Amazing time at this fantastic cabin!
I stayed here with 9 other members of my family, with ages ranging from 2-65. We had plenty of room for sleeping, lounging, eating and anything else. The cabin is gorgeous and offered plenty for all the kids to do- the garage game room was an awesome feature since we had 2 days that were extremely hot (high 90's). We played family games of darts, Yahtzee and ping pong while staying cool and out of the sun. We also rented a pontoon from Curt, which was very nice. We anchored at the sand bar multiple days, took a few cruises around the lake, and took it to Pickerel Point Resort (I recommend the Purple Rain drink) across the lake where we had some food, drinks and the kids swam. We had a few fires at night and the added bonus of Curt spraying for mosquitos made it even more enjoyable. The view from the cabin has to be one of the best on the lake (from the main room/kitchen or outside). We saw lots of wildlife (turtles, deer, fox, among others), and there was plenty of room outside for the kids to play or us just to hang out. The 1 thing the older kids mentioned was they wished there was a beach or swimming area right at the cabin. Technically they could have swam at the 1 larger dock, but they saw seaweed and didn't want to go in right there. We spent a ton of time at the sandbar which was a great alternative solution and was really fun. I would suggest bringing floaties to tie up to the pontoon for a nice relaxing sandbar snooze! Curt and his wife stayed at the cabin next door and were around to chat with, but never were encroaching in on our vacation. They are extremely nice and we enjoyed hearing about the cabin and how they ended up here. They gave us a great recommendation for a great fish fry, Norm's Hollow, which was awesome! We loved our stay so much that we will be going back next year. I highly recommend it!

We are both retired. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching Packers, Badgers, Brewers and our time at the lake; on the pontoon, riding ATV/UTV's, sitting around the campfire with a cold drink enjoying the views. DeAnn enjoys working on stained glass and other crafts. I enjoy building things, wood working projects, landscaping and deer hunting.

Why they chose this property

We looked for one and a half years before finding our dream property, with great western views of lake. We bought two lots and then designed and built the home to take advantage of the great views. We have great neighbors who are friendly and helpful.

What makes this property unique

Lake House was designed and built to take advantage of great lake views from all rooms in the house. Deck/Patio and Campfire area also have great lake views. Pickerel Lake is great for fishing, kayaking, boating, skiing and especially for relaxing pontoon rides. Whether your looking for action or relaxation this is a perfect spot on the lake.
