Beautiful yurt in the forest, truly enjoyed staying there. It was so cute. You can cook there too which is amazing. I might recommend bringing your own blankets just in case it gets cold as provided options were a little limited. Wifi was a little spotty/problematic cuz you're literally in the forest so not a big deal but other than that no complaints whatsoever. Would go again 100%
The yurt was perfect! It was clean, nicely decorated, and very cozy! The pull out couch with the mattress topper was very comfy. It was very close to Rainier access, and we were able to drive into Eatonville to find delicious food and drinks. Would stay here again.

Thank you for staying with us Bobbi! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the yurt, surrounding area, and one of our favorite local hang out spots :)
Greg and Hayley have created an excellent vacation rental. The yurt has beautiful decor, amenities that show care for our rental experience, and a peaceful, relaxing setting. It was a delightful experience!
Beautiful Location, Impeccable Service, but Note the Unique Bed Setup!**Our stay at The York was fantastic. The property itself is beautiful and the location couldn't be better—it's right down the street from the entrance to Mount Rainier, making it an ideal base for our hike at **Rampart Ridge**.The unit was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. We appreciated the ease of controlling the room temperature and the beautiful, well-stocked kitchen and full siz refrigerator, which we made wonderful use of. The bathroom was full size with amenities. A lovely touch was the provided area guide with local restaurants, hikes, and amenities. The property manager, Greg, was truly exceptional. He was incredibly responsive to all of my random text messages, even the late-night ones, which made a huge difference in our stay.**A note for future guests:** The listing is accurate, but travelers should be aware that the queen-sized sleeping space is a **pull-out sofa** (which we found to be a bit unique) rather than a traditional queen bed. It works perfe

We had no access to hot water the entire evening. Around 9 PM, I turned on the shower and realized the water wasn’t hot. I messaged the host immediately, but received no call back and only short replies through messaging. The host did not come to the property and provided no effective assistance other than asking us to check the breaker box ourselves outside in the dark. After over an hour with no solution and no running hot water, I had to rinse off quickly with lukewarm water. I was shivering and had to go to bed to warm up myself. My husband was unable to wash his hair at all.We understand it’s a small water heater, but we did not overuse it. There was no mention of these limitations in the listing, and the lack of on-site support made this a stressful and unpleasant experience. The host only followed up the next morning, long after the issue was over.Would not stay again.

Hello Sydney,
We are very sorry you were having issues with the hot water in the shower like we communicated. I am sorry I didn't answer your missed call right away and also wasn't able to come look into the issue personally because I was at work. After you checked out we had a technician come look into the issue with the hot water tank and everything was working just as it should. Out of around 150 bookings we have only ran into this issue one other time where I personally checked the tank and electrical and after that, the guest admitted that they took a very long/hot shower which ran the hot water out of the hot water tank. As I explained through the app and my personal phone, when this happens it takes about 1-1.5 hours to warm back up. We are very sorry this happened during your stay!

Why they chose this property
Having spent most of my life on the property where the yurt is located I have deep roots in the area. I first stayed in a yurt up in Whistler, BC and knew right away I wanted to bring that feeling I had back home some day for other travelers to experience.
What makes this property unique
While there are many options up and around the area where the yurt is located, we are one of the very small handful that offer as much space and property to check out and unwind.
