This home is located close to the pool in Evian and is only a short drive from the beach. There is a great view from the deck as well! The home is spacious and has plenty of seating. We really enjoyed our stay!

Thank you for your positive review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.!
We had a great time and the place was more than we expected. Plenty of space for our family of four. Short walk to the pool and beach access less than a mile away. Comfy beds and very clean. We would not hesitate to book this place again in the future. Highly recommend!
Very quiet neighborhood we really enjoyed our stay. If I had to say some critiques it would be you had to drive to everything (meaning you couldn’t walk to the pool or beach), the stairs were doable but a little scary with groceries or coming back from swimming and everything was a little dated and needed some updating (besides the hall bath). Definitely clean and roomy and overall a good choice to stay.
A friend and I were serving as volunteers at the RBC Heritage golf tournament held on Hilton Head Island, SC. We needed a place to stay during the tournament and ended up renting a villa in Shipyard Plantation. The villa was very clean and updated, in a nice / secluded area of the plantation. The owner let us check-in 2 hours earlier than normal and was very responsive to any questions we might have. While the keyless entry system didn't work, due to a defective battery in the device, the owner directed us to a key storage device which allowed us to enter and lock the villa as needed. We had a very enjoyable time in the villa.

I'm happy you enjoyed your stay SJ. Thanks for the nice review and for putting up with the lock issue.
Awful experience... do not book this place. These property managers should be banned from VRBO.

Hello. I am sorry that you had a bad experience. Unfortunately your reservation had to be cancelled due to the inability to rent at the time of reservation due to COVID and state laws. This was not under my control.
Thank you!
The quiet property is nestled in a back area of Shipyard. It is easily accessible and nearby beaches are within simple 10-20 minutes of driving. The property was more spacious than pictured and expected. The kitchen was moderately stocked for our family of 5 and fridge was great. Would have liked more information about coffee pot, lack of linens for bedding. We would have packed differently. Minor details and we will rent here again for another trip. Recommend if you are looking for a great location, pool accessibility, space for 4 to 5 people. We've rented several times in Shipyard and this location has been our favorite by far!

Great Location, House needs updates
We enjoyed the location of the property and were able to walk to the pool and even to the beach if we wanted. The beds were very comfortable and everyone had a bed to sleep in.
House was not very clean, it is old and outdated and tired. The decorating style wasn't very relaxing and some basic items that we needed were not supplied (pillow cases for more than 4 pillows-- we have a family of 6 so the kids used t-shirts as pillowcases; kitchen was not "stocked" well to do basic cooking; no beach towels or chairs to use as guests; communication with host was 0 after we got the initial email with the door code, despite us messaging them a couple times with questions during our stay).
Overall, for the price, it was okay, but we would choose to pay a little more and stay in a place that's more family friendly and updated next time.

Safari Themed Condo
We spent 10 days at Evian, Shipyard Plantation in July. The owner was easy to deal with and returned our phone calls promptly with any questions we had before and after our arrival. Check in time was 4:00 and although we arrived after 4:00 and were told our unit had been cleaned and was ready however the site manager had not inspected the unit after it had been cleaned and would be there shortly. Upon our arrival at the unit we found a pile of dirty laundry by the door. The inspector also agreed this was unacceptable and would report it. The light fixtures in the second bathroom worked randomly and the blowdryers were not working in the master bath and there was none to be found in the second bath. Luckily we have friends that live on the island and we were able to borrow one. I spoke with the owner because I wanted him to be aware of the fact that we felt the cleaning team he has hired to take care of this place was subpar. It was very dusty, the kitchen counters were sticky and there was food left in the sink. The glass tables all had glass rings and the windows had finger prints all over the place. I can't help believe that they came in, changed the sheets and cleaned the bathroooms nothing else. He did offer to have the "team" come back but I had already gone through the unit with clorax wipes. Once we cleaned up we began to relax and enjoy our surroundings. The unit itself is decorated with a wildlife theme. Even after a day or so I was still finding little touches that made the unit interesting. I loved the master bedroom suite and had no trouble sleeping although I found no evidence of 600 count sheets anywhere. I think with a little TLC this place could be a really great getaway. We rented bikes and rode them to the beach everyday instead of trying find a parking space. We have been coming to Hilton Head for 14 years and usually stay with our friends. We just wanted our own space this time around and did enjoy it.

We make every effort to insure each guest has a pleasant stay. However sometimes things don't always go as smoothly as planned. When contacted, the cleaning team said that their site inspector had been unable to inspect the unit before check-in. They assured me that this was an isolated incident that would not be repeated in the future.
I welcome feedback from all our guests and apologize for any inconvenience.
Property was as described. The kids and I always enjoy staying in Evian, it’s a perfect spot for us.

Evian stay
The place itself is decent but there are many things that need attention. Front door key sticks and almost breaks each time you open it, blinds in master are totally torn up, fan in master won’t turn off or adjust, half toilet handle sticks and keeps toilet running, patio was dirty and full of leaves-couldn’t use, TV in guest room didn’t work, kitchen is missing items. A lot to deal with when you’re trying to enjoy your trip.

Evian Stay
Location excellent, great pool, spacious place. Deck unusable due to cleanliness, refrigerator/ freezer not the cleanest.
We stayed for 5 days and it was a very nice stay. Place was clean. Well equipped and had plenty of space. It was me, my husband, my two teenagers and my two toddlers and we were all very comfortable with the amount of the space. The kitchen was nicely equipped. Had a nice pool for our condos and was pretty close to a few nice beaches. We would definitely stay again.
This was an absolute pleasure staying here. It was so quiet and so pleasant. The beach was only a 5 minute drive away and we had private access. I loved the balcony and the bed was soooooooo comfortable. Nice atrractions and good eats nearby.
Attractive condo in a gated community on Hilton Head Island
We found the unit's safari theme fun. We used the housing development's pool and saw a few alligators by the pond. Something to note is the unit has a lift chair so those with difficulty climbing stairs have an alternative.
I want to start by saying we had a wonderful time in Hilton Head! As far as the property, no information was sent to us prior to our arrival. So when we arrived, we had to call the property owner and then find the property manager to get into the property. The house was clean and it was obvious that it had been closed up for a long time( dust and cobwebs). The deck was not useable due to the dirt and debris. We called and took pictures of the property and sent them to the owner without any response from him. Wouldn’t stay at this property again, but would definitely come to Hilton Head again!!!
Renting this condo as a vacation rental was an excellent choice. Condo was clean, comfortable, and very convenient for riding bikes to pool and beach. When I had questions, the owner and property manager were kind, helpful, and quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this condo to others considering a vacation rental in the Shipyard area.

Why they chose this property
We've enjoyed the Hilton Head Island area prior to purchasing here. Our son learned to ride a bike in the parking lot outside our villa door several years ago. We have fond memories of that first vacation in Evian and try to get back each year to create more lasting memories. The setting is so beautiful and the slow pace of life is a stark contrast to the busy life at our main home.
What makes this property unique
In a few short steps, one can gain access to the Evian tennis courts and pool. Getting to the beach via foot or 1 mile bike ride gives you up close sites and scents of plant and animal life in native tropical backdrop. Limited motor vehicle parking is also available at the Beach Club lot and adjacent hotel lots with shuttle service to the beach. BIkes delivered to the villa door are the best ways to see the island. Level flat ground make peddling very easy. We enjoy the beach at sunrise. But the dark night sky on the beach is like viewing an IMAX film in 3D with 'sensaround'! It seems you can pluck the stars from the sky. Grocery stores, restaurants and shopping are a short drive from front or rear gates of the community.
