Spacious two story penthouse just a half block from the beach. Walk out your door to South Beach's outdoor gym, volleyball courts, famous neon buildings, fantastic restaurants and exciting nightlife.
Upstairs there are two master suites, each with queen size beds, flat screen TV's with Roku for Netflix, work desks, and their own bathrooms with a beautiful Travertine shower in one and a bath tub shower in the other. Step out from the bedrooms onto the private ocean view balcony overlooking Mango's Tropical Cafe, the Muscle Beach outdoor gym and Ocean Drive. Perfect for entertainment!
Full kitchen with oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, and everything you need for a perfect stay.
The penthouse does not have a washer and dryer.
Check in easily with door code provided.
There is a doorbell camera on the outside of the front door for security.

This was my first trip to South Beach and we couldn't have picked a better condo. We were able to walk everywhere. The building is dated but aren't all the buildings and isn't that the point of South Beach! The condo was clean and had updated fixtures. The description and pictures are accurate. The host was responsive when we needed additional towels.

Perfect location! Our host was great and always available to answer any questions we had. The house was perfect for 6 adults and very clean. The balcony was a huge bonus. We were out there often. We were amazed that the host supplied paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher pods, towels, beach towels etc. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed. Also had a full closet of beach chairs, a cooler, volleyball.... I love that the host allows guests to leave things behind they couldn't use like sunscreen, spices, coffee..... This house truly has everything! We looked forward to staying again.

Perfect location, helpful hosts!

Stayed here with 8 girlfriends for a bachelorette party, it fit us all perfectly! We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go from the unit, it was really in a great location. Unfortunately we were unable to use the balcony but the hosts graciously offered some money back for the inconvenience and offered to let us use the roof instead. Definitely recommend! We had a great weekend.

My four friends and I stayed here for 4 days and it was absolutely perfect! First, the host was so kind, not only did she let us have an early check-in, but she let my one friend who had a later flight stay even later past checkout, which was so incredibly thoughtful. Those two things alone were extremely kind. The location is perfect if you are looking to spend most of your time on South Beach and by Ocean Drive. It is literally a two minute walk, which is so convenient. The house was stocked with beach towels, shower towels, beach, chairs, and umbrellas. The house was clean and tidy when we got there. I loved that the two rooms upstairs had their own private bathroom and shower included. We had no noise issues with neighbors. Everything worked perfectly and I honestly could not have picked a better apartment for my bachelorette trip. If you were thinking of staying at this location… Don’t hesitate, just do it! You won’t regret it I promise!

Location was perfect and lovely sea views from terrace. Interior was a little tired and facilities lacking. No hanging space for clothes as all cupboards locked. Shower not working in one of bedrooms. If staying for more than a couple of days you would struggle. Despite this still had a great time.

Great location

Walk-to location with plenty to do without a car. Cafes, restaurants, the beach all a couple of blocks away. Parking was sometimes very difficult and usually pricy (this was during spring break, which lasts a couple of months). Stay was fine except the photos aren’t all accurate (balcony views are from the place next door; there is a bunk bed in the dining room). Beds are comfortable. If planning to work remotely there is no place to work at a desk (balcony hightop shown is actually next door, and dining room table chairs are too low and soft to work at table comfortably. However, most don’t come to South Beach to work!

Bed bugs ate us up

Do not stay here until the place becomes bug free. My poor wife is still covered from head to toe with bed bug bites, which required medical attention and caused extensive discomfort. We did communicate this to landlord. No refund, apology, or sympathy offered. Renter beware.

Great stay!

This is a great location to access South Beach nightlife, the beach, and just around the corner from a bus stop. It was nice to enjoy what the area had to offer and walk back rather than take an Uber throughout the day. We spent 3 nights here before heading to the Keys for a week. We enjoyed sitting on the patio area overlooking the street below. We could see the ocean from there too! I gave a 4 star for location/neighborhood only because things got a little crazier after dark. Us old folks (3 couples in our 50s) watched things come to life from above. We are also from a rural area, so we aren’t used to the hustle and bustle of a city. That’s more on us and not the unit. We ran into the owners the one day as they were working on another one of their properties. Very nice people!

Girls Trip

We were a bit disappointed about the patio area since that was the selling point for us in choosing where we stayed in Miami, it was under construction but we were not told prior to our check in. The patio was completely empty so we could not use at all, also one of the bathrooms had just finished being remodeled (which was nice) the day we checked in and they did not clean up very well as my cousin stepped on a piece of glass coming out of the shower and cut her foot (small cut). Also please bring your own iron as the one there stained our dress, and make sure to only use one hair dryer at a time when using both bathrooms we were not informed prior and had to call Kathia which she quickly answered and told us where the breaker box was so that was a quick fix. Other than these issues it was a GREAT location in South Beach. Thank you Kathia

We were not able to checkin right away although we had previously asked if we could check in earlier due to our flight arriving at 11:30a.m. We had to sit around with our luggage (he did offer a place to store down the street but they were full) until the cleaners were done. The towels smelled like they had not been washed and there were previous guests’ hair on them. The sheets in two beds were not clean, there was blood and other human liquids on them. The fridge would not stay closed unless you pushed the bottom in with your foot. One of the balcony doors was covered with plywood due to a previous guest breaking the glass. We had no water for a few hours three days in a row which we were not communicated to about except 1x. Other than those issues the communication was good, Jason was apologetic. The location is great. The balcony is super for people watching. We felt safe with our group of 6 woman.

Skylark Condo - Miami Beach

The location of the condo was great. We were one block off Ocean Drive, so the location made it really easy to walk to the beach and enjoy all of the restaurants, clubs nearby. Very convenient. The bedrooms were a nice size, beds and pillows were comfortable, and the bathrooms were relatively nice, too. I appreciated all of the beach items - beach chairs, umbrellas, and wagon. We had an issue with the TVs, and reached out to the owners who were quick to respond. We weren't able to figure out the TV's but that was OK as it was our last night. Overall, however, the condo needs some TLC. The first impression of the Skylark condo entrance was super disappointing; it looks like it's been neglected for some time - felt a bit dirty. The refrigerator leaked a bit, we used paper towels to absorb the water that was gathering on the middle and bottom shelves of the refrigerator. We ate out for our meals, bought just a hand-full of items (cookies, peanut butter, jelly, loaf of bread, beer, fruit, and chips). The majority of the items were refrigerated, but we ended up having to deal with roaches on our 4th and final night. We found a can Raid under the cabinet sink, it really sucked and grossed me out that we had to deal with this on our vacation. And because of the items mentioned, I'm unable to recommend this listing.

We really love South Beach. There's nothing else like it. The water is warm and clean, the sand is soft, and the beach is beautiful. We enjoy bicycling up and down the boardwalk and discovering new restaurants every time we go out. There's always something new. People everywhere, new restaurants, new stores, big events, it's just electric.
It's fun and relaxing to have everything in bicycle or walking distance.

Why they chose this property

This is a very special find in South Beach. It is very large. It's like living in a house, but you're just steps away from the beach. I enjoy working from the Master Bedroom desk where I can look out at the people playing on the beach. Then when I feel like it, I'll just walk downstairs and across the street and I'm on the beach. Go for a swim, maybe work out at the gym, and walk home to take a nice shower and change. Relax on the couch and watch TV. Get the family together at the large dining room table and eat some fresh fish and stone crab. When we don't want to cook we go for a walk and eat at some of our favorite places like Otentic for amazing French cuisine, Lobster Grill for fresh oysters and lobster rolls, Angler's for a neat vibe and tapas style food, Babylon for Turkish, Safron Mediterranean for low cost great lamb shish kabobs, Moshi Moshi for sushi, or Puerto Sagua for a colada (espresso) and their excellent Cuban lunches, all within just a few blocks of the condo. If you want a great deal head over to Bodega up by Lincoln Mall between 6-8pm for $2 tacos, then cross over to Lincoln Mall and watch a movie. Walk up Collins and over to Española Way and play pool at Lost Weekend or keep walking and enjoy tapas and flamenco at Tapas y Tintos or excellent seafood pasta at Hosteria Romana. The last time we walked home from dinner we ran into Floyd Mayweather coming out of Mango's Cafe across the street. Throughout the year there are big events in South Beach and they are all right in front of our condo. Whether its hanging out with Sports Illustrated swimsuit models, watching Miami models play volleyball, tasting meals from celebrity chefs, enjoying live concerts on the beach, or watching fireworks for the 4th of July and New Years, practically every major event to come to Miami is right at your doorstep.

What makes this property unique

The size and location of this penthouse make it a very special place. The location is incomparable. You can't get more in the center of South Beach. Everything is right at your doorstep. Head to the beach, go for a swim, wander the boardwalk along and come right back to a comfortable home.
This is a large home. Perfect for a family or a group of friends. Each of the two master suites has its own large bathroom and walk-in closet. They even have desks and Gigabit WiFi so you could spend a week working on the beach.
The balcony is awesome. There's enough room for a dozen people to hang out and enjoy the ocean view or watch the people below. The new Travertine stones feel great underfoot and keep it cool and luxurious in the Summer. You can lounge on the benches or take advantage of the bar height table that lets you enjoy a drink while watching the waves crash at the beach.
The first floor gives you the feel of a complete home.
The living room has a sofa bed that opens to a queen size bed. There are also two twin size designer daybeds that have cushions to make them sofas during the day.
The dining room has a great new table with seating for 4.
The kitchen is also large and open with a full size refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and more.
There's a even a third bathroom downstairs. It's a great layout.
It is a large, ocean view house, with Internet, large bedrooms, and everything you'd need to be comfortable for as long as you need. And it's dead center in the heart of South Beach. The ideal getaway!
