Well appointed cabin. Owners thought about everything! The firepit was ready to go(we didn’t get to use it due to rain). Nice touches all around. Very clean, family friendly and not far from Castleton University. Host was super!

We had a wonderful stay at Hortonia Lake. The cabin was lovely and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very nice (always important). Communication with Todd and Rene was very easy. We are already planning a return trip next summer and will definitely stay here - no need to look for a different place - this was perfect. Thanks Todd and Rene!

We had a wonderful stay at Todd & Rene’s place. They were great and attentive hosts and couldn’t ask for anything more. Very quiet and comfortable cottage. The beach area is fantastic with every amenity you could ask for….. kayaks, canoes, floats and comfortable chairs. The eagles were incredible as well as the loons. Will come and stay again for sure!

I just returned from a five night stay. Everything was perfect from check in to check out. The property is in an awesome location. The house and outside sitting areas are quiet and private. The lake was perfect. The hosts are very communicative and accommodating. Our group has already been discussing returning to the same location next year.

This property is a hidden gem! We loved the cottage, plus the boathouse area and dock. The lake was very quiet with just a few boats during the day. The family of eagles was a special sight!We appreciated the golf cart to take items back and forth from the lake, and made good use of the paddle board and inflatables. The lawn area was also very nice for playing frisbee.The grill at the cottage was very clean and worked well. We enjoyed meals on the back deck, and saw lots of hummingbirds at the feeder near the front screened porch.Everything was super clean when we arrived. The cottage was well stocked and there wasn’t a single thing we needed that they didn’t have. We were definitely impressed with the attention to details!Overall this was the perfect place for our vacation. The listing is accurate and the hosts are very welcoming and generous.We plan on returning, hopefully soon!
