and family were absolutely dream guests- thoughtful, kind, and great communicators. They stayed with us for 3 weeks and we had no concerns once we began communicating with them. A delightful family.
We enjoyed 4 nights in this quaint little cabin. It was perfect for our family of 5. The cabin was well stocked with everything you would need, especially the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the hosts were easy to contact if needed. We loved having the boat to use for a couple days. It fit our family of 5 just right. We enjoyed fishing, tubing and skiing. The screened in porch was used a lot for meals or playing games to protect us from the MN bugs. We would highly recommend this cabin and location and would definitely make a return trip in the future.

We enjoy most things outdoors- camping, hiking, trails, and boating. We have 3 kids and recently bought this cabin to enjoy with the family. We love the cabin and want others to enjoy it when we can’t!
Why they chose this property
The land is peaceful and quiet, off of a popular recreational and fishing lake. There’s always some fun wildlife to witness, trails to try (snowmobiling and 4wheel trails within 5 miles), and Kathio Mille Lacs state park is 15 minutes away.

We offer a 20' speedboat is available for rent. (2003 Bayliner, 230 hp inboard/outboard). It comfortably fits 6 adults, technical capacity is 8 people or 1300 lbs. As it was made prior to fuel injection, starting the ignition may take a little priming. This is reflected in the $200/day discounted rate. It's a little older but runs well and offers a mean tube, ski, or wakeboard ride (all included). We have water inflatables and life jackets also ranging from toddler to XXXL adult.
