About the host

I love traveling, and have been all over the world. I’ve stayed in questionable motel 6’s, unique Airbnbs, ridiculously bougie hotels. I’ve seen the “WOWWW”, the great, the good, the bad, and the “you couldn’t pay me to go back there”. This house is my baby, and instead of cutting corners to increase a profit margin, I pour myself into what really matters - a genuine, meaningful guest experience. If that’s not the whole point, then what is? My goal is to curate solace and ambience that leaves you proud of the memories you leave with. To provide everything you may need to make you feel as comfortable as at home.
This is not a mansion boasting pristine chandeliers, ceiling height marble backsplash kitchens, fridges that you have to search for behind panels of intricate cabinetry, and heated bidet toilets. This is a home whose walls have seen the laughter of families reconnecting. It has character and soul; it exudes history, has an eclectic charm that only time and thought can create. It’s a home filled with relics of the past that spark just as much curiosity as questions answered. It’s a home that creaks in certain spots and smells of cedar and mountain foliage. It’s a home where you can pull a random poetry book from a shelf, dated 1920, and words that are strung together in such a pleasantly antiquated, deeply moving way that you wonder what happened to modern literature.
I’ll never stop dreaming up projects to add to this place. I will do my damndest to not let it become what we all hate (scarce supplies, no human touch, no attention to detail, operated by remote management companies that are so far removed and too expansive to care). That’s not who we choose to be, even if changing times are forcing the world in that direction. Certain things are worth protecting fiercely. We are, and will always be, locally owned and managed. I hope you notice the difference and truly enjoy your stay.
If you made it this far, I think it’s time to book your vacation. 🙂
Why they chose this property
The view! And the privacy.
What makes this property unique
Just added: An amazing greenhouse spa room with a refinished black and gold claw foot tub, lush green hanging plants, music, a rotating disco light, and twinkle lights. It’s a vibe! Honestly my favorite room, I can spend hours in here, listening to music on the built in JBL. In the room is also a one person dry sauna, two yoga mats, a rocking chair and some light weights for those that like to work out on vacation** You can also use the tub for cold plunge after sauna.
We also have a brand new hot tub, fire pit, wood burning stove. Lots of kitchen supplies, vintage books, games, baby and kid supplies.
