Tranquil Waters Retreat

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space on Lake Sara with beautiful lake views. With plenty of space across two floors, kids can enjoy their own space with TVs and games while the adults relax upstairs.

Lake Sara is located near Effingham, IL and offers boating, fishing and swimming. The home is only eight (8) minutes drive from town, and just inside a cove so the lake views are fantastic but not on the main body where the waves can be quite big. There is a boat dock where you can park a boat and we have kayaks and water toys for guests to can use.

Beautiful house and lake setting. Close enough to town to pickup supplies or go out to eat. Gas grill on deck worked great. Our family reunion worked well there. It was a good central location for those living in different areas of Illinois. 3 very nice bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. Plenty of space to spread out and do your own thing if desired. We did not have time to use the hot tub or game table. Kitchen big enough to cook most of our meals together. We really enjoyed our time there. Nothing bad to say. Would definitely recommend

This property was fabulous! It was the perfect location with the perfect amount of space to visit with family over the weekend and celebrate family. We will definitely stay here again if our travels allow it and we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful quiet property with plenty of room.

Was very nice, easy to locate, clean, spacious....hot tub was not working which was disappointing and boat dock needs work and new lumber. Overall it was a very nice place to stay!

Tranquil Waters Retreat was perfect for our two-family getaway! The home is beautifully decorated, spotless, and stocked with everything we needed. We loved the bonus game room with ping pong and board games, and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for everyone to relax. The lake views were gorgeous and made our stay so peaceful. Truly an ideal spot for making memories—we’d definitely come back!

We love our lake house because it feels peaceful and secluded with lots of natural shade and beautiful lake views from most rooms. It is also only a few minutes from town so it's very convenient. The neighborhood is fantastic for evening walks and bike rides.

What makes this property unique

Our lake house is the ideal vacation retreat with plenty of space and lots of things to do on the water and around the lake. Every guest will find something they enjoy doing and the group will make fantastic memories.
