The private heated pool has an outdoor kitchen alongside it — Grill, and covered deck overhead for shade. The open deck at poolside is where the afternoons go. This is the kind of outdoor setup that makes guests stay home from the beach more than they planned.

Inside, the living room sliders open directly onto the upper deck overlooking the pool — so the indoor and outdoor spaces flow into each other naturally. The kitchen is large and fully equipped for serious meal preparation — full-size appliances, complete cookware, and everything needed to cook properly for a group of six. Guests who like to cook will find this kitchen actually delivers on that promise.

Out back, a small fishing pier faces the canal. The water is known locally for snook — no guarantees, but guests who bring rods have had luck. No boat access to the bay from here, which is worth knowing if you're planning a boating trip. If you're planning a fishing afternoon without leaving the property, this is the place.

The two-car garage keeps vehicles covered and out of the Florida sun. Beach cart, beach toys, and gear are provided for trips to the water.

Three bedrooms sleep six. The master has a king bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has two twin beds. Smart TVs in all rooms. High-speed WiFi throughout. Full-size washer and dryer in the unit.

Lakeside Beach House requires a one-week minimum stay with parking for three vehicles. Not pet-friendly.

This place was great. A very unique location with the pond and dock in the backyard along with a very nice outdoor pool area. Our family enjoyed all the amenities of the home and the short walk to beautiful beaches. The only thing lacking for the beach was a cooler so we purchased a small one and left it there for future guests to enjoy. Looking forward to booking again.

Another year and another trip to Anna maria island this house was great! 2 block walk from the beach nice pool and a little dock to fish off of! My kids had a blast would highly recommend!

Good fit for families

The house is two blocks from the beach - very walkable. Kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. The pool is smaller than the images led me to believe, but it worked for our kids. For those who like to plan ahead, you need to bring some essentials like hand soap, toilet paper and paper towel- though a limited supply is provided, it’s not enough for a week.

Lakeside - Holmes Beach

Property was perfect for our family of 4. Kids enjoyed the pool and watching the fish jump in the lake. Convenient location for beach access. 10/10 recommend. Kids are ready to book it again for next year!

Great cold-weather getaway!

The location of the property was perfect! A 2-block walk to the beach PLUS a beautiful, secluded backyard pool area! If you like to walk (we do!), a mile in either direction will get you to a variety of shops restaurants and bars. Jump in the car and take a short ride to Bridge Street….a little further to Lido and Longboat Keys! OR a take day trip to St Pete/Madeira Beach/Treasure Island. The home was well supplied and comfortable for kids/grandkids to spread out the first week and perfect to share with friends the following week….

The house needs to be updated with new kitchen & bathroom floors. The property needs a deep clean including the carpets. If improvements were made I would rent again.

We have been to Anna Maria a few times and our kids love the beautiful beaches. Of course the trip would not be the same without the beautiful house and pool. They spent so much time in the water I thought they would turn into fish. The house was beautiful and clean. We had rented a golf cart and enjoyed jumping in and traveling to the beach or some shopping or to someplace to eat. It was so wonderful and refreshing.

Great location

We have been to coming AMI for 6 years. This location to the beach was amazing! The pool was good. Other areas left a lot to be desired. I would recommend a deep cleaning of the kitchen/dining area. The floor was black in areas. A damp paper towel took it off. The lower cabinets in the kitchen have various food on them along with the refrigerator too. There were only 7 forks. Could have used a few more to not have to wash in between every meal. The top oven coil did not heat, leaving our pizza with a blackened crust and slightly melted cheese (we called on this and they put in a request for someone to come but they did not while we were there). The main bathroom had several areas with dust and dirt on the baseboards and between the vanity and wall, along with several areas on the walls that looked like they just needed to be wiped off (toothpaste and other little globs of stuff). There was no table off the upper deck as pictured and described when we reserved the house. The beach cart had 4 flat tires and once we inflated them we discovered the bearings on the back 2 wheels were completely rusted away and the wheels could fall right off the axile. The beach chairs were amazing. The 2 umbrellas did not have poles to use with them. The poles there were too small and the umbrella just slide down. The replacement grill did not have enough propane to cook our first meal completely. We called on this first thing in the morning and a new tank was brought just before 5pm. We again had issues with the grill not getting hotter then 150 degrees and we called and someone came and repaired a couple parts. The AC was set at 74 on our arrival. We were unable to decrease it the first day. The second it was between 74-72 during the day but at 74 over night. We called Sunday as it was thick and very uncomfortable the first night. We were told someone had already been called about the AC. During our week stay no one ever came about the AC. The front bedroom was much cooler than the rest of the house. The thermostat as had an error code a couple times of not being able to communicate with the internet. The house is a couple minute walk to wonderful beach access. The pool was good.

The only issue we had was with the City of Holmes Beach. They have done a horrible job of managing the construction on Marina, Gulf drives and Holmes Blvd areas. Huge traffic backups were very common and the dust / noise keep us from visiting that area.

A lovely winter break

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I spent a week at Lakeside Beach House in early January. The weather was spectacular, the house was quiet and perfectly situated by the beach and next to a pond where we could watch the ducks and other birds frolic. The balcony looks out over the heated pool, We spent hours each day either in the pool or at the beach. Our ritual when we go to Anna Maria or Holmes Beach: we stop at Publix on our way from the airport to stock up for the week. We BBQ or go to one of the local restos, like The Sandbar or Ginny and Jane E's. This house is huge: next time we are bringing the whole family! We will definitely be back.
