FIREFLIES !!!! Summer spectacles. RELAXING hillside setting next to our vineyard with 1 bedroom, full kitchen, patio with bistro table/chairs, electric outdoor grill. Outdoor firepot for watching sunsets. Stroll through the vineyard with a glimpse, of the Mississippi River from 1.5 miles inland. Awaken to the call of the sand hill cranes in the valley floor.. In the evening be serenaded by the sounds of the frogs. From the living room and bedroom observe bluebirds, finches, orioles, robins and other birds in their daily routines. Only 7 miles south of La Crosse, WI dining, shopping, bicycle trails, and hiking trails. Located in Vernon County where many nature activities are available.

It a beautiful getaway with lots of things to do. Close to La Cross for dinner plans and lots of outdoor activities near by. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back soon.

Stayed for 2 nights. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Had a fun time in Stoddard. I would recommend this property for a stay if you are in the area.

Absolutely beautiful location. Super quiet and peaceful. The Cottage was extremely clean and well taken care of. There were a few surprise personal touches by the host that shows he takes pride in being a host. I don't have a single complaint and would recommend the Cottage to everyone. We were looking for a peaceful quiet place to relax and this fit the bill perfectly.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and couldn't be happier that we did! Its so peaceful and quiet it makes relaxing a breeze! The host is amazing as usual and we will more than likely be back next year. It is the perfect little get away for us. It is clean and the property is beautiful, even if the deer are getting more grapes than they should! The kitchen has all the utensils, plates, bowls, glasses needed for the 2 of us. There was coffee available for us as well. We are not fire pit people, but there is a place outside to have a fire with firewood provided. There are comfy chairs outside to just sit and enjoy the view.

Greg is a great host. We were able to chat with him during our stay. My hubby got a mini tour of the grapevines and we got a great recommendation for Branches vineyard. The home is spotless and we were greeted with fresh homemade bread and homemade wine. It is a perfect getaway for two. We appreciated the Keurig and coffee! The views are beautiful the surroundings are serene and make for a great getaway. We enjoyed wandering through the backroads and taking in the scenery in the hills and valleys. So many small towns within 30 minutes from the home. We would definitely stay again.

We’ve stayed here a number of times, and always enjoy the property and proximity to the area attractions. Greg (host) is very friendly and responsive, and the always-added touch of fresh baked bread and wine is a lovely bonus! We’ll continue to stay here in the future.

And sand-hill cranes that nest in valley floor.
