Muskoka, Big Chute - your sunny cottage destination
Welcome to your relaxing getaway cottage! This older yet cozy cottage will leave you feeling at home the moment you arrive. The environment and nature will enchant you. Located 180 km from Toronto, it is a quick escape to nature from the city. It’s perfect for small groups or families & not conducive to parties or loud gatherings. We respect the quiet and privacy of our neighbours. THE PROPERTY: A relaxing getaway, the cottage has a SW exposure which means, you enjoy the sun all day. To cool-off, the property has a beautiful 140ft waterfront with two docks to jump off or a sandy corner to dip your toes. This beachy corner is great for small kids that want to splash around & play. The quiet channel is great for swimming since there is limited boat traffic. The channel has access to the Trent Severn waterway as well as a direct connection to Six Mile Lake. The property is quite level and has a bungalow layout. This makes it easy for people with limited mobility to access the cottage as there is only a few steps to get in and out. It also has a beautiful sunroom with a view to the lake, so you can curl up with a nice book or glass of wine. In the evenings, light a fire by the lake, marvel at the clear, starry sky & the still, almost glass like, reflection of the stars on the lake. It’s truly a sight! The cottage is clean, cozy, & well-kept. There are many fun outdoor activities like hiking trails, parks, restaurants, fishing, etc. There are many cute towns to explore plus the best ice cream in the world – Kawarthas! The closest town for shopping & groceries is Coldwater, which is a 20 min drive. INSIDE THE COTTAGE: The cottage has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The kitchen has all the basic necessities for your stay. We do not offer WiFi (We’re old school) but the area has decent cellphone reception if needed. Bedroom Layouts: Master – 2 Twins or 1 King B1 – 1 Queen B2 – Kids Bunk Bed
No smoking or pets allowed. We hope to see you this summer.

Waterfront is perfect. Safe for young kids. Huge beautiful property. Much of the inside is dated but you’re at the cottage…enjoy!

Thank you Daniel for choosing us, was nice to meet you and your beautiful family. We will be happy to host again.
Cottage is about natural, simplicity and adaptability for all. Enjoy the rest of the summer. Kind regards
Our family of 4 stayed here for a few nights in August 2025 and we loved this place. The cottage has been well maintained by owners, and we felt like it was a warm and welcoming space for the family. Plenty of space inside and out to relax and enjoy the beautiful views across the lake. Nice little sandy area the kids loved playing in. We would easily book this again.
Yvonne and Ernesto were great hosts and welcomed us personally. The cottage is vintage 1970s but nice and well kept. There is a great Muskoka room out front. The house was well supplied and there were 2 kayaks and a paddle boat to use. The absolute best part of this place is the waterfront. Sun all day and beautiful sunsets. It is on a picturesque finger of the Trent Severn system, about a 5 minute ride from the big chute marine railway. Miles and miles of fantastic boating. If you have a boat this is a great place to rent! The swimming and kayaking and paddle boarding is wonderful as well. We had a fantastic time and plan to rent again!

Our gratitude for your visit and care.
Great place for a week of relaxation. Hosts were friendly and helpful, greeting us the location to tour us around the property and its amenities. There is a paddle boat and kayaks to enjoy if you like being on the water. The water is clear and the swimming was great. Multiple locations to sit and relax and enjoy nature. Week we were there was fairly quiet although it was before the start of the summer season. There is no wifi and cell service was spotty at times but it was good to disconnect for a few days. Overall a great experience.
Thanks again for another great week at your property. The kids had a blast and lots of memories were made. We are already looking forward to next year.

This was a gorgeous place to get away specially after the non-ended lockdowns.
Cozy cottage, beautiful lake view, amazing and super friendly neighbours.
Ivonne & Ernesto were very nice to welcome us to their place and make sure we had a lovely stay.
We enjoy BBQ outside while contemplating the lake. We swan in the lake with our kids, they love the paddle boat and hubby enjoy the Kayak; we went to Six Mile Park (less than 10 min away) to the beach and got to know some lovely places as Midland, Bala and Orillia.
We totally recommend this place and their owners as hosts.
Ernesto and Ivonne were the perfect hosts at this quaint cottage in Muskoka. Immaculately kept with lots of space for our family. The outdoor space makes this property, large yard and 2 docks for jumping, swimming and fishing. We look forward to many more memories at Georgian Bay!
This cottage was quite comfortable with updated bathroom, roomy master bedroom and beautiful sun room. The real plus was the outside grounds and deck which offered many options for lounging and enjoying either sun or shade. The cottage is surrounded by trees which helped keep the cottage cool on hot days.
