About this property
5-min walk to Downtown Olympia and Capital Lake, 4br, sleeps 10
This home is a 5-minute walk to downtown Olympia with vibrant shopping and dining experiences. Situated above Budd Inlet, this home looks out across the bay and the lake. One can also enjoy views of the mountain and the Washington State capital building from the oversized Victorian windows.
There is plenty of space for groups and family get togethers. Sleeping arrangements can accommodate 3 couples (6 adults) plus a kid-friendly bedroom with 4 additional twin beds (for 4 kids or adults).
Fully stocked kitchen with a breakfast nook and an outdoor grill make short work of prepping great meals to enjoy our time away.
Tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac with a private, fenced yard AND centrally located, you can enjoy the best of both worlds here: a secluded get-away with easy access to dining and shopping in the artsy and historic downtown Olympia and shoreline/lakefront trails full of wildlife viewing opportunities.
This 4-bedroom, majestic, and whimsical home was one of the first homes built in Olympia in the 1800s. Originally built by J.M. Overhulse, a master plaster/mason, it retains unique architectural features. Lovingly referred to by locals as ‘The Purple House’.
Bedroom 1 (upstairs) has a king-size bed with a 9-inch mattress, a smart tv, and dresser. Off of Bedroom 1 is a separate room with an oversized soaking clawfoot tub/shower.
Bedroom 2 (downstairs) has a queen-size bed with an 8-inch mattress that converts into a futon couch, and a TV.
Bedroom 3 (upstairs) has a full-sized captain’s bed with a 10-inch mattress and a desk. Please note that this bed is quite high with the top of the mattress at 3-feet 2-inches above the floor and may require using a step or chair to access.
Bedroom 4 (upstairs) has two bunk beds (4 single beds) with 4-inch mattresses, as well as toys and kids books.
There are two full bathrooms. Bathroom 1 is downstairs and has a toilet, sink, and tub/shower combo. Bathroom 2 is upstairs and has a toilet, sink, and tub (no shower). Off Bedroom 1 is a third bathtub that can also be used as a shower.
Separate dining room off kitchen with bay windows and seating for 8 people and a living room with cozy places to lounge or enjoy a board game.
Balcony on second floor and two covered porches on main floor.
Large, private, fenced yard with a picnic table and play structure.
The driveway accommodates 4 cars and there is plenty of free street parking.
