Hideaway cabin

Great secluded location with great views of the valley below. Cabin is very spacious and very comfortable. Great location for a getaway into nature with no neighbors or noise. Location is central to a lot of natural attractions but travel is required for every thing, plan accordingly. This was not an issue for us, that was exactly what we wanted. Cabin and amenities exactly as described and more.

Wonderful secluded cabin with everything you need supplied

Just take yourself, clothes and food and enjoy the relaxing setting. Loved this cabin and would stay again. Included linens, hot tub, firewood, and easy checkout instructions. Would highly recommend. Owners were extremely helpful.

Very accommodating and great owners!

The property was very nice and the house had everything we needed....even the coffee I forgot! 🤣 The hot tub was a great addition as well as the Christmas tree set up for the holidays!

Hideaway in the Woods

Very clean with everything one would need. HotSeneca Rock, Horseback riiding at Yokum's, fishing the North Fork of the South Potomac and other small lakes and trout streams. Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob, Blackwater Falls and the Potomac Eagle train excursion. A great place to strat your adventures!

Amazing place to get away!

My friends and I stayed for a few days for a girls trip to get away, and we absolutely loved the property! The house was clean, and even nicer than we expected! The area is beautiful, and we did lots of hikes and swimming in the nearby South Branch Potomac river. We were also super grateful that the house had wifi, because we did not have reception in most places.

We had booked our trip way back in February. Got up to time to leave and there was rain all over the place! The cabin met, and exceeded, our expectations. 10/10 would recommend!

Take me Home Country Roads

This is a great remote place to stay if you don't wanna be around crowded area and enjoy the outdoors like we do. Our party of family and friends add an extra day onto our trip every time we book the Hideaway Cabin now. It just never seems like we have enough time there. Fishing and sight seeing are great.

Great Getaway

What a great place. Very quaint. Clean and cozy. Backs up to national forest which is great for hikes. Trout fishing literally two minutes away. Caverns and scenic views very close. We will be back!!! Thanks for being great hosts. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of exploring. It was a wonderful anniversary for us... A tradition we would like to continue at your place!

Great little getaway

This was a perfect place for us to stay. We climbed Nelson Rock, visited Swilled Dog Cidery (twice!!), hiked North Mountain, and biked from the house to/from Big Bend Campground. We were able to bring our dog and it was great to have a place to stay where she could run free with us watching her from the porch. The property felt private and secluded in the woods without being real far away from the activities that we wanted to do. We loved having the hot tub to relax in after our long days of hiking, climbing, and biking! Overall, a clean, comfortable house that we would love to visit again. Next time we will stay longer and bring fishing poles!

Relaxing!

The cabin was well kept and well stocked. The hot tub was just what we needed and we made great s'mores over the fire. We will definitely come back! The owners were super friendly and responsive when we accidentally locked our car keys in the cabin. Oops! We also appreciated the recommendation to drive down Smoke Hole Road. Beautiful drive. Sad to go back to reality but we'll return!

Amazing!

Was looking for a scenic place in the mountains to get away from the city life and enjoy nature. This rental was wonderful! The view from the fire pit area was phenomenal. The house was impecably clean and very cozy. Rhona and Carroll were super friendly and helpful! They came by to make sure we had everything we needed during a snowfall and even plowed and shoveled the snow from entry ways so we were able to get to the car safely. Located near a national park so there are plenty of trails to enjoy! We will definitely be brining friends and family there in the summer!

Very nice place to stay. But you are very unplugged. And not much to do..but that can be nice.

Very nice place! I loved all the space we had. We all had our private areas to go at bedtime. Loved having 2 bathrooms. Something I don't get at home. The hot tub was very nice.I loved having a washer and dryer, especially with a hot tub. Clean dry swim stuff every time we wanted to get in. Also unlike a usual trip where you take a huge amount of dirty clothes home, I took home suitcases of clean,ready to put away clothes. I bought a small jug of detergent at the Family Dollar and a small box of dryer sheets, the perect amount, and I did a good bit of loads with that. And it allowed me to get the home owners started on the bedsheets, I had all the towels we used washed and put away. I also loved being able to bring our 2 boxers. And I know they loved coming with us. They were very comfortable there. They had everything we needed. For cooking, bedding, and towels. The only complaints would be no wifi, and I know we are there to get away, but I google everything. ..what is there to do, nearest store, what can we do on the way home, directions, etc. Also we couldn't stay in touch with our families at home..at all. They did give us fair warning that At&t is best, but you're not gonna change your service for 1 trip. There is some beautiful sight seeing but other than that....NOTHING. which is ok if you don't want to do anything, and just be there to hang out. But we had 4 drizzly ugly days so maybe a shopping day or something would have been nice. They did have 1 nice gift shop and 1 nice little gift type store with really friendly workers. One other tiny thing was, usually I've only interacted with cabin owners IF we paid them cash. (They was already paid in full over website) homeowner showed up two times, I did not meet him. I was at the store the first time, my kids met him, and down stairs the second, I heard he was friendly, but I almost felt like we was being checked on. Maybe we shouldn't of felt that way, but we've rented many cabins throughout the years and never had that happen. But he did let us know if we got ice on the deck he would come take care of it. I'm sure it would have been nicer if we had nicer weather to be in the yard or sit on the deck. Also we made a wrong turn (no Google map to go by) it took an hour out of day, but one benefit was we saw a beautiful owl. The only wildlife we saw. But it was exciting. Again if you want to sit around the cabin and do nothing, or read a book, and stay out of touch- perfect.

Our second stay at this location, and would not trade it for anything. Absolute must if you want seclusion, and easy fishing access. Bit of a drive to restaurants, but the beauty of driving over the mountain cannot be topped.
