Perfect base of operations for a UP vacation. House was amazing. Kayaks and floating platform made up for the lack of a real swimming area. My 3 kids (teen to young adult) spent significant time in the water. Note that it is very shallow as far out as we cared to walk. That worked fine for us but might be challenging with smaller kids. Fire pit was also a great way to spend the evenings, with plenty of firewood available on the property.
Beautiful home in a very peaceful location. The listing is exactly how it described. Really couldn’t have asked for more. Looking forward to returning.
Wonderfully quiet retreat to recharge and enjoy the water! Kitchen was well stocked if you are a fan of cooking, and everything was not just pretty but comfortable to use/sit on/relax. Would definitely stay again!
Very Pet-friendly and such a beautiful home, we loved the backyard and fire pit right on the beach. Easily one of my favorite rentals I’ve stayed in. We’re already thinking about when we can go back!
The home was lovely and the view off the back porch was fantastic! Very well equipped kitchen. The owners were extremely responsive! We'd highly recommend this place to anyone!
We totally enjoyed our stay! The shallow, sandy bay was great for first time kayakers. Very peaceful and quiet. Found a nice bar, The Dock, in Garden that we visited almost daily. Highly recommend!
Amazing house and a breathtaking view of the water. House was extremely clean and well appointed. We hope to stay again next time we are in the UP. I highly recommend for anyone traveling in the Cooks area that is looking to enjoy serenity and the lake
We had a wonderful stay at this property for a long winter weekend! The home was both comfortable and beautifully designed. The master bathroom was a standout—spacious, with a gorgeous large shower and elegant fixtures that made it feel like a private spa. The main gathering area was perfect for relaxing together after a day out, with plenty of seating and a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was modern and well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy them right at home. We also appreciated the quaint and thoughtful touches throughout the house. Every detail felt carefully chosen and thoughtfully finished. This property offered the perfect mix of comfort, style, and craftsmanship. Highly recommend!
This was a beautiful home and beautiful location. It was easy to find and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was easy to reach with quick responses. We enjoyed the rocking chairs and spent a lot of our time just relaxing on the porch looking out over the water. The seating around the firepit was great, too. We were able to enjoy a couple campfires while watching the sunset. This is definitely a location we would like to go back to.
This is a great house with beautiful views! It was everything we expected. The house was clean and well-equipped. The master bedroom and bathroom were particularly nice. The beds were very soft but comfortable. Loved the pillows.
If you need a place to unwind with your family with incredible sunset views, easy to access day trips in the area, and have all of the amenities of home, this is the place. We loved the sunset views! The kids enjoyed using the kayaks, and the adults loved the sauna. The screened in porch was a beautiful place for our grandma to sit and watch the kids play all day. We want to return again next year!

All in all was a nice house but for this price point it could have been better. Dead bugs under the couch my dog ate. Both the bottom floor toilet seats move around. Yes I could have emailed the owner but I’m not putting my vacation on hold and put my dogs away to have someone fix an issue that should have already been taken care of. The vacuum cleaner was packed full of dust and hair. The door to the side door does not stay closed. You have access to the kayaks but there is literally no where you can put them in the water at this property and you also can not fish at this property as the water line is to far out with sand bars all around you. My first time to the up and it wasn’t the greatest. Very expensive house with little amenities. Also only one tv in the main sitting area. Could have been cleaner with dead bugs every where.

David, thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you found your stay unsatisfactory.
However, had you contacted me during your stay, I would have worked with you to make things right. You contacted me a few times before your trip and as you were leaving, and each time I responded promptly. Since I hadn't heard from you during your stay, I thought all was well and you were enjoying your trip.
Regarding pricing, keep in mind my rates are the same whether I have one guest or eight (which is my maximum). Rather than a hotel room, you have access to a 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom house, as well as the surrounding property, including the private beach.
The property was clean and conveniently located for everything we wanted to do. I had a few questions before our stay, and they were quickly answered. When we got to the house it was very well stocked with everything that we needed. The beach was clean and the amount of fire wood available is crazy! I think the owners go above and beyond any other property I've stayed at as far as household supplies. I 100% recommend this house and these owners!
I wanted to go to Florida for my son's spring break, but he wanted to do something different from all his friends, so we ended up in the UP, and I am glad we did! I don't think I have seen a better sunset anywhere! The house is beautiful, with an amazing great room, killer kitchen and the master bathroom has the largest shower I have ever been in!The beach is sandy, wild and rugged (given the time of year, we did not go in the water)The firepit with supplied firewood was quite the added bonus. We will definitely be back in summer to swim and kayak!
Age 3 years to 58 years old not 1 complication. We do have 1 question, how much did you have to pay the wild life to put on their shows? I loved watching the crane in the morning. Thank you.
We use this Verbo as a main spot to come back to every night and we used it a couple times to grill and cook items. There is plenty of rooms however we did buy a fan. Hopefully if you were reading this, you will get to use it cause it does tend to get hotter upstairs.

Molly, thank you for your feedback! We just had ceiling fans installed in the upstairs bedrooms so that should help going forward. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. And, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise:)
Was a beautiful home. Upstairs was stuffy even with air on had small ceiling fans and other fans going. . Only one TV in entire house with Roku. Internet good but weaker upstairs. Good cell signal though. Bring bug spray will get eaten up at night. Bring kindling or papers to start fire in fire pit. Neighbor noticed our struggle and shared kindling. Also be aware beach is oval shaped and separated from water by medium large mucky area with tall weeds and grass. Weeds are pokey so bring beach shoes. There is a somewhat cleared path to water. When you get to water it is mucky until you get out a bit and sand firms up. There are random rocks that poke up so our crocs water shoes were invaluable. Husband who is unsteady and on blood thinners did not try the walk to the water due to the poky weeds and mucky walk. Kayaks were fun, pretty calm area most days son had fun. Don’t miss state park right down road lots to see and explore and nice easy gravel to walk on along water. Dollar General close by. Manistique about 20 minute drive. amazing sunsets at house. Did iron mine tour iron mountain that was fun. We were there for record breaking heat and air quality emergencies. Iron mine air was wonderful and refreshing. High quality grill nice deck comfy chairs and small screened area
This home was very clean and well taken care of. It had all the amenities that you could want or need. The location was beautiful and my family had a great time and loved the fact that it is pet friendly. It was a great place to make family memories that we will remember.
