Location was ideal, close to everything restaurants, shopping plaza & San Francisco. Host and neighbors were very thoughtful in telling us where to park on street cleaning days. Owners' daughter was sweet in tell us about the daily morning fog - very sweet. Place was reasonable for our visit.

Easy check in, clean, nearby shops and ocean and the host responds quickly to any needs. Be mindful that it is on street parking so first come, first served. And don’t forget to turn your wheels when you park (I got a ticket). ;) and bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper because you are below the homeowner. It was a perfect fit for our visit!

We had a nice stay at this little apartment for a 3 day short weekend getaway. It was only a 5 minute (drive) from two different extremely beautiful areas over looking the water (mussel rock and Thornton beach) where there are very unique hiking trails down to the water. There’s a donut place our kids said were the best donuts they ever had (royal donut) and a shopping area with plenty of options for groceries etc.The apartment is conveniently only about 20 minutes from the airport so it was an easy drive back.Inside the apartment we loved that there were 2 bathrooms and the twin beds were on the opposite side of the apartment so our kids who were awake later than us didn’t keep us awake in the other room on our side of the apartment. Wouldn’t recommend for a very long term stay because there was no laundry and no oven/stove. However, there was a full size fridge and a little two burner thing to cook food so we were happy there were cooking utensils and pots and pans and the 2 burners. The street parking was easy and there were always plenty of spots. The bed and comforter were comfortable. The only 2 negatives for us: 1. there was no TV in our room (only one by the kids) and 2. no thermostat in the unit so after a couple days of being way too hot we messaged the host and they quickly replied that the thermostat is upstairs, they had it shut off, and that helped SO much. Great location, easy, very nice host.-family with 2 adults 2 kids

Loved the location, easy street parking. Had nice amenities, tea kettle, electric burners and microwave. Lots of space but layout different than most, winding hall from one bedroom to living room.

The only reason we could not give you all 5 is the floor layout.1. It was not obvious that the kitchen and eating areas not connected, the floor plan is not clearly layout.2. There are too many steps within the unit; the entrance steps inside is going down immediately, quite dangerous to guests, especially first time step in. These are safety concerns. But we also know there is not an easy way to fix it. The large bedroom also has a step down floor, took guests a while to get used to it.Other than the layout, we don't have other concerns.It was easy to reach the manager and get info, etc. We did enjoy our stay!

The property was decent overall, but several issues made the stay less comfortable than expected. Although the listing described the property as newly renovated, the interior felt dated, and the cleanliness did not meet the standard suggested by the reviews.Upon entering, there was a noticeable mildew smell, which was also present on the bed sheets. The towels had visible stains. In addition, the shower near the kitchen did not drain properly. Even after removing the drain cover, water accumulated above my feet while showering. This was a significant inconvenience and an issue that should be addressed. The towels provided had stains, so I requested additional towels from the owner. He informed me that he was out of town and suggested that I take the towels to a nearby laundromat. As a result, I was left without a convenient option for obtaining clean replacement towels during my stay. Guests planning to stay for several days may want to bring their own towels. The room was also cold, and noise from upstairs was easily heard throughout the rental. Footsteps, children running, and yelling were audible early in the morning and late at night. While some noise is to be expected in a shared building, the lack of sound insulation may be an issue for guests who value a quiet environment. Trash collection was another disruption. During my stay, the trucks arrived at approximately 4 a.m., and the noise and flashing lights woke me up. Guests may want to keep this in mind.
