About the host
Hosted by Dakota
We are from Alaska but come down to Detroit several times of year for business and friends. We landed on this house because it is so close to several things we enjoy doing (Walking through Belle Isle, the various Marinas, Golfing, antiquing and clubbing). Its interesting so far hosting and we made the house for us and want to share with others.
Why they chose this property
Honestly - Detroit is no longer cutting off neighborhoods but is actively investing and rebuilding the burbs and inner city. MapleRidge is a recent recipient of grants from both the feds and the city to revitalize it. So many cool mom and pop businesses have sprung up as of late and it is now one of the quietest neighborhoods on East Side while still being affordable and well located. Plus the neighbors were actually friendly when we were house hunting.
What makes this property unique
Small touches of us. We remodeled and fixed a lot of the previous owners "repairs" to suite us and decided to rent it out so it doesnt sit unoccupied for long stretches of the year. We want to share our relaxation space with others.
