Chenango Lake Guest House

Enjoy the peace and serenity of this private lake house across the road from the main house. It is part of the property on HomeAway.com listing number 4113964. It has been fully renovated and restored with hardwood floors, granite countertops and an open floor plan to the kitchen. There is lake access to enjoy swimming, fishing, three kayaks, a canoe, a sailboat and a stand up paddle board. Games such as corn hole, can jam, croquet, bocci, chess, badminton and volleyball are supplied. Enjoy a three mile walk around the lake or challenge yourself to a fitness trail (parcourse) consisting of several exercise stations. There is a gas grill on the deck along with a full functioning kitchen. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom, full size bed in the loft and a queen size pull out sofa in the family room.

This is a seasonal property. The water is turned off and the property is not available from 10/23/23- 5/1/24

Great Get Away!

What a cute cozy cottage. We were greeted with a pumpkin bread on the table when we arrived. Peter the owner was good about leaving us messages and directions on VRBO. The lake is so calm and private, we will definitely be back next summer!

Lakeside Bliss

This cabin on lakeside estate is pure bliss! Secluded property with lakeside access feels like Adirondacks in central New York. Hosts Pete and Marie couldn't be better! I've stayed here many times and this place does not disappoint.

Adorable Lake Cottage

My son, friend, and I had such a wonderful time at this little cute, clean cottage on a beautiful and quiet lake. Peter was such a welcoming host and even found and sent back my son’s forgotten Nintendo before he realized it was missing! We would absolutely return again.

Wow! Grew up in Norwich, haven’t been home in seven years and this sweet cottage on Chenango Lake was the perfect spot for family and friends to meet up. We were in town for the Blues Fest fabulous time their, music was Fire!

This house was the cleanest rental I have stayed in. The house had everything that we needed including bug spray. We arrived late and were worried about getting breakfast but the host left homemade bread and chex mix for us. I would definitely stay agian.

Peaceful Getaway

My sister and I were in town for a family wedding. Cottage had everything we needed. Very clean. Weather was very hot so only complaint would be that the a/c in master bedroom was a little tricky. Very peaceful and serene.

Unfortunately the knobs to the AC happened to break just before guests arrived and there was record breaking heat and humidity. The AC unit has since been replaced.

Charming Retreat!

Wonderful lake house in Central New York. Everything felt both brand new *and* comfortable. Photos do not do it justice! From morning birdsong to evening fireflies, this stay was a joy. As if the pancake mix, maple syrup and bagels waiting for us in the kitchen weren’t enough, our hosts brought a loaf of homemade banana-cocoanut bread! Thanks, Pete, for helping turn a work relocation into a vacation!!

The Best Visit

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Norwich. It was wonderful to have a peaceful place for my family to come to us. I've lived out of state for over 20 years and this was the best decision for my husband and I to have our own sacred space while we were home for the week. I didn't feel as though I was in Norwich. Amazing home near Unadilla MX

My son asked me to watch him race at Unadilla MX. Since I lived a distance from there that would have meant a hotel (way to far from the track) or sleeping in a tent (not going to happen at my age). But I was so fortunate to find this lovely home that my younger son and I stayed at. Everything was so amazing. Walked in to this lake cottage and found coffee and muffins waiting for me which on my rush to the track the next morning was so appreciated. After the first day at the track watching my oldest son in the rain it was so enjoyable to drive 15 min and be back in my lake house where a very warm shower and even more comfortable bed welcomed me. My youngest son who slept in the loft also welcomed the space the two of us had and the comfort of this amazing home. I can not thank Peter enough for the communication, answering all my question including the silly ones of where to get pizza for the boys at the track. The only fault I will give this home which in NO WAY has any reflection on the home and how amazing it was is that Verizon cell phones do not work well in that area. But the Wifi was amazing so texts came in just fine and they kids could text me at anytime. I was able to make calls fine across the street near the lake. So as long as you are not connected to your phone 24/7 again it is just perfect, relaxing, beautiful, and the perfect parents get away close to Unadilla MX. Thank you Peter for letting me stay there and enjoy a race weekend.

Beautiful property in a wonderful region, great hosts

I loved my stay at the cottage - the cottage is clean, lovely, and comfortable with wonderful beach house decor. I spent most of my time there outdoors, including traveling around the region. The cottage is on a wonderful property with great woods and gardens, nice hiking onsite and at the very nearby Whaupaucaunau State Forest which has extensive, beautiful trails and a gorgeous small lake (Jeffrey Pond).
