Walk to Arch, Stadium & Dome! 2BR/2BA Downtown Gem ready for you and your family
Gorgeous exposed brick apartment in newly restored historic 2 BR, 2BA. 5 minute walk to the Arch, 2 minute walk to convention center, 2 minute walk to the Horseshoe (Caesars) Casino, 3 minute to many restaurants, 10 minute walk to Busch Stadium.
The newly rehabbed historic building is 2 blocks to the MetroLink train that goes through downtown to the airport. 2 blocks to Eads Bridge and 3 block to the Mississippi
Built as a hotel in 1905 the historic building's full rehab was completed in fall 2024. The 2nd floor walk-up apartment features an upscale 2BR/2BA apartment with lots lots of exposed brick, original floors and new windows.
The kitchen is well organized and has high-quality cabinets, counters and appliances. It includes all you should need to have a great family experience. The (two) bathrooms are similarly organized.
We're conveniently located near most of St. Louis' top attractions only a short walk to the Arch, Busch Stadium, the dome and convention center, Horseshoe Casino, Four Seasons Hotel, Mississippi River, historic Washington Avenue and all that downtown has to offer.
We have stayed at many Airbnbs and care was given to make sure everything we enjoyed - and things we wish had been better - in our travels was thought through. We're 100% committed to you having a 5-star experience and will do all we reasonably can to ensure that happens.
If there is ANYTHING you need to ensure you have a spectacular experience, please let us know.
Guests get full use of the whole 2nd floor apartment. You'll get a door access code before your scheduled check in time.
Guests are encouraged to message us through the VRBO app but, if needed, we can be reached via phone/text or email.
We may reach out to makes sure all is in order once you arrive but will otherwise respect guests' privacy and avoid further contact except as necessary.
We're always happy to communicate with guests as they need or wish including suggestions or recommendations for things to see, do and eat. We've tried to provide that in our Guidebook but we have a list that is much more complete than what we are permitted to add via the Guidebook....
There is street parking in front of the building. It is FREE between 7pm Saturday and 8am Monday and is otherwise metered. You can use the ParkMobile App or ParkLouie App - each available on Google Play or Apple’s iTunes.
Other than parking on the street, there is a paid parking lot (not ours) immediately adjacent to the building.
To the south of the building (between the building and the Arch) is a parking lot which is (generally) $8 per day (without in/out privileges) but the lot owners bump the rates if there are big events when the lots may charge a premium rate. We have negotiated a special $10.00 all day in/out pass for that lot. Please let us know if you want that as we'll need to coordinate getting you the pass.
As we've mentioned, we are 100% committed to you having a 5-star experience and will work hard to ensure that happens. Though we've had a lot of real estate experience this is our first foray into hosting an VRBO. We've stayed at many VRBO's and have worked hard to make sure all the things we've enjoyed - as well as things we wish had been there - are covered. If there is anything you need to ensure you have a spectacular experience, please let us know and we'll do what we can to accommodate.
We hope you'll treat our apartment with the care are respect you would wish from others. This will help us provide a great experience to the next guests.
St. Louis is a great family place and we hope you enjoy your stay.

This was a great place to stay for a Volleyball Tournement weekend. 2 walking blocks to the door of the convention center, closer and cheaper than the hotels. Street parking was available right in front of place. Clean, newly remodeled place with awesome old loft character.
Great location, just minutes away from the Gateway arch. Apartment was very clean and made our stay very pleasent. Victor was very friendly and helpful
My husband and I met our college-aged daughter in St. Louis for March Madness basketball. It was conveniently located in downtown. Easily walkable. Convenient parking next door reasonably priced. Two bed and bath worked gage everyone ample room. Comfortable couch and chairs in the den. Overall, really nice.
This was a great find - spotless, comfortable and convenient access to St. Louis fun. Victor was very responsive, giving us details about parking and fun things to do in the area.
I chose this place based on proximity to the convention center as my son had a volleyball tournament. It was very convenient and spacious - very clean and communication was excellent. Would definitely choose this place again if we are back!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
The traffic noise was deafening and should probably be noted ahead of time.

Lorna, we're very disappointed to receive your 6-star review. The apartment is downtown so all the activity and energy of a large downtown is part of the environment. We do advise about this in our listing and even provide (and advise) that we have included white noise devices and fans, in case that helps. You are the only person out of more than 200 total guests to make such a complaint. We have nearly all 10-star reviews and on that other hosting platform, have 100% 5-star reivews (more than 115 reviews in a year). We wish your review would have recognized the extensive work we did to rehabilitate the historic building, exposed brick, slate floors in the bathrooms, snack basket we left. We would encourage you to choose a more rural or suburban location were you to travel to another big city
It was a little hard to find as the outside looks vacant, but once we got into the apartment, it was great. Wood floors and original brick walls gave it a great vibe. It was clean, well stocked. Property Manager was very responsive to questions. Parking was a little confusing, but we figured it out. Walking distance from the arch and multiple restaurants, a great place to stay for tourists.
LaClede's Landing is a like a movie setting. What a surprise to realize that we were staying historical St. Louis. The city is walkable and the Arch and Gateway National Park are steps away. Victor is a gracious and helpful host. The property is spacious and offers just what you need. If you are going to a conference, the convention center is four blocks down the street. We enjoyed deliciouis meals in some of the older hotels as well as great barbecue. We weren't able to fit in music at the Blues Museum; next time! And...we will be staying here. Thank you, Victor
Beautiful and historic home- great brick accents. There is an open market just a block down the street and they were amazing and told us of great things to do and there store was amazing- visit it for groceries/ beer/ fresh foods! Arch was fun! City museum-Totally not a museum- but hours upon hours of of fun if you have kids. If we are ever back is St. Louis we would hands down stay here again! Walking distance to every thing. Maybe we were just being special- but had a hard time actually finding where the apartment was- but once we did we were extremely happy with our stay! Local people helped us find it- that worked pretty much right next door- but have never noticed it- they were super nice !! Thank you, Kelly
Our family stayed here for a two day trip. The apartment is absolutely beautiful! It is very clean, smells great when you walk in, and it's very homey. The apartment lay out is great as the rooms are on the opposite end of the apartment seperated by the living room. The host is awesome and provides anything you could ever need. We cooked in the kitchen with plenty of cookware and fully stocked with dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and all of the necessities. The atmosphere was amazing from the night lights downtown to the morning hustle and bustle of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning one day! Thanks to a great host!
This VRBO location is fantastic. We had walking access to the Arch and Metro access to Busch Stadium. (Probably walkable for younger people) Plenty of great restaurants (Papy’s and Maggie’s are fantastic). The VRBO itself was clean and updated and provided us with separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Walking up to the second floor was not a problem. We had questions regarding the overnight parking when we arrived and the hosts responded and immediately assisted us in resolving our concerns. If I could make one suggestion; it would be to modify the master bedroom threshold to prevent toe stubbing.
Naketa, we're so sorry for whatever happened that resulted in a 4-star review. Out of more than 20 guests on another hosting platform you're our first guest that rated us anything but a raving 5-stars. We would be most interested to know how we could have taken better care of you and your family.
About the host
Hosted by Victor
We're from St. Louis. We've stayed in many VRBOs (and places on that other hosting platform) and worked really hard to make sure what we enjoyed most - and most missed when staying as a guest was taken care of in our places. Though new to VRBO, we have 100% perfect 5-star ratings (on that other hosting platform). It's really great to see these old buildings brought back to life and so many people really enjoying them - especially after being vacant for so many years.
Why they chose this property
We've worked on Laclede's Landing for 25 years. It is exciting to see its transformation into a residential neighborhood and we wanted to contribute to the restoration of some of these gorgeous old buildings.
What makes this property unique
The Landing is perfectly suited for those visiting St. Louis. It is walking distance from many of the city’s best attractions. It is on the train that connects downtown to many of the top attractions, the STL airport and Scott Air Force Base.
Our apartment is in a newly rehabbed historic building, originally built as a hotel. Our family chooses to stay in short term rentals from VRBO and “that other platform.” We’ve tried to think of everything you might need. As experienced short term rental guests we are often thrilled by things hosts think about and sometimes disappointed by simple things they overlook. We’re committed to you having such a time so challenge us to do all we can to ensure you have a 5-star experience.
Everything you need should be there including all the basics plus a griddle, crock-pot, cooking sheets and pans, an assortment of the most frequently used spices, and more. There is a Keurig with some coffee pods, creamers, sugar and artificial sweetener. There are some basic condiment packets in case that helps you avoid having to buy a big bottle of something when you need only a little. There are dishwasher pods in the drawer to the right of the sink.
Our second floor apartment (Suite 200) features lots of exposed brick and is beautifully decorated We have two adjacent apartments that are perfect for families that want to spread out a little or business travelers that want to stay near, but not with, fellow travelers.
