The host was easy to communicate with, everything was as described, great location, close to all of what Manchester has to offer. The house was not clean upon our arrival and there were no hand towels or wash cloths. The property manager came and brought us one hand towel...
We had a wonderful Girls weekend trip to Vermont. The house was plenty big enough for all of us. We enjoyed making pizza in the gourmet kitchen. Perfectly located to shops, spa, & locally owned restaurants.
Large well stocked kitchen! Great for families with kids due to basement entertainment area. Bedrooms lacked area to hang clothes and living area could use more comfortable chairs and couches. Host was very responsive and helpful!
Lovely, spacious home. Plenty of work space in the well-stocked kitchen. There were two living areas, which we appreciated when one wanted to read while the other played a board game. It was nice having the extra privacy of a basement bedroom. We really liked the location very near Manchester Center.
We spent 4 nights at this beautiful property in Manchester. The house itself is lovely, featuring a spectacular kitchen, and the check-in process was incredibly easy. However, there were a few surprises during our stay. We hadn't realized from the listing that the master bedroom would be locked off, leaving only one full bathroom upstairs for our four children. To ensure we had our own private bathroom, my wife and I chose to stay in the basement bedroom instead. While it worked out, it wasn't an ideal layout for our family. We also ran into a couple of minor operational issues. Upon arrival, there was only one towel provided per person for the entire 4-night stay. Additionally, we couldn't find a hair dryer, which was frustrating since my wife had specifically verified it was listed as an amenity before deciding to leave hers at home. To the property manager's credit, they were incredibly responsive and quickly brought us extra towels. We didn't reach out about the hair dryer simply because we didn't have the time to wait for a delivery once we needed it, though I have no doubt they would have corrected it quickly.Potential renters should also note that the home features several personal family photos, giving it a very distinct feel of staying in someone's personal home rather than a traditional vacation rental.Overall, for the price point and the size of our group, it was a good value for the area and we had a great stay, despite a few bumps along the way.
I finally received the refund that was promised, which is why I am rating this 2-stars instead of 1-star. I honestly have never had a worse experience with a VRBO rental. The house was left unlocked, with unfinished plumbing work upon our arrival, including a note on the boiler saying "THIS TANK IS BAD!! NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. 2-19-26." (the day we arrived!). No regular heat or hot water, and no communication from the Owner until we reached out to them (via property manager), when the basement started flooding! We were a group with 4 young kids, and had to spend our entire first night figuring out what we were going to do if the issues weren't fixed. Although it was finally fixed the next day, I spent my vacation talking to the plumber more than I even talked to the Owner/PM about the issues. I am completely appalled at the lack of communication. They offered a 50% refund since the issues were fixed for our 2nd night, but considering what a headache this whole experience was, I expected the Owner to give us a full refund. They claimed to offer us an alternative property, which was a non-VRBO rental that actually was not feasible for our stay, so that does not count from my perspective.Additionally, there were zero instructions for the house (for garbage, wifi, etc), and although it was a beautiful house, it had the vibes of a personal home vs a rental which we found odd. Great location in Manchester, but be warned about the Owner and poor communication.
