First the good: beautiful spot right on a huge lake. The bad: would have been nice to know that there were no sheets for the bed, dish towels or towels for the bathroom. Also nothing but 2 pieces of wood for the stove or instructions for those unfamiliar with using. Only cold water and had to push buttons to get water….the pump was pretty noisy and would wake others if used at night. Loft bedroom which is not ideal for those having to go to the bathroom at night..the ladder could hv used grab handles at the top for transitioning to the top floor. Of course no electricity…not that I expected that. Even if the stove was usable for me I am sure it would hv taken hours to heat the place up. A list of things to bring would hv been helpful. When I called the owner he told me that if sheets had been provided it would have required they be washed and there was no washer or dryer. I wondered if he lives far away wouldn’t he have someone as a caretaker who could do those things? So basically this was a hard covered tent with cold water. Bring your own food, bring your sheets, extra blankets , or sleeping bags. Get coffee from the Irving station about a mile away.
