About the area
Bar Harbor
Located in Bar Harbor, this cottage is near theme parks and by the sea. Bar Harbor Whale Watching is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Acadia National Park's Visitors Center and Acadia National Park. Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf and George B. Dorr Museum of Natural History are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
The house was clean, it’s in a nice area, and there were plenty of board games for us to play as a family in between outings.
Peter was an exceptional host. He stopped by to deliver some paper goods and gave us stellar recommendations for swimming and hiking. Highly recommend.
We loved staying here. Very close to Acadia Natl Park entrance, minutes from Bar Harbor shops and restaurants, as well as walking distance from a decent restaurant. Perfect for a family with older kids. Hope to stay here again soon! Highly recommend.
This was a quaint, older, but well maintained home in a fantastic location. We were just minutes from the Acadia National Park Visitor Center where you can park and catch the free Island Explorer bus access the entire island. A few minutes further down the road and we were in Bar Harbor. The lot is small, but had beautiful landscaping, and ours a corner lot on a very quiet street.
Check in and check out was a breeze. Communication with Peter was great!
We found everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and laundry.
Thank you for a great week!
We loved our stay here! The cottage is quaint, adorable, and perfect for a family of four. It’s clean and in a great location. We were in close proximity to fantastic trails, the town of Bar Harbor, the cove, and two great swimming spots (Lakewood Pond is less than five minutes away and echo lake is about 20 min). There’s a general store a couple minutes walk away (that has an unexpectedly large spread of breakfast and lunch food!) as well as a nice restaurant on the ocean (great for apps and drinks—we weren’t so impressed with the dinners). Peter is a wonderful host—easy to get in touch and communicate with. We will certainly be back!
This lovely cabin has all the necessities for a cozy week in Bar Harbor. The place was clean, with thoughtful touches throughout, from extra paper goods and a vaccuum cleaner to a guidebook and tourist maps of the area. We also picked up some nice tips from the guest book.
It's quite close to the main entrance to Acadia, a stone's throw from a nice little beach, and about a ten minute drive from downtown Bar Harbor on a quiet street.
The host was very responsive and kept in good contact with us. My parents and my kiddo and I had a very pleasant time and slept well on the comfy beds. The garden out front was lovely and we enjoyed playing out in the side yard and grilling a few nights.

Why they chose this property
This property is on the edge of the village of Hulls Cove. From the property, you can see the Chart Room Restaurant and a local pizza restaurant, and in the winter you can see a glimpse of the ocean. The Park Entrance is just 1/2 mile away, and you can catch the free shuttle bus to intown Bar Harbor just one block from this house. And yet, our Hulls Cove Cottage is nestled next to shady trees that make for a very quiet stay.
What makes this property unique
Our cottage is comfortable and unpretentious. We enjoy the one level living, and that we are close to the Acadia National Park Entrance, Hulls Cove Beach, The Chart Room restaurant, a wine and cheese shop, and a couple of blocks away from a convenient gas station/market. Hull Cove is a special little village on the way to Bar Harbor.
