Understood this was solar powered and hosts instructed to conserve energy, so I didn’t use one bit of energy until finally it was too dark to read my book. I turned on a light and went to make one of the complimentary bags of microwave popcorn and the power immediately went out. Went out to use the generator, followed the instructions to the letter, power wouldn’t stay on. Contacted the host and they said they’d send “someone” (not them) to the house with gas for the generator. Why wasn’t it full before I checked in if the power is that tenuous?? I’m not going to sit in a remote spot in the woods by myself waiting for some random person to show up. I’ve seen enough true crime documentaries to know better than that. I left after 3 hours and stayed at a hotel. Ridiculous.
Such a charming and cozy tiny house! Super clean, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches. Perfect for a relaxing getaway and just a short drive to Old Orchard Beach- highly recommend!
The space was beautiful! We had a delicious dinner in Saco, then settled into Carley's tiny home, and got ready to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower. Every detail was thought of and the home was so well done! We could have stayed another evening, easily. We will likely return to this gem!
Very nice place but beware of some things with this Tiny Home. Almost ended my stay with the first step into the home. Need a "watch your step" sign as you enter. Directions for use of generator were not stated in listing, also no gas in can to refill, generator was not full at check in either. Directions for operating the house were confusing. If you plan on sleeping in one of the top beds be careful if you are older. Grandma and Grandpa should not be staying here from the generator to sleeping areas. Would be nice to use outside but the black flies put you back inside quickly.

Genius design but not practical for all
Overall, this was a cool place to stay so do not get the wrong impression. We arrived after dark, so the instructions were pretty good to get back to the house but it was very dark and not well lit and we weren't really sure if we were in the right spot or not. I probably should have read the description better, but it is definitely a "small house" and really does not have bedrooms but instead a pair or lofts and a pullout couch system. The house was very hot when we arrived, and I was unable to get the air conditioner to work; there was an instruction book left by owner, but it was not completely clear on what was required. I called the property owner but we did not hear back until the next morning when we heard this generator kick on and my phone ringing. Gentleman was very nice, apologetic but I let him know we were leaving soon so we did not need it. Opened the windows and the house did cool down. I will say, if you are eldery, overweight, or afraid of heights, this place might not be suitable. My wife and I agreed it was a cute place, decorated well, and had a sweet deck we used, and an outdoor fire pit we did not use. Was a cool place to stay but I don't know that would be our first choice again.
Amazing off grid tiny house. Amazing views of the woods, fire pit, close to town. We are from Montana and gave stayed in some cool tiny homes but this the best one. Than you.
It was a privilege to have the opportunity to experience this truly amazing property. First of all, the tiny house was immaculate, and every available space was utilized perfectly. The outdoor space was so comfortable, I spent every morning on the deck reading, and we spent every evening around the fire pit. The boys explored the woods around the creek and I cooked three meals a day in that tiny kitchen! It’s hard to believe that four of us were so comfortable, but it is a testament to the hosts who just intuitively knew how to make a tiny house feel comfortable. There is a TV, though we turned it on only once to watch a movie in the evening. Otherwise, this property begs you too, turn off your brain and relax. While I would love to gate, keep it for myself, I think everyone should know about it and be able to experience the amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail put into every corner here. We are already planning a trip in the fall and this winter. I want to experience every season here.
After a looong drive, it was a pleasure to land in our cozy tiny home cove. Carley’s cabin made a perfect home base—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The amenities were excellent, and it’s easy to forget you’re actually off the grid!Although we didn’t get a chance to use it, the outdoor patio is a beautifully put-together space and would be a great spot for gathering or relaxing.Carley was incredibly helpful when we ran into a few small issues and gave us some great tips for off-the-grid living. Highly recommend!
