Highly Disappointed. Needs cleaned and updated.

We were highly disappointed in our stay at this condo. We felt dirty all week. Within the first 5 minutes of arriving, our daughter’s feet had turned black from the dirty floors. We immediately covered the dingy, yellowed furniture with sheets to sit on. The ceilings have black dirt in front of the rusted, possibly molded vents. If a surface is able to be rusted in this condo, you can just about bet it is. The shower heads were so rusted, it was appalling. Our son’s swim shirt got a rust stain from a bathroom hook. The baseboards were dirty and busted, sheets had stains, bathtubs are old and dirty, oven has been there since the 70’s, and there were bugs flying around the kitchen. Also, we flew there and had hoped there would be beach supplies, but all we found were rusted, broken chairs and a rusted umbrella. The ice machine, door bell, multiple outlets, and WiFi didn’t work. We definitely would not recommend this condo until it is cleaned and updated. Pictures attached to show some of our concerns. It would only allow 8, but there is so much more.

Jeremy - Thanks for your feedback. My wife and I take great pride in our condo and appreciate all suggestions to improve the stay of our guests. Our guests are typically overwhelmingly pleased with our condo and return each year for weeks on end. In response to your comments (posted yesterday) we have already taken the following steps: yesterday we ordered four new beach chairs and two umbrellas. They will be here today for our guests that arrive later today. With regards to chairs/umbrellas, it is unfortunate that guests routinely take the chairs we purchase, they break the chairs, or simply leave them on the beach when they depart the premises ... it is a frequent need and we replace them as soon as we become aware they are deficient. I spoke with the Onsite Property Managers earlier today and learned that you never voiced any concerns to them about any matter during your stay. The Onsite Property Managers verified that all outlets are working properly. The condo complex was constructed in 2003 so the oven is from 2003, and not the 1970's. I agree it is old, but it is working fine. During the last few years we replaced the fridge, microwave, and the stackable washer/dryer. As soon as the oven fails that too will be replaced the very same day. The Onsite Property Manager confirmed that one air return has some rust on its frame and that will be addressed. The onsite Property Managers could not confirm any issues with the baseboards or hooks in the bathroom. We were not aware there might have been issues regarding the cleanliness of the floors, but today we placed an order with the cleaners to acid wash the tile floors and steam clean the furniture in the living room (they did this same work earlier this year so I am surprised they might be dirty again so soon). I am not sure what you refer to regarding "yellow furniture" since our couch is blue/white and the large chair is light green. In closing, the ice maker is fine and you just needed to push the ice button on the fridge to begin making ice. I sincerely wish you had voiced your concerns earlier so that we could have addressed them during your stay.
