Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway with a large fenced in area for the pups. Transformed back to its original purpose, as a getaway cottage for escaping the hustle and bustle of the City, it’s designed as true Adirondack Mountain getaway over looking Lake Champlain. We are 1 block from the Harmony Golf Club, (the Harmon Family was one of the past owner's), 1 block from Port Kent train station and beach, 4 min from AuSable Chasm, 45 min from Whiteface Mnt. and Lake Placid. This is a year-round modern 700+ sf cabin, with all new appliances and exquisite furniture design in an original Adirondack style. We have tried to provide all necessary kitchen utensils and gadgets, provide free coffee for your enjoyment, all types of spices, Keurig and coffee maker, and a large variety of coffee flavors. The bedroom has a lock and features a Queen size comfortable bed, a TV , and a large closet for your luggage. Extra blankets and pillows are available on site. The living room has an extra sleeper sofa for two people, and there are two more sofas around the wood stove. There’s also a smart TV there and large space to unwind, read, or play games. The living room has a propane furnace and a powerful AC. We provide the wood for the stove (in the outside shed) but beware, this little Vermont Castings stove pumps out the heat. The corner of the living room also boasts a gaming table. We have provided some board games, chess set and playing cards for your stay. We do not have a bath tub, only a rustic looking style shower, and we provide high end washing supplies. The back yard has one acre fenced lawn for pups and you, including a brand new pavilion with grill and seating, and a fire pit for your enjoyment. The beach is one block down the street. We have a strong wifi for your needs, especially if you plan to work remotely. You may see deer on the way to the cottage, hear birds singing in the trees, and pick up berries or apples on the property. We just added a 3-car parking space on the side of the property. We are 5 minutes away if you need anything, so you have the whole space and yard for yourself. This is a no smoking inside, no shoes in the house so, we provide slippers for our guests. After booking with us, we’ll send you an welcome message with links to local attractions and facilities. And we are one call away to make sure you have the greatest time!
Other things to note We live three miles away so we are available if you need anything.

Thank You Mark! Your complements are appreciated and I look forward to your return!
I can’t say enough great things about this place. My fiancé and I stayed with our two dogs over the long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. From the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, to the fenced in yard for our boys to roam about, to the warmth and beauty of the cottage and proximity to local attractions, the ferry, the lake, etc. We had the opportunity to meet Dale and have a quick word, and the care they show for both the cottage and their guests is appreciated. We’ll be back!!

Thank you for the great review, I try my best to provide a great experience for all of my guests. It makes my day when I know that my guests are happy.
The host is very responsive and thorough, easy to get ahold of. The property is beautiful with plenty of personal touches that make the place a “home away from home”. The property is clean, well tended, and well kept. The fenced in area for the dogs was the deciding factor for us and we were so happy with our decision. We found plenty of hiking trails within a short drive and loved taking the dogs to the local beach. Highly recommend staying here

Disliked: Communication
When we arrived for our weekend stay the cottae was locked. We could not enter nor did we have any means of contacting the cottage owner.
There was no information given to us that would allow us entry. He did not provide any inforation in adance.
We arrived wit5h a six and seven year old childrent, after driving almost seven hour and 'there was no place at the inn.'
We will not pay any bill the owner tries to charge to our credit card.
