The house was very nice and we found it to be a very comfortable and well laid out home away from home. The location is pretty central to anything we wanted,to go or do
The property is lovely and well taken care of. We loved the large, comfortable porch and spent most of our time there. Proximity to beaches in York as well as Ogunquit was definitely a plus as well. All rooms are well furnished and comfortable. It’s clear the owner takes pride in the property and ensures guests are well taken care of. We would definitely recommend this property to others.
The owner was very accommodating. Went above and beyond to help us with a generator issue in the house. We loved the house; it was furnished with everything we needed and was in a great location. Would highly recommend this home!

Amazing house with a very warm home feeling
We stayed this summer for a week with our wedding guest and everyone loved staying here, a beautiful house with lots of personal nautical touches, lovely beds and bathrooms, bbq, verandah!! Also very clean and well looked after by the owners and staff.
This is such a wonderful area with lots of shops, good food and restaurants and obviously the many beaches around so I can highly recommend it!

This large house was enjoyed by our family of 8 (three generations). Kitchen was well-equipped, with bbq grill for outdoor cooking. Wrap-around porch was lovely for Maine evenings. Nice family room adjoining kitchen. . Bedrooms were spacious, although third floor bedroom mattresses were clearly for kids. Proximity to Cliff House allowed us to view their July 4th fireworks from our windows, and we had a very nice lobster/clam dinner there one night.
One negative was the master bathroom, The (molded plastic) tub has an ageing small rubber mat and NO grab bars. One of our seniors had a fall. Owner attention needed. .
Great, quiet location with plenty of space. Nice open layout in the kitchen and living room area. There is a formal living room/dining room that we really didn’t use because it’s kind of closed off. If it was not so formal and closed off the extra space would be great. The dining table in the kitchen area was a bit cramped but we made it work. The bedrooms and bathrooms were exceptional as was the porch. Nice place! Want to rent again next year.
The location of this rental is smack dab in the middle of two favorite locations—York Beach and Ogunquit. We are as fond of the York Beach fun and food options as we are of those in Ogunquit. We frequently enjoy the dining and boat tours out of Ogunquit’s Perkins Cove, and our hearts lie in the beaches and Nubble Lighthouse of York, so being situated between the two locations was perfect. This home is lovely and spacious, with a yard that boasts beautiful landscaping and a resident deer family as well as other friendly critters. We steered the children away from the formal dining and living room area, but there is plenty of space to enjoy via the family room adjacent to the kitchen as well as the beautiful wrap-around porch with comfy seating. Beds are comfortable and bedrooms are spacious, with TVs and special touches in each bedroom. Generous amounts of paper goods are provided, and the kitchen is well appointed with dish and cookware. We especially appreciated the timely responses from Jenna to any questions that we had. Being in a more lively pedestrian area might be attractive to some but the advantage of this quiet location is also a plus.
This property is in a great location and can accommodate a large family or group of friends. It lacks amenities that would be nice for out of town guests ie beach chairs, towels . It has no master closet and many locked owners closets. It needs updating to be more suitable for a rental. Furniture is old and many breakables in the house. We felt for the price beds should be made upon arrival, and linens and towels should be available. The backyard is beautiful and the property manager was kind and attentive to our concerns! Overall great stay but wouldn’t rent this particular property again.
Rental property was the perfect size for us. 2 families with kids sharing property. Great kitchen and lots of space. Enjoyed making s’mores at the fire pit. Great location. House could use a bit of electrical upgrading (a lot of outlets not functioning, broken lightbulbs). Could use a deep cleaning to get rid of the cobwebs and dust in the windows (we opened them to get ventilation & air out from prior guests covid precaution). We brought our own cleaning supplies and did our own cleaning prior to setting ourselves up (again covid precaution), little details that could make a difference during this pandemic ( replacing or removing shower mats, new rental linens, cleaning utensils drawers in between guests and ice cube trays!).
Overall great stay, great location and very responsive team to work with.
We had a very lovely stay. Lots of family time. Porch was awesome, we spent mornings, evenings. Someone was always out there.
Walk in association to cliffs beautiful view. We drove to long sands beach. Parking there was a bit difficult but reasonably priced. The ogunquit beach near marginal way was beautiful and large note tho parking expensive and you also couldn’t leave and come back.
Very homey. I did not allow the kids or pretty much anyone in the room I called the “white room” but plenty of room else where.
My only suggestion is to leave instructions on what to do with garbage and if there was there a date to take it out.
Thanks so much!

We stayed as a family with 2 couples, 1 grandparent, 3 children, and 2 teenagers. This house worked really well for our crowd. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, making it easy to accommodate 10 people and the living space is spacious enough, especially including the outdoor deck, that we never felt cramped (except when trying to all use the kitchen at the same time). The house also has some yard space and a pebble cove within walking distance that allowed us to entertain the children during down time. The house itself is unremarkable and the decor is dated, but you don't go to Ogunquit for the house.
The location is convenient -- 5 minutes to Perkin's Cove and 8 minutes to Ogunquit Beach. This made it easy to do various things throughout the day and come back between events.
This house is a compelling option for a large multi-family party, especially if you want to come and go throughout the day between activities rather than spending 8 hours at the beach without break.
We just returned from having spent a week at this property. We were 6 adults and 3 infants and the place served our needs beautifully. Property management company was great and promptly responded to any questions that we had, both prior to && during our stay. I would definitely recommend this property!
Let me start by saying I don’t think I have ever given less that 5 stars, so this is not just my way... it might seem picky, but just want everyone to be aware.
The good: The location of the house is amazing. Half way between Ogunquit and york, and close to the marginal way. The house is very spacious and fit our group of 8 easily. The yard was huge and we really liked the picnic tables outside.
The not so great: the listing says pantry items, but when we checked in, the only things in the pantry were salt and pepper shakers and the salt was empty. So plan to bring EVERYTHING you might want for cooking. When we got to the rooms, the linens were folded up on the beds for us to make ourselves, and they could use some improvement for sure. When you pay so much for a house, you kind of expect nicer towels and sheets. The towels were very old and there were not enough pillow cases for the pillows in any room. The only notes around the house were the ones threatening to charge $350 if we lost the hvac remotes, not one telling us how to open the door to the porch even though it had a weird child lock and we had to call to get help opening it. A lawn company came at 8am one morning, and when I suggested they tell people about that in the future they claimed they didn’t know when they were going to come every week. So just be prepared to be woken up if you don’t have small kids who are up already at that time. And there is no recycling because they claimed it was too hard to figure out how to do it with the town. Isn’t that why a management company exists? To figure those things out? When we got down to our last trash bag, we asked if there were more, and it seemed like they were doing big favor when they brought us some. So maybe add those to your shopping list too!
The management company was responsive, but if I were the homeowners, I might consider having a conversation with them. I am sure the owners are paying a big commission and I would expect better from them. The company really made it feel like they were in it for money, not to make us feel welcome. (Of course they are, but some places still make you feel like they care about you and not just the dollar!)
Only complaints about the house itself: the white room seems like such a waste of space: no one with kids will use it! And there aren’t enough chairs at the kitchen table for the number of people who fit in the house.
Great location and space with some room for improvement
The good: The location of the house was ideal for us (close to both Short Sands and Ogunquit) as was the space inside the house. The bedrooms are generously sized with nice separation between. We especially liked having the kids on the 3rd floor. We also liked having 2 living spaces plus the nice porch, even though the formal living room is kind of strangely separated and not super practical for a family with kids. We only let our oldest in there just to be on the safe side. The kitchen is nicely appointed and lots of pantry space. The dining table was large too, which was nice.
Some room for improvement:
I am not sure if the cleaners had not done as thorough of a job as usual or what but the house wasn't super clean. There were dead bugs in every window and doorway. There was pet hair in some of the bedrooms. There were blanket type covers on the couch in the main living space that smelled and hadn't been washed. There was a urine smell in 2 bathrooms.
Additionally, The a/c in the main living room wasn't working upon our arrival and took a few days to fix...but it was ultimately fixed remotely...so why did it take so long?
Overall it was a good house for us for the week but cleanliness should be more of a priority.
Rented this place with my adult siblings, spouses and two teens. Plenty of space for everyone. We were out most of the day and used the house as home base to come together in the evenings. We enjoyed cocktails on the deck and dinner as a group each evening.
We loved how close we were to Ogunquit, and walked the marginal way every morning.
Would absolutely rent this property again!
Porch very relaxing. House centrally located to many beaches in the area. Enjoyed look out beach point by the home. House is homey.
Stairway to third level could use a light that turns on from second level.
Overall, a very nice house and we would stay again. The bedrooms were generally large, the yard was large, and the number of bathrooms was adequate for the eight of us. Laundry on the second floor where most of the bedrooms were was convenient. The wrap around porch was wonderful, and there was plenty of outdoor furniture on it. The porch wraps around to the back of the house, which I don't think you can see from the photos. We spent a lot of time relaxing there in the beautiful weather. The location of the house is in a very nice area with the golf course across the street and the Cliff House next door. We used both - went to the Cliff House for lunch one day and drinks another. Traffic isn't an issue on Shore Road where the house is, but it IS in town, of course.
There is a nearby rocky beach (no sand) that you can walk to with striking views - so quintessentially Maine! The house is supposed to be part of the neighborhood association that has access to it. We went there almost every day, and noticed after a couple of days someone posted a new sign saying "Private Cove-No Trespassing." So we think maybe we were in the wrong spot? We went down to the rocky beach, but maybe were only supposed to stay in the small area where the picnic table was? There were no clear directions from the homeowners.
The not-so-good: no closet for our use in the master bedroom. We read prior reviews and brought a portable clothes hanging rack we happened to have. But there was no dresser, so we had to live out of suitcases with the rest of our clothes.
Also, though the house can sleep ten, the kitchen table could only seat I think eight people. There are no stools at the counter (though they're shown in the photo). And the family room was small, and could only fit maybe six or seven people if you bring extra kitchen chairs over.
There are ductless room a/c's that work OK - take a little getting used to. But there is NO a/c in the living room and dining room. Before we booked the house I specifically asked if there was a/c throughout the whole house, and I was told there were units in every room. Not quite true.
Some suggestions would be to clarify where exactly renters are allowed to go to the neighborhood beach. Also the owners should buy a clothes rack and an inexpensive dresser if they are not going to open up the master closet. There's plenty of room for them - take out a chair or two to fit them.
We had a great time! House was perfect for our family. Plenty of space and perfect location. Close to all we wanted to do. We loved sitting on the back porch and listening to nature.
Lovely home with great AC in every room. Third floor bedrooms for the kids were terrific for their early bedtime. Hanging any clothes in master bedroom was tricky as no closet available. Did not have the septic tank listed in house description but ended up not being a problem for us. Overall wonderful family time for us!
Great management. Master bedroom needs help. No dresser or closet to put clothes in. Review should state it is a septic system. Jenna was excellent when we had an electric problem

House near York
A lovery house with plenty of room for us a family of nine. Kitchen was basic and adequate, however the cooking utensils were sadly lacking and no electric kettle.
Had to ask agents for a clothes iron and board and a new hairdryer, which they sorted promptly. Master bedroom had a walk in closet, which was locked, as contained owners personal effects, meaning there was no hanging space at all for this room. We felt this was unacceptable and complained to agents who said this was an ongoing problem that owners need to address. Otherwise we had a great week and enjoyed the house and all that this area had to offer.

Excellent for large groups!
We just stayed in this house for a week and it was perfect for our group of 3 families. Plenty of room for all and having the 3rd floor with it's own bathroom was perfect for the kids! The location is great and there is plenty to do within mins of the house. The weather was cold and rainy a few days and we visited some children's museums within an hour of the house and got to see more of Maine. Lobster rolls galore and Ogunquit is a great beach for young kids and even the older folks in our group. We will deffinately be back if we do Maine again! Highly recommended~!
