A lovely space, SO close to a lot of stuff, and the host was very accommodating. If I could offer a couple of friendly suggestions: the glass doors at the entrance are not very private and would benefit from more opaque curtains. Also, using an Alexa for the lights and thermostat was cumbersome (though admittedly that may have been partially due to our inexperience with using an Alexa).
Very clean, secluded with security gate to property. Beautiful landscaping. Shares 2 outdoor bathrooms and laundry with small dome vrbo rentals. Owners were responsive and kind. We are older people and I should have read the description better but would tecommend the property for anyone. It is a tucked away paradise.
Everything was very nice and well taken care of. It was a little confusing to me which areas belonged to the private owners, which areas were shared with other guests, and which were private. But everything we wanted was readily available. I loved the massage chair. And the deck/sauna/hot tub were excellent!
By far the best New Years Eve! Secluded area with hot tub… Nice Tv entertainment set up. & the massage chair was a nice touch.

Hi TC, thanks a lot for your good review at the first day of 2025. This is also our first good review for the new year. Everything is a new start here. We are glad to have you as our guests at New year's Eve, and gave you a pleasure stay to celebrate the new year. Welcome back anytime.
The property was lovely! So many great amenities with the hot tub, sauna and beautiful deck. The suite was nice too. The kitchen was minimally stocked (some of the cookware wasn't compatible with the cooktop and only one pan could be used) and the pull out couch was truly terrible as a bed. We were grateful we had packed an air mattress just in case. Otherwise, a lovely stay! We would certainly recommend it.
Everything was as stated, quick responses, clean, quiet and you can see where they're currently in the process of making more amenities for guest in the future.
I'm not sure if I met the host or not. The amenities were a little misleading. We didn't know that there were going to be other people on the property with us using the facilities. The kitchen in the indoor space was extremely limited and the pans did not work on the induction stove. Additionally, there didn't appear to be a useable mattress for the "fold out" bed. Making one person in our party have to sleep on the couch instead of the foldout. The property is beautiful, we made it work. I would highly recommend the host is much more clear on the potential of other guests being present and the size of the kitchen space/utility of it.

Thank you, Kyle, for your stay and feedback. We actually saw your group in the front yard that day — we live upstairs, so you may not have realized which one of us was the host.
As mentioned in the listing, the hot tub, sauna, outdoor kitchen, and game room are shared facilities, while each unit has its own private indoor space. We double-checked the indoor kitchen after your stay — the pans do work properly on the induction stove, but it’s possible that using the microwave and stove at the same time caused a temporary power trip.
Regarding the fold-out bed, the mattress is stored in the small storage room next to the kitchen, which is also mentioned in the listing and labeled on the door.
We really appreciate your feedback and hope this clarifies everything. If you have any questions or need anything during a future stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly — that’s always the easiest way to get things resolved quickly.
Thank you again for staying with us, and we wish you all the best on your future travels.

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
It was very unclean I had to leave on the first day.The bathroom had pink mold in the bathtub/shower and in the sink, clearly never been cleaned properly. The rags were very smelly. The sponge to wash the dishes was dirty and old, fell apart as soon as you touch it.The bedrooms were ok but could have been cleaner. The door to the upstairs wasn't locked which was a bit weird. The table and chairs outside was full of dust, likely also never been wiped.I think the biggest disappointment is that even tho it says "entire home" you're actually only getting a small basement sharing the house with 2 other families (one at ground level and one upstairs). In addition, I don't even know why it's called 3D forest retreat when those 3D domes have nothing to do with you at all. Actually, those 3 entire domes are also rented out for people to stay in which means you're actually sharing the rental with up to 5 other groups...The washer dryer had a ton of dirty clothes there likely from the other tenants...Altogether don't expect any retreat tbh, maybe if you're trying to get something fast and cheap but don't expect something very nice. In our cases it wasn't cheap and was definitely not worth it and we had to leave early.

Dear guest, thank you for your feedback. I’d like to clarify several misunderstandings for the sake of future travelers who may read this:
1️⃣ Cleanliness:
Our cleaning team always cleans thoroughly before each check-in. The pink mark on the sink is not mold — it’s a permanent stain left by previous guests that cannot be removed even after multiple deep-clean attempts. The rags and sponges are replaced regularly, but if you found anything unsatisfactory, I wish you had contacted me immediately — I would have provided replacements or issued a refund right away.
2️⃣ Private space:
This listing is clearly stated as the entire basement suite with a private entrance. The door near the massage chair can be opened so that guests may access their own laundry room and game room — this is fully described in the listing. You can also lock the door inside the room for sure. It does not mean you were sharing living areas.
3️⃣ Laundry misunderstanding:
The outdoor kitchen laundry area is shared by guests staying in the three domes, which are separate accommodations on the same property. It’s normal that you saw other guests’ laundry there. The Garden Suite itself has its own laundry facilities upstairs that you could have used.
4️⃣ Outdoor furniture:
The outdoor chairs and tables are indeed outside, surrounded by trees. During Seattle’s fall season, leaves and dust accumulate quickly even after cleaning — this is natural for an outdoor forest environment.
5️⃣ About “entire home” and 3D Forest Retreat:
The name “3D Forest Retreat” is our company name — 3D Forest Retreat LLC — which operates all units (Garden Suite and domes). The domes are newly built and have no effect on the privacy of your suite. Your listing is specifically titled “3D Forest Garden Suite,” as shown clearly on the booking page.
6️⃣ Early arrival:
Check-in time is after 4:00 PM, but you arrived around 2:00 PM and entered the wrong door. Even so, I welcomed you kindly without complaint.
7️⃣ Communication:
If you had reached out to express your concerns, I would have responded right away and happily offered a refund if you chose not to stay. Leaving without a word and later posting a review filled with misunderstandings is very unfortunate.
I always strive to provide a clean, peaceful, and transparent stay for every guest, and I sincerely hope your future travels bring better experiences and communication.
