Perfect getaway
Had a great weekend at The Mountaineer! So glad for the screened in porch since it rained a lot. The tiny home was very comfortable and inviting and had everything I needed. Beautiful decor! Love the area and all the great restaurants, too. Already looking forward to my next trip to Monteagle!

Fun Cabin
Nice “Tiny” cabin in a great location close to hiking trails. The private trail at phase 1 was a surprise with one of the best waterfalls in the area!
Stayed here for our Honeymoon and loved it! The house was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay! The hot tub was our favorite place but also enjoyed the private hiking trails and Deer Lick Falls… WOW! Totally recommend!

Thank you for celebrating your honeymoon with us, Elizabeth! We're honored to have been part of such a special trip. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, and we hope to welcome you back for another getaway!
Top shelf! Very clean. First time in a tiny house with 4 people - plenty of room to maneuver and not step on each other. Wished we could have stayed longer (we were in the area visiting Sewanee baseball)

Amazing Experience
We stayed in the Mountaineer for a friend’s bachelor weekend. When I say the experience was so relaxing and positive, it is an understatement. The cabin slept 4 of us comfortably and had some great amenities! Very modern layout with nice views and a hot tub. I will definitely be booking again for a couples weekend! Also, the staff was very helpful with requests and responses were fairly quick!

Perfect get away for the weekend
This place may be small but it had everything you needed for a fun relaxing weekend with your family. We have 3 little boys and they loved the loft and the bunk beds on the first floor. My husband and I liked how we could still separate ourselves from the kids after they all went to bed either in our room, on the screened in porch in the front or at the fire pit. Our kids liked exploring the woods and playing outside the cabin. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We are already looking at our next trip to Monteagle. I think the concept of these tiny home communities is brilliant and so fun!

Lovely, quite, and we will be back
We really appreciated your coming out and fixing the hot water immediately after our call. It shows your dedication to getting things right on the first try. We are encouraging our friend on the Mountain to use your business for housing guest during the major events at the seminary at Sewanee. We will be using you again on our next trip back.

Absolutely Stunning!
The Mountaineer is simply beautiful…the colors are vibrant, the master bed slept great, kitchen stocked with needed essentials. We enjoyed having both a screened porch and open deck to enjoy the beautiful Tennessee mountain weather. It being a new home, the TV’s didn’t want to cooperate but the super friendly staff went out of their way to correct. I’m so happy we chose to spend my husband’s 60th birthday here, we will be back!

Nice TIny Home with some drawbacks
The Mountaineer was a nice property. Very clean and modern inside. It is in the newer section of the commmunity which there isn't much there or any good places to walk. When I toured all of the communities, I would prefer Sunset Bluff first and then Deer Lick Falls Section 1. The upkeep of the communities could be improved as the roads were washed out and rough with some serious potholes. The amenities were not kept up great (trash overflowing for example) and the trail to the waterfall needs some upkeep as some very important cables were down or disconnected which made the descent to the waterfall more challenging than it needed to be. The payoff is fabulous though! Incredible!
On the Mountaineer itself, as I mentioned it was very clean and well appointed. Modern and attractive with ample supplies and appliances. Nice firepit area with string lights. There is a hottub that looked clean, but we did not use.
There were several issues that we overcame, but may be important to others. 1) There was no bathroom mirror at all. Very hard to put in contacts, put on makeup, or style your hair. It was just missing and we had to go buy a small mirror. 2) The TV remote for the bedroom TV did not work and it has no accessible buttons without the remote. 3) The sectional couch on the deck had molded and mildewed cushions and was so dirty it wasn't useable. We would have enjoyed this if we could. Maybe a cover to protect the furniture would be helpful. 4) The water pressure is very light making the shower hard to use. The shower was also very tight and slippery.
Outside of these issues, we did enjoy our Tiny Home and the community is close to hiking and restaurants. After touring them all, I would definitely choose Sunset Bluff on our next trip. Also, the property management company was great. We had another property reserved and it developed a septic issue. They did work with us and offered several options.
