Our family of 10 stayed and it met our needs. Clean, amazing location, housekeepers came by on weekdays and the property manager was able to quickly fix an AC issue fairly quickly. Highly recommend the property.
The White House was exactly as advertised. Beautiful home, well maintained and in a great location for walking to many attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this property!
Our family of 9 stayed here during our vacation to Greece and WOW! This house is unique and beautifully decorated and the location is unbeatable! We had an incredible time and really enjoyed our stay.
We were a traveling party of 7, everyone was very comfortable and the location couldn't have been better in relation to the Plaka and all of the historical sites. Extremely convenient being within walking distance of everything. Highly recommend!
could not ask for a better location. property is also very spacious, and has unmistakable historic charm. Steps to key sites. We walked the entire stay, did not need a car. Given historical value of the property, it come with certain points to adjust to - water pressure, water heater capacity, no central AC - though each room units were adequate. Overall - amazing - but be a little open minded - it is not a modern construction.
We were a group of 11 people - 2 families with kids aged 15-21. This was our first trip to Greece and we weren’t sure where to stay in Athens. After reading reviews, we booked this property and were so pleased we did! The location is excellent- right in the middle of Plaka, close to shopping, dining and the Acropolis. The property manager was very responsive and our check-in was easy and smooth. The house was spacious and had 2 separate kitchens, which worked well for our group. Nicely decorated and comfortable. The patio area and rooftop patio were amazing and a great place to relax. The house has 3 floors and, since we were there in July when it is very hot, the top floor would get a bit warm. The property does have fans available though, at request. Our only other issue was the hot water. Since the property is in the historical district of Athens, they are limited to using electric boilers to heat the water. This can take up to 30 minutes, which requires planning ahead. All in all, we rated this property a 5 out of 5 and will definitely stay here again when we return to Athens.

I have been renting with Vrbo for years and have always given rave reviews. I am not someone that will nitpick a property but this one is unacceptable. The third floor master bedrooms (2) and one other bedroom we uninhabitable due to the air conditioning problem. They first told me nothing was wrong with it, it just gets warmer in the afternoon due to the heat of sunset. We had our shutter closed and windows during sunset and all day but it didn’t help. We couldn’t sleep and had to move to the couches on the main level. RENTERS BEWARE IF YOUR IN ATHENS IN THE SUMMER THINK TWICE BEFORE RENTING HERE. The second time someone came he admitted there may be something wrong and they would send a technician ( didn’t come). The person who I was told to contact was away and he told me that air temperature is realative. I’m so disappointed. This was my husbands 70 birthday celebration and the culmination of our special family trip to my ansestry home country.

Response from VrboOwner on 18 Aug 2023
We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. For future renters it should be noted that there was a heatwave during your stay (AC units struggle in the high temps), and further the short notice made it impossible to despatch the AC technician (he arrived two days after you brought it to our attention and fixed the one faulty unit). So the timing was very unfortunate. On the other hand we were quick to respond to your requests, and will strive to improve in future.
Great central location to all the main local sites.
We were able to walk to all the local attractions. Several places to eat and shop in the neighborhood. Hop on and off bus stop around the corner. The owner was helpful to suggest travel arrangements from airport and ocean port.
The pictures do not do justice to this home; the top two floors of this home are fantastically grand. The view from the rooftop terrace is breath-taking. We stayed at this home in early August when outside temperatures were quite high and the several air conditioners kept the space pleasantly cool. The property manager was very responsive and accessible. And the location was excellent; short walk to several top attractions and great dining. Would absolutely stay here again.
It was most of our first time to Athens, and the location of this home could not be better! Everyone said "Go to Plaka" or "It's close to Plaka", and the fact that we were in Plaka made it so easy! Not to mention, the home is incredible! The only funky thing is the main kitchen is downstairs, but there's a smaller kitchen on the main floor, so we just used that! If I go back, I would absolutely stay at the same place again.
My family travelled to Athens on our way to Santorini to celebrate my brother and sister in laws 26th wedding anniversary. We were a group of 9 and wanted to stay somewhere that would accommodate all of us. The White House was perfect and the location was ideal as it was only steps to the Plaka shops and restaurants. One of our favorite things about the house was the lovely roof top view of the Acropolis at night. The only thing we wished were better about the house was the air conditioning on the upper level, being that it was July the upstairs was quite hot. Aside from this everything else was perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
Beautiful and spacious home in the heart of Plaka, walking distance to everything! From the time of booking and through our stay the management was very responsive to all our messages and needs. Our group of 11 truly enjoyed this property. Thank you!
We shared that house with our friends. 9 total guests. The house is in a great location with numerous restaurants and historical sites. The hospitality group who runs the home was very accommodating. The home was clean and beautiful for our stay.

Grand accommodations on a quiet street close to the heart of Athens.
The White House is as elegant in real life as the pictures. Plenty of rooms with high ceilings, two kitchens, multiple rooms in which to congregate, strong wifi, an outdoor terrace, a separate apartment, and a rooftop terrace with a view of the Acropolis all make this home remarkable. The "Ottoman plumbing" that precludes flushing toilet paper is the only minor concern.
