Thank you for a relaxing stay! Great nearby park/neighborhood for dog-walking. Snowbowl is close-by for a day of hiking and taking in the scenery. Julie is very hospitable and willing to help with whatever you may need!
The location was great - good access to hiking trails and just a short drive to the downtown, historic area. The place was filled with lots of amenities, including a spacious kitchen.

Sweet, generous host with a beautiful garden, a 3 minute walk to a park & serene neighborhood trails.
I rented this property for my daughter while she was in Flagstaff for a wilderness first responder training. It was a cozy place for her to stay after long training days. It was very close to the training location but also very easy to get around other places. She had everything she needed and was happy with the host and the property.
Julie was just so wonderful, bringing us a bouquet of flowers from her awesome garden and being so warm and helpful. She has a library in side of resources for the surrounding area which we found very helpful in getting to know our new home.We highly recommend this stay! Our dog was happy too!
Julie was great. This is the perfect property if you are looking for a cozy getaway for 2 people. Julie is not only responsive but also accommodating to all of our needs. would stay again 10/10

She is pet friendly but you cant leave your pet to go to dinner or anything. Pets cannot be left alone at any time.
This property was okay. Only issue is that are unable to use more than one item in the kitchen at a time, or a fuse is blown. Also, had a couple of spiders. Owner is very nice and accommodating by letting us use an extension cord and wine opener. Shower works fine, but very old. Great for our dog as the park was just down the street and had great walking trails.
A delightful space convenient to all Flagstaff area attractions while in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. Great urban hiking trails accessed just a couple blocks away. Julie is a thoughtful host and offers a wealth of information on the local history and things to see. The house is surrounded with her flourishing gardens, which give the feeling of a true retreat. Highly recommend and will return!
I am a third generation native of Flagstaff, Arizona. My grandparents, Swedish immigrants, arrived in Flagstaff in 1909. I am an avid gardener and local historian. I write books on gardening and Arizona Pioneer History. I enjoy train travel, writing, and by far my most expensive hobby is having fun with my 4 children, their spouses, and 11 grandchildren! Six years ago I turned two back bedrooms into a suite, Mountain Paradise. I LOVE hosting! It has been so much fun. I enjoy a variety of guests and love sharing my home and hometown.
Why they chose this property
This is a quiet neighborhood off of Hwy 180 close to skiing in the winter and hiking in the other seasons. The views are beautiful.
What makes this property unique
The entire yard is alive with a variety of beautiful flowers from early spring through fall. The property adjoins the Rio De Flag, a city easement with runs through Cheshire. Deciduous and evergreen trees, shrubs, and flowers thrive with a seasonal spring, creating a lush riparian environment. You will enjoy the many and varied birds which call the Rio home. Deer are common visitors and bed down in the Rio each night.
