Quick trip

Condo is in a great location 90 second walk to the beach and far enough from the road that traffic noise won't bother you. The condo is quite spacious, bed is comfortable. The people in the office are friendly and helpful.

Great location and friendly atmosphere

The location of this complex is wonderful. Kam III is the perfect beach and you can walk to town or resorts. Unit has not been updated but it has everything you need! (Though I don’t understand the carpet decision).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We received s welcome call first night we got there. Area is Beautiful and great for kids and couples! If you are big parties, drinkers, this is not your place to stay. At 0830 in morning by lower pool, they’ll go over fun things to do if you’re interested. There is also Auntie Snorkels who hooked us up with intro scuba diving. Talk to Scotty. Tell him Jodi and Amber sent you. Webby has a booth down from condos. He will tell you about deals too and very transparent. Sen sei sushi place is good but over priced. Paying for atmosphere. However, it’s still good sushi.Enjoy! I would stay at this location again and in this area again.

Could use extra lamp for bedroom and a few hooks in bathroom plus toilet paper holder. Beach cupboard needs new chairs plus kids equipment. The complex is great with well maintained grounds, etc.

Pools and barbecues are great!Our unit was very dated. I read in the comments that is was supposed to have been updated last summer, but that is definitely not the case. The living room furniture was very dirty and smelled awful. We contacted the office regarding this and they had furniture cleaners come in and clean it.

Hale Kamaole unit 123

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying at Hale Kamaole and have stayed here often. We always tell our friends that this is the best place to stay. We have always stayed in different units and were disappointed with unit 123. It was tidy and clean enough but well used. The sofa was so dirty I put towels on top to sit on and it smelled bad. The tub looked like it was well used and doesn't get clean anymore no matter how much you scrub. The amenities in the unit were very basic. No plastic cups to take to the pool although no glass is allowed in the pool area. Dishes were minimal although there was an awesome new set of pots and pans. Bed and pillows were comfy. Overall, the unit needs to be updated. The toilet was old and noisy and the taps were old. You needed two hands to pull the shower tap on. On the positive side, the unit has the best view of everything going on around you. Could watch the sunset from the grass and could see whales from the patio! Amazing! A short walk to the beach. An easy walk to stores and restaurants. The grounds are always so well looked after. We even discovered that they have security guards at night, but we've always felt safe. Everything around us was spectacular except the unit.

Sweet little spot with a view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A great location for my young family. We stay on a ground floor unit and enjoyed the easy come and go from the garden Lani. The kitchen was well stocked, and plenty of beach towels, boogie boards and beach chairs for us to use. We didn't deal with the management staff at all since there was a key code for the door which I receive before arriving. This was very convenient. There was limited dishwasher and landary detergent (toilet paper and paper towel as well). I had enough in my unit, but if you run out they do not provide anymore. This was a little bothersome. But overall a wonderful place to stay and I would return.

Reviewer Comments: This 1 bedroom unit is in a great location with a walk out to the grass area, the barbecues, and the lower pool.It is very comfortable and clean.If anything, it needs updating. The kitchen utensils are camping level, the fridge was on level 9 to chill the milk, the coat hook on the bathroom door was torn off and there was a picture on the floor - the place is in need of some serious tlc.It would take very little expenditure to put this unit back in the top rank where it belongs - its location is perfect.

Our daughter and her family were directly above us, and our son and his family were next to them, so we had a wonderful vacation. The kitchen is well-stocked and the bed is so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning. The location is perfect, and we will probably come back to this unit again.

Water builds up in the frig and leaks onto the floor, every couple days. There was so much dust built up on the ceiling, thrown from the ceiling fan, that I had to vacuum it off myself to avoid looking at it.

Do not make the same mistake. Do not stay in this unit!!!!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Came here as it was recommended by friends. From the pictures online, I knew the unit was dated, but as long as it was clean, that was fine. This was not the case. The 1st day we arrived we noticed the screen didnt work, ants were everywhere and a black film that covered the ceiling in dining area and bedroom, either mold or years of dust, I don't know. The Bathroom was not cleaned, there was hair and shampoo all around tub walls and hair and sand in corners of floor. I asked for it to be cleaned, no one came to clean it. Then discovered the fridge was leaking water and freezer did not work, AND the dryer also didn't work. Maintenance came and said that weeks prior he told manager it needed to be replaced. I talked to manager and he basically said they were original owners that didn't want to put money into the unit anymore. I said its wrong that your renting out a unit that is in this condition, its not fair. There's no where you can move us so now we are stuck in this unit where we don't have a freezer, have to keep a towel under fridge and change everyday as it gets too wet, which gives off a lovely smell. The dryer wont dry our clothes, and the place is covered in years of dust... the ceiling, top of picture frames fans ect. I waited 2 years to come to one of the most beautiful places on earth to stay in a place where I didn't take my shoes off and had to cook and shower in our friends unit. Blows my mind how much we companied and nothing was fixed. Yet, there was mini lights along deck and since our patio light didn't work, we turned them on one night. The next day we walked up to unit to find maintenance removing them as someone complained that it "wasn't Christmas anymore" THE NEXT DAY!!! We companied every day and nothing was done. Since there was no one to be moved we had to stay, we were refunded 2 nights stay and got a $40 card to food last. The request for the cleaning fee and remainder of stay was ignored. So very wrong this place is being rented!!!!!!

Reviewer Comments: This unit was in the worst condition of any Hale Kamaole unit that we have stayed in in 25 years.The carpet was very worn and dirty.The ceiling was dirty and water-stained.The refrigerator leaked water into the floor- likely a plugged defroster drain.The shower/tub plumbing was leaky and in very poor condition. Soapy water from other units came into the tub.No light in the laundry closet.Lamps are in poor condition and one was missing a switch knob.There was no cleaner for toilet bowl or counter tops.
