Hi Maxine! Thanks for the great review! We do have plenty of homes with pool cages, so the next time you stay with us, we'd love to get you in one of those homes! The view at Sand Dollar is absolutely stunning as it looks over the canal, so a pool cage would definitely hinder the view. However the owners did take into consideration that a screened lanai is a wonderful asset for any home, so that is why they left the screening around the expansive outdoor patio area. Our guests can still enjoy a nice summer's rain or a break from the heat under the covered patio, but if they are ready to sunbathe and splash about the pool, they have that option as well! It's all about preference! We hope you will come back to us and try another one of our homes with the amenities that would make your vacation absolutely perfect. Loved the experience!

This is a beautiful home! The management company was so kind. There was a plumbing issue on Thanksgiving and it was taken care of almost immediately. Also, they brought us a pie for Thanksgiving and left a bottle of wine and cupcakes in the fridge as they were aware we were celebrating an anniversary.

Great vacation home

Great home on Siesta Key. Heated pool with plenty of lounging chairs, large frontage on canal for fishing, a nice lift for a boat or pontoon, and a large screened in lanai with an outdoor dining table and comfortable furniture for relaxing in the evenings. The house came with 4 bikes, bike locks & helmets, 2 kayaks, life jackets, lots of comfortable beach chairs, towels, sand toys, umbrella, cooler & wagon to haul it all. Everything you need for fun in the sun. The management was great, very helpful prior to and during our stay, and connected us with great local services for fishing trips, grocery delivery, paddle board rentals & pontoon rentals. The house & kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable with nice bedding. Exactly .75 miles to beach parking made for easy walking or biking to the amazing beach. Only downsides were that it could use a little updating in the bathrooms & kitchen, and it was far enough away from restaurants to require a short drive in the car, but all of the other points about this property far outweigh and we will return if we are ever back on Siesta Key.
