MI Wine Trail - Tiny Cabins - Big Experiences - up to 28 people!

Please note - price in this listing is for rental of all 6 cabins (full property).

There are 6 cabins on the 1 acre property of Harbor Country Cabins. Our resort offers a unique lodging and event location in the center of Harbor Country, near Southwest Michigan’s premiere destination for beaches, breweries, wineries, dining and summer fun.
Our property can hold up to 28 people. This is a great space for retreats, family gatherings, weddings, reunions - just about any gathering you can think of where you want people to be together!

4 of the cabins have 2 queen bunk beds to hold 4 people max. 2 of the cabins have an additional twin bunk bed to hold 6 people max. All cabins have a mini-refrigerator, a ceiling fan, a light, electrical outlets for your electronics and include linens. Note - there is no daily cleaning or daily linen changing service during your stay. The smaller cabins are approximately 96 sqft. The larger cabins are approximately 136 sqft. There is also wireless internet available throughout the property. Note there is no air conditioning in the cabins.

Outside the French doors of each cabin is a screened in porch where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors while sipping on a morning cup of coffee from our shared kitchen. There is also a number of picnic tables around the property as well as a propane grill available in our Grillzebo.
The property includes an ornamental pond, a fire pit, a shared kitchen, and 4 private bathrooms to choose from. There is a shower, toilet and sink in each bathroom. A set of fresh towels are provided to you apon check-in. In the shared kitchen is a full sized refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, blender, utensils and other items to help make your stay enjoyable. There is also a large 'common area' where you can setup volleyball, play croquett, or just lounge and relax.

Great place

Stayed here for my wedding weekend and loved it. Cabin sizes were spacious, size of the property was large, the bathrooms and showers were well kept and clean. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Close to several beaches.

Great Family Get-Away

The cabins were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The grill was ready for action and the Tiki Hut was adorable. We appreciate the availability of firewood, chairs, and yard games. We had a wonderful time.

So Much Fun!

My sister hosted my bachelorette party here and we all had a BLAST! The cabins were comfortable and clean, bathrooms were awesome! (Showers were suprisingly big and had really good pressure - a huge plus for 10+ women) It was a super convenient location for exploring the wineries and the nearby town. We ended up deciding that this area was like a budget Door County trip with the lake, wineries, and hotels nearby! Would absolutely rent this property again with friends!

Unique experience

Our group of extended family enjoyed our stay at Harbor County Cabins. The cabins were cozy, comfortable and clean. Kitchen is well stocked. The cabins are close to a busy road, but we found that the traffic noise calmed at night, and the property is landscaped for privacy. Overall, a fantastic weekend.

Great property and location

We had a big group- 6 families with kids ranging from 3 years to 9. We all had the best time! Even though the property is right off a main road it still feels secluded. Great Wi-Fi, everything we needed in both the kitchen and the shed. Everyone loved the random kitschy decorations and the cabins were awesome. There is a park with a great playground right across the street and we were 5-15 minutes from every place we needed. We would love to return again!

Perfect family group getaway

We rented the entire property for a week. We had four families of 5. Our kids ages ranged from 1-8. This was the perfect space for a large group of multiple families. There was personal space for all the adults and the kids had space to not only play outdoors but also the shared cabins for “sleepovers”. We had a great time and it was especially nice with the Covid situation that we could still gather, but also maintain some responsible distance. If you have a large group of people and like camping this is a wonderful gathering spot.

Great family weekend

We had our annual family weekend there. My in-laws, 5 families with kids stayed, in the cabins. There was more than enough space for the crowd. Everyone enjoyed the freedom of having our own bunk space with the common area of the yard and campfire. The kitchen was small but I really liked the outdoor bar and the tables set up across the property. There is no stove or oven so plan accordingly. Overall a great space and highly recommend it. The location by Warren Dunes is ideal!! Best beach in Michigan.

Great experience

We rented the whole place and the kids had a blast. The cabins were hot but they did provide some fans also. That would be the only downside but it does cool off at night and I slept fine. We made breakfast on the grill using skillets provided in the kitchen

Family “camping” trip

As a family we have been camping in Michigan for 15+ years and it was great no to have to pitch tents for a change. Place is really nice and comfortable. We loved our stay and we are planning to go back next year!

Great location and property, with one minor exception

We stayed at the Harbor Country (Tiny) Cabins for four nights over the July 4 weekend with our three grown kids, their spouses and our nine grandkids (ranging in age from 8 months to eleven years). It is a great property, with lots of room for the kids to run around and play. The proximity to Warren Dunes State Park is terrific. It is also a short drive to New Buffalo, with its shopping and restaurants. The cabins themselves worked out well, giving us plenty of space to gather outside while still giving each couple and their kids their own indoor space. There is also a nice city park across the street, complete with a fenced-in dog park. The only item potential renters should be aware of, though, is the proximity of the property to railroad tracks on which +/- two trains travel per day. On one of the nights, a train went by at 2 AM and blew its whistle repeatedly while close to the property, waking some (not all) of the adults but, thankfully, none of the kids. One of the big bright spots was how well the property is stocked with kitchenware and lawn toys/games. We have rarely been on a property that required the renters to bring so little aside from clothes.

Great place for the whole family!

We had my whole family stay at the property for a wedding weekend and it was fabulous! Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend but the cabins kept us dry, the screened in porches were fabulous, and just the overall yard space was perfect. You’re off a busy road but you’d never know with the way it is set up. We hope to be back!

Excellent getaway for socially-distanced fun

This spot was an excellent way to get a group of friends together for a weekend. The outdoor space and fresh air were great, since we had good weather, and the amenities brought all the fun of camping without any of the sacrifices. One thing to note: there is no stove/oven, and the propane grill just doesn't get hot enough to use a cast-iron skillet. I recommend using the small charcoal grills by the shed for any pan-based meals.

Loved our stay at Harbor Country Cabins! The facilities were great, lots of room for the kids to play and lots to do close by. It was a great place to have relax and unwind. The only thing we didn't love was being so close to a busy road. I wish the fence went along the front of the property more

Great spot for a family reunion

We had a fantastic week here! The property exceeded expectations. We had 9 children from 3 years to 16 years and they had so much fun running around instead of being locked in on devices. The property is right on the highway, therefore a good amount of road noise, but it did not take away from the overall experience. There are so many activities close by to enjoy it would be hard to get bored. The owner is fantastic. Very responsive, had great suggestions for things to do in the area and was there to fix a minor problem in one of the cabins very quickly. Would highly recommend this place - have already done so to friends.

Retreat in Sawyer

We visited this property to lead a group retreat. It was a great setting for this. It was a nice mix of camping with great amenities (kitchen, large grill, nice bathrooms, fans etc.). The kitchen was well stocked with different items you might need during your stay. The listing was very accurate and it was just as we expected when we arrived. We loved how close the property was to Warren Dunes.

Had 24 guys and couldn't be happier with the experience at the cabins. The accommodations were clean and very well organized/maintained. Only thing I was worried about that could have been problematic was rain - seeing as it is an outdoor social area. Luckily didnt have to worry about that and weather was great. Prefect place for a family reunion

I have always loved vacationing in the SW Michigan area and when presented an opportunity to own a piece of it - I just had to do it! So in early 2017 I was able to make the property my own. I look forward in having many years of success with my business in the beautiful land of SW Michigan.

Why they chose this property

This property is SUPER unique. I like to think of it as the fun-ness of camping, but with the luxury of have an actual bed and 4 walls to sleep in. Some might call it Glamping. Also, the added bonus of spa-like bathrooms isn't too shabby!! I think the icing on the cake is the opportunity to use the shared kitchen so you can actually prep and make meals if you wish.

This property is great for groups who like to go camping, but have those few people who don't like to go because of the sleeping outdoors aspect. This property gives you all the great things about being outside (space to play games, mingle, and roast marshmallows over the fire pit) but the modern conveniences of being able sleep in a normal bed, use a normal bathroom and store items in a refrigerator.
