Great location! Close but not too close to town. Loved the coziness of the cabin. Only thing is the stairs that lead to upstairs are really steep, but would absolutely vacay here again:)
Another great stay (our 8th I think). If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing location with beautiful views and trails to hike right outside your door, this is the place.
Great cabin! Enjoyed the tranquility & actually slept good, which is a first when we are away from home!! We are looking forward to going back for another stay!
The kind of getaway that dreams are made of. Perfect location to unplug, unwind, and find the kind of peace that only nature can offer. Town is not far either, making it the ideal location!
The house was very cozy, clean and the fireplace felt so good. We needed the solitude this afforded us. We arrived after dark and had trouble finding the driveway, so I advise a trial run or arrive well before dark.
Beautiful setting, nice cabin, but the furnishings are old and worn. Bed sheets are shredding.

I'm glad the guest liked the cabin and its tranquil setting. Some of the furniture is antique and vintage farmhouse style. It remains comfortable and appropriate for the country home that this cabin is. Some older sheets were left at the house for emergency use. Apparently a new housekeeping hire put them on the queen beds. They will be removed and new sheets will be provided.
We love this spot! We plan to visit each season. Its so beautiful and peaceful. Great place to catch up on family time, read a good book, go for a walk and just enjoy nature!
This cozy cabin was perfect for our family. It allowed us to disconnect from our busy lives and spend some quality time together. My son and husband loved fishing while I sat outside with them and read. We played games and worked on a puzzle by the fire. Would 100% stay here again.
Get place to get away. Very peaceful and quiet. House was in great shape. We enjoyed our stay very much.

About the host
Hosted by Jane Harrison
We're an outdoor family whose idea of a fun vacation usually involves activities in or around water, woods, and trails. This place gets us where we can have all that, plus the amenities of a charming small town and the solace of the mountains.
Why they chose this property
There's no better place to enjoy the Georgia Mountains than in our country log cabin where you're away from it all, but close to what matters.
What makes this property unique
When we're relaxing at the cabin, we like to pick up a summer novel to read on the front porch swing or warm up in winter by the fireplace gas logs. We like to feed the fish, too, and thrill at the huge lunkers who come up with mouths wide open. In the evenings, we relax on the porch rockers while the bulldogs croon on the pond. We enjoy watching wild turkeys peck and deer graze the grassy yard. The field awaits our soccer ball or your football or dinner on the ground! Sometimes we get competitive with a game of corn hole...but try to keep it fun and relaxing!
