Important Notes for Your Stay
Mountain Roads & STEEP Driveway:
Like most mountain homes, access includes winding roads and a STEEP driveway.
There is flat parking available at the base if preferred—most front-wheel drive vehicles do fine.
For winter months, 4WD or chains are recommended.
Cell Service & Wi-Fi:
Spotty cell signal (especially AT&T) is common this close to the National Park.
Strong Wi-Fi available for streaming and messaging.
Bear Country Precautions:
Lock car doors and never leave food outside
Observe bears from a safe distance—yes, they really do visit often!
Trip Insurance Recommended:
Due to our mountain setting, we recommend purchasing trip insurance. We cannot offer weather-related refunds.
Other things to note
Other Things to Know (Before You Pack Your Bags)
1.) Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in is at 4 PM
Check-out is at 10 AM (we promise it comes too soon)
2.) TV & Streaming
Enjoy Spectrum cable channels + smart TVs to stream your favorites.
3.) Cell Service & Wi-Fi
AT&T users, heads up: cell signal is spotty inside the cabin (we're tucked right by the National Park).
But don’t worry—Wi-Fi is fast and strong for texting, streaming, and staying connected.
4.) Hot Tub Prep
Professionally cleaned before and after every guest.
In extreme cold, the water will cool ~5°F per hour if left uncovered. Keep the lid on when not in use to stay cozy!
5.) Mobility Notes
About 20 steps to the front door. Once inside, layout is easy to navigate.
6.) No Smoking or Vaping Inside
We want everyone to enjoy a clean, fresh mountain retreat.
7.) Nature Lives Here Too
This is a mountain cabin surrounded by trees—expect a few uninvited guests: bugs, leaves, pollen, and the occasional spider or mouse looking for warmth in winter.
Outdoor cushions may be damp after rain, and leaves or pollen may settle on the deck.
Our home is professionally cleaned and regularly treated for pests, but nature has a way of reminding us we’re in her backyard.
8.) Mountain Driving & Winter Weather
Roads are paved and plowed, but winter storms may affect driving.
4WD or chains recommended in snowy conditions.
We highly recommend trip insurance to protect against weather-related cancellations or road closures.
9.) Steep Driveway Alert
Most vehicles can handle it just fine.
If snow or frost is expected, or if you prefer not to drive up, feel free to park on the flat area at the base of the driveway and walk up.
10.) Damage Protection
A $40 “management fee” covers $1500 in damage protection (instead of a large cash deposit). Details are in the rental agreement.
11.) Bear Country Guidelines
Bears are strong, smart, and have a sense of smell 7x better than a bloodhound.
LOCK your car doors.
Do not leave food or trash outside unattended—it’s basically a dinner bell.
Enjoy bear sightings from a safe distance. No selfies, please .
12.) Rental Agreement
Considered electronically accepted once you confirm your reservation. No signature needed—just bring your sense of adventure.
