Great spot from which to enjoy Acadia National Park! The kitchen was well outfitted and although we spent little time relaxing on the porch, it was there beaconing us. The kitchen was well outfitted for simple meals and it was a few blocks to walk to town or Beal's Lobster Pound. How could you go wrong!

thank you Lydia! SO glad you enjoyed your getaway!
Arriving after dark was a bit of a challenge as the address numbers are not easily found/seen. Might be helpful if the property had a small flag/sign at the street to identify. My GPS took me to an abandoned house/property two or three doors away.

great feedback. THank you Debbie. We enjoyed hosting you!
Great location. We walked most places and took the bus into the park. The area was small but perfect for 3 of us (our daughter was on the pull out couch). Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for basic cooking and heating up of food. The street was a popular area to walk but at night, it was quiet and easy to sleep even with windows open.

Thank you, Jennifer! The three of you were great guests. Please come again sometime.
The 'host' is a property management company who does not know the property. Info sent was faulty (it's a side-apartment to a house, but doesn't say, so not clear where to enter; says driveway accommodating 2 cars except the owner says renters must parK off by the fence, not in the driveway, etc.). Also confusion around payments between VRBO and them. Hot water was out (not fixed til second day, so cold shower etc), windows didn't open, other small things. Does have a view of the harbor, but looking out over huge dumpster and dumped waste and materials. Clean, quiet at night.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the property clean and quiet at night and enjoyed the harbor view.
We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. This is a duplex, and upon arrival the guest initially went to the other side of the building. We were contacted and redirected her to the correct entrance within minutes. In the two years we have managed this property, this has not previously been an issue, but we have reviewed our arrival instructions to make them even clearer.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the loss of hot water. The issue was unexpected. While we were able to have a plumber respond promptly and resolve the problem, we recognize that being without hot water for approximately 12 hours was frustrating and not the experience we want for our guests.
There was also some confusion regarding parking and payment information, and we regret any misunderstanding. The parking instructions are provided to identify where guest vehicles should be parked.
Finally, we want to clarify the comments regarding the dumpster and “dumped waste and materials.” While there is a dumpster/service area visible from part of the property, the description of the area as containing dumped waste and materials is not an accurate representation of the property.
We take all feedback seriously and have used this stay as an opportunity to review our instructions and property information to help ensure an even better experience for future guests.
We had a very difficult time locating the property. It was late, but there were no lights on at the unit and no numbers visible to the street.I had to call the realtor who guided us to the unit. Upon entering it smelled a little musty, but once windows were open the smell wasn't so bad. Our stay was great. The owner was lovely. Just a note there is no a/c and no fans, so during warmer temps I would recommend bringing a fan. The location was perfect, close enough to Bra Harbor and the park, but far enough away to be a bit more peaceful, and you can't beat the view of the harbor from the deck. Had breakfast and happy hour out there every day.Hoping to get back up there some time in the future!

thank you for your nice review, Laurel. It was actually me (property manager) you called for help. I was happy to help you find the house. Late arrivals can be tricky! And thank you for the feedback about fans. I thought there were some there. I will be sure to add so no one needs to bring! There is usually a lovely sea breeze from the harbor. At any rate, I am happy you enjoyed your time at the house -- esp. that great deck overlooking the water!
Place was in the BEST location- we walked everywhere. Beal’s Lobster Pound was our favorite restaurant. We loved having coffee on the deck & watching the boats in the harbor. The neighbors were so kind, lots of wildlife (deer in the front yard!) The perfect getaway after hiking in Acadia everyday!

Beautiful place. Great neighbor. You should provide Hand soap in bathroom.
Communication with the host company was fantastic. Better than I’ve ever used. Check in was very easy. The owner was next door and lovely. The kitchen is well stocked and very practical for cooking. It’s an easy walk to the heart of Southwest Harbor. The only problem was the sofa bed. The mechanism is worn and uncomfortable. I slept with the couch closed with our exercise pad on it.

Acadia trip
We were told the house was 18 minutes to blackwood's campground where our family was camping. It was 30-35 depending on traffic. A little disappointing. We tried to use the grill and could not find the electric cord or where we could plug it in. I texted and no one replied. I asked the home owner and she couldn't find it either. Just letting you know to fix for next renter.
