About this property
Cozy Mountain Cabin: Modern Amenities, Room for the Whole Family and then some
Our cabin is the perfect homebase for hitting the slopes, exploring the surrounding wilderness, or just enjoing a relaxing time next to the fire. This cabin has everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Here's what
Spacious Living Room with Wood-Burning Stove: The large living area is perfect for gathering after a day of outdoor fun. Enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning stove (with central heating available for those who prefer not to start a fire). Plus, heated floors on the ground floor for that EXTRA layer of comfort.
Convenient Kirkwood Resort Shuttle: For you powder pounders, we get door-to-shuttle service from the Kirkwood Resort Shuttle, so you can easily get to and from the slopes without the hassle of parking, stuffing your gear in your car, or being remotely sober!
Fully Equipped Kitchen: We're a cooking family and prefer to cook our meals at home in the full kitchen, which includes all the essentials and plenty of cooking staples for your convenience. Whether you're brewing coffee in the morning or cooking a hearty dinner after a day on the slopes, you'll feel right at home.
Why are there so many beds?: Our cabin is designed with families in mind, it typically sleeps 6 comfortably. But for god knows what reason, there's additionally a futon, fold-out sofa, and even a secret queen-sized bed (that I didn't add to the count). Whether you’re a smaller group or bringing the extended family, there’s plenty of bed space for everyone.
Outdoor Spaces: Enjoy the fresh mountain air on either of the two decks both connected to the living room. The spacious front deck is also fully covered and protected from the snow. The front entrance is similarly covered and equipped with wooden lockers so you can keep your wet gear safely outside and out of the elements.
Extras for Your Comfort: In addition to the sheets and towels made available in each room, there are tons of extra linens so you’ll never be short on the essentials. This is a family vacation home and not a high-end resort, we’ve designed it to be a comfortable, practical space for your family to enjoy. With that in mind, come prepared for unmatched sheet sets and some quirky home solutions.
Note: the bath doesn't currently work, so keep that in mind during your stay.
Winter-Friendly Access: A path to the front door will always be cleared, but when there's 10+ feet of snow make sure you're prepared to walk over packed snow.
This cabin is perfect for families or respectful groups who want to enjoy a peaceful mountain retreat. It’s not a place for loud parties — like everyone else on this site, we’re looking for guests who will treat our home with care and respect. We love the rustic charm of the cabin, and that is no invitation to treat it rough.
If you're looking for a comfortable, family-oriented retreat in Kirkwood — where you can enjoy the beauty of the mountains, cook a meal together, and relax by the fire — this is the spot for you. Book today and enjoy a stay that’s as close to the slopes as it gets, with all the comfort and convenience you could ask for.
